  My husband and I were in town to visit family and want to thank Helen and Richard for their hospitality and their wonderful casita. We have stayed at other locations using VRBO, but to our satisfaction this was the best yet. You have all the comforts of home and you and couldn't wish for more. Helen and Richard even though about the smallest details of having laundry detergent, dish detergent, small bottles of shampoo and conditioner. They thought about all the small details that you would normally have to go and purchase upon your arrival. The decor throughout the whole place was beautiful as well as comfortable. You can see and access the pool from both the masterbedroom as well as the living room. It was so refreshing to sit by the pool in the morning and have my coffee and enjoy the sunshine. If visiting Vista again in the future, this will be my go to place.

  This was a last minute stay for us. but it was just what we were looking for. The owners Richard and Helen were very kind, helpful and accommodating. The unit is very nice and clean in a secluded residential location. The bed was very comfortable, the shower is huge and it is a very quiet place to stay. If I was ever back in the area to do some relaxing, I would definitely look at staying here again.

  The casita was exactly as described and proved a great vacation stay for my two young children and me. It was clean, comfortable, and very peaceful. Even my nine-year-old son commented on the quiet, peaceful surroundings. It was a great location for our visits to Legoland, Disneyland, the Wild Animal Park, and the beach. Richard and Helen are fantastic renters!

  My parents really enjoyed their stay at the casita. The layout of the space was perfect and allowed for them to feel like they were comfortable and at home. They woke up each morning and enjoyed coffee on the patio while listening to the birds. The casita was very clean and had everything that you could want or need while on vacation. The decor was truly beautiful; such lovely touches really make a difference in making the casita a very special place. I would recommend this rental to anyone visiting the San Diego area. The hosts Richard and Helen went above and beyond to ensure my parents felt welcomed and comfortable. Thank you so much for your assistance and making it a great vacation for my them!

• Very Comfortable

  The Casita is exactly as advertised. The bed was extremely comfortable which is a very big plus. We had all the basics supplied and it was very easy to cook there. The bathroom was a nice size with an extra large shower. Helen and Richard are terrific, any problems or questions are attended to very quickly. The location is close to all the San Diego attractions and it's about a 2 hour drive to Los Angeles. This is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it.

• Just an absolutely perfect place

  Was in the area for 13 days on business and didn't want to stay at a hotel with a bunch of kids running around due to the odd hours I sometimes work. I couldn't have made a better choice--the listing is too modest, actually. The casita is absolutely perfect for one or two or a family traveling with a couple of kids. The pool is great, the scenery is great and the area is quiet. The owners, Richard and Helen, are right there if you have a question but are otherwise unobtrusive and respect your privacy. Next time I'm in the area I hope they'll have an opening. Thanks for a great two weeks!

  Richard and Helen provided a wonderful retreat! The place is beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything needed. It was a perfect home base for our daily trips to Legoland, and other attractions like the Wild Animal Park. Having the washer and dryer made it much easier to pack for a 10 day trip. The AC and ceiling fans made it very comfortable, and I'm very jealous of the huge shower! And the pool right out the back door which we had all to ourselves was a great way to start and end the day. A great place for 2, but plenty of room for our 2 small kids as well. We will most definitely stay here again!

  My son and I spent ten nights in this lovely and beautifully decorated casita. The swimming pool was refreshing, parking was right at our doorstep. Helen and Richard are warm, caring people who really make you feel at home. Another very helpful piece of info on Richard and Helen is that they are very prompt in returning any messages or questions we had. It was a pleasure to vacation at this very special "home away from home" and I look forward to our next stay!

  Very important is that the owners Helen and Richard , are so pleasant and helpful. During the stay, they provided us privacy , yet were always available for any requests. The casita is more lovely in person of course, but accurately represented in photos and description on the website. It is wonderfully decorated and clean and organized. The kitchen has everything you need and the washer and dryer are excellent. The King size bed was very comfortable and it is very quiet for peaceful sleeping. The pool was so clean and soothing. There is a park a short drive away , Brengle Terrace Park, and Alta Vista Gardens, that Helen suggested , that is great for walking and which has a variety of garden paths. They also have an evening outdoor theater in the summer. We could not have been more happy and pleased to find this perfect property and would wholeheartedly recommend to any friend or relative and to those like me who are always a little apprehensive about making plans online. We hope to return. Thanks so much Helen and Richard for sharing your lovely casita!

  My second, and longest, stay in this secret jewel. I loved it! Finest weather, seclusion, and many lazy days by the pool Every comfort of home amidst San Diego, an undeniable superlative as vacation destinations go. Affordable paradise if you're lucky enough to get here--I highly encourage those who get the chance. Thanks Helen and Richard, the gardens are lovelier than the last time!
