Welcome to the best location on Balboa Island! Bay front with a sandy beach. Our coveted Little Island location is just steps from the charming Village with markets, shops, restaurants, and services. Wake up to beautiful sunrises over the bay and relax in the evening with a BBQ on the bay at sunset! Spend the entire week and never use your car. Our beautifully landscaped, newly furnished 3-bedroom home is complete with every amenity, including all flat screen TVs, to ensure a premier vacation experience. Comfortable soft seating and a great table in the living area create an environment perfect for relaxing, reading, watching the boats go by, playing games, working on craft projects or watching the big game on TV.
The oversized master king bedroom has a gorgeous bay view, flat screen entertainment center, private bath, and a cute deck with a small bay view that is shared with the second queen bedroom. The third bedroom is huge with a private sun deck complete with chaise lounges for sunbathing. It is set up dormitory style with 5 twin beds. Plenty of room for the kids to play games and connect their game system to the flat screen TV. All bedrooms are on the second floor and Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a full bath. A cute downstairs den is a cheerful area that can be converted to another bedroom with a queen fold out couch.
The house has multiple outdoor entertaining areas. The front patio is right on the bay front and has a large dining table, small cocktail table and a BBQ. The back patio is private and is adjacent to the covered parking / garage area. It is perfect for entertaining when you need indoor / outdoor space. All linens, kitchen ware, towels, are provided. Broadband wireless internet and unlimited domestic long distance will keep you connected. For your convenience a full laundry room is available onsite.
Overall this home is bright, cheery, and comfortable. The moment you wander into our beautifully redone 1938 original property and glance over the bay you know you are home! Bring your bikes, kayak, fishing pole, and walking shoes to enjoy all that the beach and bay have to offer.
Balboa Island is in Newport Beach and is only 15 minutes from Orange County / John Wayne Airport, 50 minutes from Los Angeles International Airport, and 75 minutes to San Diego Lindbergh Field Airport. It is a short drive to many Southern California attractions including Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Anaheim Stadium, Honda Center, Laguna Beach, Hollywood, Los Angeles, San Diego Zoo, and Sea World.

We had the perfect Labor Day Weekend stay in this beautiful "Little Island" home. It was well appointed with new cottage style furnishings, lighting, and window coverings which felt luxurious and comfortable at the same time. We spent warm evenings on the front brick patio BBQing and watching the harvest moon rise. The view on the water is peaceful and the location on the island was very quiet, especially on such a busy weekend. With 2 parking spaces in the garage, we never had to drive and walked everywhere, including nearby restaurants and the market. The island is the perfect spot to vacation and we biked to the beach via the ferry, rode the stand up paddle board around the island, and even did a little fishing. We had our own equipment, however, rentals are easily found within a short walk. There was also plenty of time to relax and enjoy the view from several sunny decks and a rear brick patio. The kitchen had all we needed and we found cooking a breeze for our holiday BBQ. The bedrooms were spacious and each had access to a balcony or deck. We had 6 in our group, however, we could have had several more. This is perfect for 2 families or an extended family with a large bunk room and a cozy den w/sleeper sofa. The location is perfect, quiet yet close to everything. We'll definitely be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This home is amazing. My husband and I stayed for an awesome week. The accomodations are so comfortable, cozy and clean. Every amenity was provided. We were there for selection Sunday (NCAA basketball) and were able to enjoy watching our teams on many flat screen TVs. In addition to the interiors perfection the bayside views were breathtaking. We were able to walk to the beach via a short ferry ride and experienced the sights and sounds of Newport Beach. Back on the island, there are many great restaurants and unique shops in walking distance. We were very impressed with everything and didn't want to leave.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Wow...this place is beautiful and exceptionally well maintained. The new furnishings are comfortable, cheery, and pefect for the beach. The entire house is warm and cozy and the bedrooms are large! The view of the bay from the master bedroom is breathtaking. We loved sitting out on the front patio watching the boats go by and enjoying a bbq dinner. The Little Island location is great. It is much quieter than the big island and the east bay front has less wind and crowds. The multiple outdoor areas insure sun or shade at anytime of the day. We loved walking over the Hersey's market (a cute little small town style market) and pick our dinner and wine for the evening! We only had four at the house but it easily sleeps 10 in beds. The kitchen was well stocked with nice plates and pans, etc. The flat screen TV's were much nicer than we have at home. A real treat! All in all a wonderful vacation. We can't wait to go back to Martha's Manor next year! A special thanks to the thoughtful owners and the great bottle of Chardonnay they left as a welcome gift. About the owner: My family started coming to Balboa Island when I was a kid in the 1960s. It has always been my dream to own a home in this charming, relaxing and very special place.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
The home had been lovingly cared for and periodically updated by the same family for over 50 years. We are not ready to retire and live here full time. So we decided to completely refurnish the place and make it the perfect vacation destination to be shared with family, friends, and a few select rental guests.
