With the holidays coming around again, we realized that we had not reviewed our stay in this studio last Christmas. The studio includes everything in the listing and has great luxury touches. The location is fantastic--high on the hill with a magnificant view of the city just across the street and the 37 bus just outside the door so you can access the whole city easily. A wonderful taste of San Francisco! The owner is great to deal with--prompt and courteous. We would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative. Great place all around!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My wife and I stayed in studio at Twin Peaks and it was sublime. Very close to bus stops, extremely comfortable bed, and wonderful shower/bathroom. The space was more than adequate and having the garage was a wonderful asset. I would recommend this anyone visiting San Francisco and would stay again on our next trip. The owner was fantastic in response times, in answering questions and has more than adequate instructions as to what to do upon arrival and departure which was a HUGE comfort to us. The other tenants of the building were very nice and the apartment made for a fantastic stay! Thank you!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We were scheduled to stay at this property for four nites -- we stayed two. In re-reviewing what others stated about this property, I wonder if it is the same place. We have stayed at rentals in several states and outside the US. This property would come in a distant last. First, we had major difficulty accessing the garage (finally did after several calls with the owner). There was no garage door opener provided (btw, there is no screen door behind the sliding glass door, so we had to buy a fan to cool the place and to suppress the noise from the continual walking at all hours in the residence above). The upper patio is a joke -- it was filthy (certainly not "a perfect place to surf . . . with a drink"). I'm not sure where the "owners do a great job of maintaining the building" comes in. In the kitchen, the stove didn't work. The glassware, silverware, and even dishes look like they were intended for one adult and one child. On the positive side, there was a washer and dryer (just bring lots of quarters). and the shower was one of the best I've seen. Still, the description of the bathroom is misleading at best. Nice TV. Definitely would not recommend this rental to anyone.Owner response: I have hosted over 600 nights and hundreds of guests in this apartment and have not had any problems so it was clear to me that I was due to have a problem guest at some point. This was my only guest who was not able to read and follow the simple check in instructions I had sent to him. He had a problem accessing the garage because he was trying to open the garage in the building next door, imagine my surprise! He also does not know how to operate an electric cooktop, which is working just fine. When talking to him on the phone, he sounded disappointed that he was not staying in the two bedroom view penthouse when he had rented the studio. When you read the Property Unit description, it says Studio, so it's hard to see how that is misleading. We have installed covers on the patio furniture to prevent dust from the mountain blowing down, as a benefit to our future guests. As a follow up note, I will always do my best to provide the best services to our guests and respond to constructive criticisms. However, it can be a bit frustrating to deal with a guest who does not know how to read or follow simple instructions and then falsely and vindictively claims my descriptions about the apartment are not accurate. Clearly his views do not represent that of the many other guests who have stayed here.

Twin Peaks is a great place to stay if you want the San Francisco experience without being stuck in the busy downtown area. We didn't rent a vehicle, so we used the MUNI system. Just remember MUNI route 37! The bus stop is just around the corner from the apartment and the bus arrives often. Be sure to use MUNI route planner. They also have a great mobile app. The apartment itself is wonderful. It was very clean and neat. The bathroom is a definite hidden gem. The shower is wonderful. Remember it is a studio apartment, so the apartment is small. My wife and I were able to stay here comfortably. Besides occasional foot-steps upstairs, it's quiet. The neighborhood is friendly & safe, with an excellent view of downtown. Mark (owner) is quick with his responses and helpful. Definitely would recommend this apartment to others!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My fiance and I stayed here for a one-week getaway to San Francisco, and it was an overall great place. The owner was very prompt in all communications with us, and our deposit was returned without a problem. The views from the area are stunning. The studio itself was very clean and the decor was modern, just note that it is a true studio in size. The highlights would definitely be the shower and the big-screen TV that you could watch from bed. The photos reflect the studio well. Nearby Noe Valley is a great area with good food and fun stores. One thing to consider is access to transit. We took public transit for the entire week and didn't have any trouble during the day when we left the studio, but at night the area is a bit quiet and the buses don't run super often. The walk to Noe Valley is beautiful and downhill, but the walk back is the most vertical uphill I have ever experienced! I would definitely recommend this place if you have a vehicle, but be a bit more hesitant if you are only taking public transit, especially if your travel days go from late morning to late nights like ours. We like to walk everywhere, but by the end of the week, it was getting a bit much! Last thing -- no fault of the owner, but we woke up to construction next door for most of the week and power failure on one of the last days. But that's life in the city! All in all, enjoyed our stay, would return if we rent a car next time. And a kettle would be nice :) Thanks!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

This rental was the perfect find for our San Francisco stay. Clean, cozy, comfortable, and my first experience with a bidet! The free parking was the main reason we chose this location, and I'm so glad we did. We had no problems getting anywhere in the city we wanted to be and even had delicious vegetarian Chinese food delivered. The owner was very easy to work with and the safety deposit was promptly refunded after our stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We had a great time while visiting San Francisco. A huge part of that was staying in the Twin Peaks Studio. I have already recommended it to friends who are thinking of visiting San Francisco. The studio has so many pros: 1)it was easy to find, 2)is a half block from 3 bus lines which easily connect at large Muni Stations 3)is within walking distance to a Safeway grocery store, 4)is in a neighborhood which has a residential feel, rather than a "touristy" feel 5) was VERY clean,6) has a very comfortable bed, 7)has an enclosed garage, 8)has the MOST AMAZING shower (I wish I could have brought that home with me!) This are just some that have popped in my head while writing. There are very few cons (if they can even be considered that) 1)Is a true studio apartment 2) this is reaching, but there isn't an icemaker in the fridge. Can these things be considered cons? Debatable. Thanks, Mark, for being fabulous to work with!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I have stayed in various vacation rentals throughout the bay area and this unit was by far one of my favorites for a relaxing! Here's the scoop...Owner: A delight to deal with. Very responsive, professional, clear on his instruction, quick turn-around for deposit refund, very reasonable departing expectations, and best of all, the unit is very private and quiet with Laundry right outside of the unit. After parking, you are literally steps away from the front door, no stairs to climb or multiple doors to go through. The inside of the unit is very modern fully equipped with a bidet toilet, with seat warmer, bottom dryer, etc. Beautifully tiled shower and very efficient use of space in the kitchenette area – it is small and best for light cooking. We briefly met the neighbors and they seem fantastic, after meeting them in the garage when we first arrived, it made us feel a lot more comfortable, they were very sweet and took the time to welcome us and wish us a great stay. There are only two other units in the building. LOVED IT! The leather couch is appreciated as you can disinfect that from stay to stay versus a cloth sofa. The bedding was very comfortable. The blanket inside of the duvet cover was plush, as well as the rest of the bedding. High quality linens do make a difference and this place had it! There is a lovely rolodex with handwritten quotes, a great music collection, the best book collection for a vacation rental. They provided a binder with all of the local restaurants and attractions, as well as pre-printed driving instruction and map which was convenient. No need to pre-plan entertainment, this unit is set up to give you plenty of ideas for having a great time. Two thumbs up on this stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for a couple of days while we visited San Francisco and it was perfect for us. The furniture looks brand new, the place is impecably clean and there are a bunch of special touches like memory foam mattress (I was able to sleep through my hubby's tossing and turning!!), a heated toilet seat (loved that!), flat screen TV and even a Wii console. There is a garage so we never had to worry about where to park our rental car, and there were many restaurants and pubs in the area. There is a washing machine and dryer just outside the door, which was perfect because we had packed light. There is not much of a view from the apartment, but you could see the entire city from across the street. The owner made the process very easy and was very prompt in returning our security deposit.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
