  We had a great weekend, the house's location was wonderful. We loved the layout and there was plenty of seating. The kitchen was supplied well, there was nothing we needed that was not there. The only thing the house could use, was a very good deep clean. Especially the kitchen.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

  We had a wonderful stay at the Tradewinds on the Beach home. It was spacious, comfortable, had a great mostly covered fenced yard for our dogs and a big kitchen and family room. The house is just steps from the beach, which was wonderful. There were very few people on the beach the entire week so we had lots of room and wonderful views. Galveston is a 30 min. drive away so our children in late 20s had plenty to do for entertainment. Nearby Jamaica Beach (10 min.) has some good casual eating places and stores well stocked. This was our second stay at this home and we will be back.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

  The location is amazing and the home was impressive as far as lay-out and overall quality. However, it was not cleaned well, and appeared not to have been cleaned well in quite some time, which was a disappointment. Overall, though, our family greatly enjoyed our stay.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.

  Owner response: Not only is this beach house for rent, but for our personal use as well. We strive to make sure that our home is always clean, not only for us, but also for all our renters. However, I spoke with our cleaning service. We would have appreciated a call, so that we could have sent our cleaning service back out to be sure that you were completely satisfied. Thank you.

  This is a wonderful home with exceptional access to the beach. The home has a covered patio deck that I love sitting out on and reading. I can enjoy the ocean breeze and the view without roasting in the sun. This home is well stocked with paper supplies, it is clean and well kept. I love the floor plan, this house has a wonderful living area and dining area with great views of the ocean. The house does have wifi that works. I was so excited that I could check emails and do some work if I needed to. This home is managed and cared for really well and the owners/property management are very easy to contact if you have questions. You will not go wrong with this house, I have stayed here several times!

  We had a great time! This was a family vacation with 4 young children under 11. The location was perfect! The beach was so close, the deck was covered and shaded all day with wonderful breezes, and we were far enough away from large public areas that we were all very relaxed and comfortable. Very relaxing stay!

  My family came down from NYC and wanted to get a little sun while visiting Houston. We rented this beachouse and fell in love as soon as we pulled in the driveway. Our kids were able to run around and play downstairs. The beach is right outside of the doorstep. We had everything we needed for our stay. The grill is nice and spacious and the deck was cool and breezy. My one and only complaint was that it could have been a little cleaner when we arrived. There was trash left in the trash can from previous renters and a couple of empty beer cans left under the bed, but it was nothing that we couldn't take car of ourselves. Ellen, the owner had great communication and made it very easy to rent this property. Thanks Ellen. My family is already planning our stay there again, next summer.

  My sister and I rented this property for our mom's 60th birthday. We had a wonderful time! My whole family was comfortable, even when we all had to stay inside because a storm hit (only for an hour though). The grill was only a week old and worked great for cooking our two briskets. The beach was RIGHT in our view and all the neighbors were friendly. Highly recommend this property for family use or even a group of friends.

  I loved the beach house. It was spacious and the porch deck was wonderful. My only complaint was the family before us had hairy dogs and the dog hair was somewhat a problem. The sheets weren't clean, had dog hair and stains on them. We took them all off and washed them. Other than that it was a great place to stay. I think the house cleaners should make sure the sheets are always fresh as no one likes dirty sheets. They should also check the air filter to make sure it is clean so the unit doesn't run all the time. We changed it and the dog hair seemed to be more under control. The comforters need to be washed also. I would definitely rent this house again. It was right on the beach and overall we had a wonderful time. These problems were nothing that we couldn't deal with and my family had a great time. I would highly recommend this place and hope to someday return.

  Tradewinds was an excellent house. The pictures do not give the house justice! Tradewinds was much bigger than we had expected. There was plenty of room for all of us! I enjoyed the fact that the deck and the downstairs were both secured by a fence and gates. That was much needed with our dogs! The view was an amazing one right on the beach. I would definitely come back to Tradewinds to stay. We had a fabulous time!

  This home has a beautiful view, ample sleeping and space for many. We had a great time here! A note to the owners... You could do with new linens, comfortors,pillows and matress pads on your beds. Those being used currently are stained and don't appear to have been laundered recently. The sheets are pilling up. The pillows have a strong body oil oder.
