  The Rosella cottage is a nice place in a beautiful setting on a lake. It's a 2 unit place -- upper and lower. It was clean and comfortable though it took a little finesse on our part to get the temperature set right. It has electric baseboard heat and the wall-mounted thermostats require a gentle touch to adjust the temperature. The leather furniture is well past its prime as the leather has dried out and the surface is beginning to flake off. It didn't affect the comfort of the furniture -- it was just the aesthetics. There was a nice deck on the back of each unit, though it was too chilly while we were there to utilize it. There's also a hot tub that we didn't use but I can imagine it being used if the weather was appropriate. They have decent laundry facilities at the property. The owners are good to work with. We had one small problem that we had to call them about on Thanksgiving Day morning. They promptly got someone to come over and fix the problem. Although it is a few miles out of the downtown Charlotte area, it was an easy drive in to the city. There was a grocery store a short distance down the road, which was really convenient. My bottom line: I'd stay there again and I'd recommend it to friends.

  Extremely nice and Peaceful yet close to everything Charlotte has to offer. We will definitely be back again next year !!!!

  I can't tell you how enjoyable my stay was at this location. You most certainly can't describe a book by its cover and the same applies to this cottage. I am very well equipped when I travel but anything I did not have the owners covered it. I was really pleased at how well stacked the cottage was and it made my stay more pleasurable I left my stamp of appreciation for the owners for a well kept space. I will definitely make my visit annual and I will be returning 2013 for sure!!

  We really enjoyed our stay -- the house was convenient, well-kept and very nice with good amenities. The owners were very helpful when we needed anything, and enjoying their boat on the lake was fantastic. It's amazing how close it is to the City, but yet how far away from the hassle you feel out on the lake! I'd definitely recommend this house to everyone.

  I stayed at Rosella Cottage for the one weekend and was very satisfied with my stay. Owners were very nice and helpful. Everything was exactly as described inside and out. Very close to Downtown Charlotte area but cottage itself was very quiet and relaxing. I would definitely stay again and would also recommend to friends.

  First, I want to thank the owners as they really were super hospitable and helpful. The duplex was nice and clean and had a good assortment of entertainment options for us (dad and two teenagers). It comfortably slept the three of us, although an extra bed (two full size in one of the two bedrooms) or a pull out couch would have been ideal. The kitchen was decently equipped although some of the pots and pans definitely showed their age and limited what could be done for avoiding take out. One of the two boats was out of commission, which was a little disappointing, and the pontoon boat had been damaged by a previous renter and worked okay, but also had some steering issues, so inner tubing and water skiing were pretty limited. Loved the smoke grill Traeger for cooking, which cooks with wood chip smoke and was great to have (and super hassle free). All in all, a very nice experience. Grocery stores and amenities were very close and convenient.

  My wife and i had a great time. We hated leaving. The boat rental was a great activity to do each afternoon, there were some quality places to eat near by, grocery store 3 miles away. it was one of the best vacations we have ever been on.

  Better then expected and so much more. Perfect get-a-way on the lake plus close to what you need. The owners were fantastic to work with and went above and beyond. I will be coming back for sure.
