Fern Lake is a little slice of heaven! Loved this quaint cabin. 5 of us stayed and it was very comfortable and had everything we could need. Waking up in the morning to the loons, ducks, and geese was great! Had coffee and breakfast on the deck which is right on the water's edge (almost)! Great area for some serious bike riding and the cove provided a protected area that proved wonderful for swimming too! The kyacks were a wonderful addition too! The owner was very helpful and available, the photos matched exactly to what was there and the cabin was clean and well maintained. The Dancing Bears restaurant in Lake Placid (about 30 minutes away) was a wonderful place to grab some good food when we did not eat at the cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin, except when we want to stay there! Hope to be back next year!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Three of us rented the cabin for a week. Had coffee on the deck and watched the loons. Brought three dogs with us, they enjoyed walking the lake roads and the people in the kayaks. Went and visited various sites Lake Placid was about a half hour away. The cabin was comfortable and had everything needed to cook and prepare meals and even had a TV for the rainy days when you were tired of reading. The owners are very responsive and we all had a great week.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners.

This camp was perfect for my needs. It offered me all I was looking for. Right at the waters edge, loons, bald eagle, kayaks a nice swimming area. My dog enjoyed the easy entry and the wonderful swimming. I enjoyed the use of the kayaks. The house was rustic but clean and cozy. It kept me dry during the rain showers and gave me a great place to rest at night. The house was located not far from great biking and a very easy drive to Lake Placid. I would stay here again. Thank you for being so understanding.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers.
