My husband and I spent a week at this apartment and loved it. The town of Camogli is lovely, and not too busy in the first week of September. We enjoyed the local fresh pasta and sauce, and several of the restaurants and cafes. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed many meals on the balcony overlooking the beautiful view. Nearby hiking to San Rocco/San Frutuosso was spectacular, and ferry ride back a deserved treat. We originally meant to venture out to Genova and Cinque Terre, but couldn't leave where we were as we were enjoying it so much - maybe if we'd had more time....Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Camogli and the surrounding towns are simply magical. Between the The property is spotless and extremely well maintained, and the owner is completely knowledgeable about the area and helpful in all regards. The description is accurate, and the photos don't begin to show the beauty of the area. I would highly recommend this property without hesitation to friends and relatives. I love to hike in the mountain of Portofino, San Rocco, the little beach at the cove in San Fruttuoso, visiting Cinque Terra, taking my children to cooking school and the aquarium of Genoa, local markets in Camogli, Santa Margharita, Rappallo, exploring the villages, the sea, the fantastic food. Loved a restaurant called Xodo at the harbor, and also a little bar in a cliff at San Rocco.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Apartment is positioned in a very beautiful place. There is a little swimming pool very nice. The apartment is wide, very nice, clean and it is very silent….the building is surrounded by trees. I’d like to return next year because apartment is in a good position, close to the central street of Camogli (10 minutes walking..) and close to the beach.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Camogli is a cute little village with charm. It also has very good restaurants. We took a boat to nearby Portofino, which is another cute little village. Stayed most of the day then took the local train to return to Camogli. Also with about a 45 minute train ride check out hiking the Cinque Terre area. Made up of 5 quaint little towns you can hike to and from. The apartment is very nice and comfortable. When you first arrive into town you may want to catch a short cab ride which isn't too expensive until they add your bags to the bill! Once you know where you are, there are steps that take you to and from town, but it is uphill part of the way back from the town. Nice walk. We only took the cab once. To get warm water for showering, you must turn on the water heaters about 30-40 minutes before you want to shower to have a warm shower. The mattresses on two of the beds are a little soft, but it is a very clean and spacious apartment. There was a little confusion in meeting the care taker of the apartment because we didn't have a correct phone number for her. Was asked to send a check for our payment to owner, so was a little hesitant about getting it to her, as I would rather have given a credit card so as not to have to send check via mail, but I sent it Fedex due to the time frame, the P.O. said it could take weeks. Again, very cute little town, and comfortable apartment.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

About the owner: I am an English widow who has lived and worked in Italy 40 years. I live just outside Florence in a 14th century tower with lots of stairs and a magnificent view of the city. I worked as a resident buyer with my husband for many years. It was very hard work but interesting and put you in contact with all sorts of people many of whom became lifelong friends. My American husband died 2 years, and I would like to spend more time travelling instead of passing the summer at the beach. I love music, theatre, old Italian films and picnics in the country. I have five step-grandchildren in the New York area, and three great nieces in Scotland and I love them all to bits.
Why the Owner Chose Camogli:
My late husband visited Camogli in the late 1960's and fell in love with this unique place.
It is completely unspoiled - walking down the narrow streets with the painted houses you feel as if you are in the 15th century. Genoa has an international airport and there is is a frequent
train service from Camogli to other town along the coast

Relaxing on the balcony at 7.00 pm with a glass of prosecco, taking a dip in the pool in the early morning, walking to Camogli after dinner to listen to music at the port or meet friends for a drink, taking a boat trip to swim at San Fruttuoso, a cove in the mountain of Portofino, eating pasta and pesto at one of the typical restaurants - going to Portofino and seeing the mega yachts moored and wondering who they belong to.
