  This was a excellent place to stay. Great location, excellent layout with lots of light and a great deck. The owners were very helpful and I would not hesitate to return.

  This was a great rental for our family during the holidays. We had five adults and a kid. Certainly not the lap of luxury, but it felt like home. It was also great for our 4-year-old, and a close walk to the Mission and the heart of Potrero Hill on 18th street. I'd highly recommend it for a family!

  My husband and I rented this charming Portrero Hill home for the weekend. The owners were so accommodating with our requests and we really appreciated their quick response and flexibility. The house is cute, spacious and well maintained. There is an amazing deck as well. We felt like this was our home away from home and would definitely rent it again if we have the chance.

  I don't feel that the previous reviews are balanced. Pros: This is a cute cottage and the owner is a home stager so the furnishings and decorations are "hip" mid century. There is a large outside deck with view and a fenced yard that is perfect if you are traveling with a canine friend. Large flatcreen TV and wifi. Great little store 1/2 block away that has everything you need. Cons: The kitchen and bathroom are old -- 50s era stove, dishwasher needs to be wheeled over and attached by a hose to the sink, toilet runs and runs, toilet seat is falling off, toilet has to be plunged often. There is noisy construction across the street. Washer and dryer are downstairs in a dirty garage.

  Owner response: Janet, so sorry you felt our antique oven was a negative. It was refurbished when it was purchased at auction and works perfectly! Toilet has been fixed, construction across the street has been completed. We make every effort to make sure our guests have every comfort in our charming cottage. :)

  We (a family of 6 including 1 toddler, 1 baby and 2 grandparents!) spent one week in this cozy and comfortable cottage in Potrero Hill and it was the perfect resting spot as we visited family in SF and did a little sight seeing. The house is located on a residential street in Potrero Hill which is a hip neighborhood with cool little shops and restaurants. The house itself is wonderful with 3 bedrooms (one is kind of small but perfect for my toddler), a nice open kitchen (flooded with sunlight in the afternoons) overlooking the backyard, a great deck and the decor is well done as the owner is an interior designer. We also loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer in the house so perfect for families. The owner was also super helpful and stopped by to say hello. If you stay here, be sure to visit nearby restaurant Plow which is a small restaurant recently opened for breakfast or lunch. It is a small place but a true gem. We loved it so much that we went twice! There was also ample street parking and if not, you can park in the drive way. Whole Foods is also a short drive away. This house is not for those who don't drive, as it is not located in the city center. You can walk to local shops and restaurants but it is a bit of a hike and the streets in the vicinity are classic but hilly SF streets. Also, note that there is a set of somewhat steep steps at the front of the house but that is true for alot of San Fran homes. The only drawback about the house itself is that it only has one bathroom for 3 bedrooms but we dealt with it. Also, the living room is not huge but perfectly comfortable for us. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this property especially to families who are staying for more than a couple of nights.

  I stayed in this beautiful cottage with my two kids ages 8 and 10 for 5 days in August. The house was great, perfect for entertaining (we had a small dinner party). The decor is simple and hip. The view from the upstairs, outdoor deck is fantastic and it's a perfect place to sit in the morning and have a cup of coffee or in the evening and have a glass of wine. All of the beds were very comfortable (especially the one in the front room). The shower had great water pressure. Good location, small convienience store and good breakfast cafe within walking distance and it was easy to get to all the tourist attractions (by car) too. I will definitly stay here again the next time we go to San Francisco!

  I would like to say that overall this was an excellent rental experience. The owner is prompt on email and a most gracious and hospitable hostess, accommodating every request our group had, including last minute booking and late check-in. All communications were very clear and made with care. The owner made sure to clearly explain how to enter the building, how to use the wifi, etc. The apartment itself is very charming, so much that we found it hard to leave! The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable and easily accommodated our group of 3 visiting software engineers. Excellent spot for out of town visitors or even a local 'stay'cation as you will feel on top of the world with the prime Potrero Hill location and beautiful views from the back deck, which is perfect for evening relaxation or cocktail hour. An entirely pleasant rental experience and would rent again without hesitation!

  Spent a long weekend here and would highly recommend to anyone spending time in San Francisco. The House is amazing, has everything you need in a vacation rental. And the deck, yes the deck...spectacular views and a great space for a BBQ. Potrero is a cool little district in San Francisco and tucked away from the hectic downtown scene, but still very close to everything you need to see. Easy parking was a huge plus. Heather was super helpful and a delight to rent from.
