When our sons football camp was moved to our already arranged vacation week, we had to scramble to find another vacation home in Cape Cod. Well, thank you Coach Cane! Because Upwind was a major upgrade from the place we had planned on. Luckily the onl open week they had left worked out perfect for us First the location is very centrally located to everything and the house is right off the beach. Goggle Earth the address and you will see what a stellar location you will be renting. Beautiful views and a 200-250 yard beach that only the local neighbourhood seems to be aware of. The house is much more spacious than the square footage indicates as everything is extremely well planned out. Brian and Gail have not just done major updates like the kitchen and the decks, they have dozens of high quality extras for you to enjoy ranging from the outside shower to full video libraries to brand new washer / dryer to a basket filled with local brochures and restaurants menus to detailed instruction on how to operate the TVs and cable. Everything you need they have provided in multiples - bench chairs, towels (closet full), outside deck seating, loads of comfortable seating though the house and even a wide array of toilettes for your use. With 3 teenagers who are all about Ipods and Smart Phones, the blazing fast wireless internet was terrific. Our hosts were outstanding as they sent us maps of the area, brochures of activities I had mentioned we were interested in (fishing, shopping) and several guide books before we arrived. They treated us like family friends not renters. Will we return in 2012? Heck, I would like to buy the place and live there Chris, Patty and boys.
Owner response:Many of our guests make these same comments to us, but do not take the time to submit on line. Thanks to Chris and family for doing so and glad you had a great stay at our home. You are welcome back anytime. We welcome nice families like yours!

I stayed here with my parents, brother and partner, my husband, and our two small children. We had a wonderful week in a wonderful home. It is perfect for families with and without children. It is very comfortable with every convenience you can imagine - best of all - it's close proximity to a very calm beach is perfect for small children along with a bridge for crabbing. The outdoor shower is a special treat. If you seek waves, sea gull beach is only a few miles away. The owners are charming and helpful and near if you need anything.

What an experience!! I must say that this home had the best location in West Yarmouth! Perfect for kids (ours are ages 10, 7, and 4). We were sitting on the top deck enjoying the ocean view, and we had 3 people tell us that the house was the best on the beach! Thanks again for letting us use your wonderful beach house for our vacation! You can't get any closer to the ocean unless you are actually in it! Sixty seconds from shopping and plenty of places to eat! Wonderful owners! It can't get any better. Thanks again!!

We just got back from another week at the house. We had stayed there last year as well and had a lot of fun both times. As others have mentioned, the house is fully equipped so you really just need to bring your clothes. We have 2 little kids (ages 2.5 and 6mo) and the house had all of the essentials and then some for them. It was very nice to not have to pack a high chair, booster seat, sand toys, water floats, umbrella, umbrella stroller, plastic cups/bowls/plates, etc. The house has baby gates on the stairs as well. The water is close enough that it's easy to walk there with kids and stuff, but not so close as you worry about them making a quick run for the water when you turn your back. The location is very convenient for Hyannis, stores, restaurants, and the Zooquarium which the kids loved. We would definitely stay there again!

I rented this place because I wanted to have a view of the ocean and also be centrally located. The house was very nice, fully equipped and accommodated me, my husband and our 3 older children (19-24) and 2 friends very comfortably. It has the best outdoor shower which we used all the time. The landlords were very nice and left us a cute gift basket when we arrived. It was great to have the beach right at our doorsteps and the house was a great location for a short drive to many of the Cape beaches and shopping.

My family had the most wonderful vacation at Four Winds on the Cape. The house was perfectly situated. We walked over to the sand every morning with our coffee, watched the sailboats and the fishermen. A perfect way to start the day. We ended each day on the upstairs balcony, watching the sun set. We will definitely be back.

The cottage was wonderful. I especially enjoyed the view from the balcony. The kids enjoyed the loft and spiral staircase. My husband enjoyed the feel of total relaxation. All the amenities made it so comfortable that we didn't want to leave! We had an amazing vacation staying at Upwind. It's been our best rental cottage to date and hope to return next year!

Stayed at Upwind from 7/7-7/14. The house is great, has a lot of nice extras for use (movies, music, beach chairs etc.) The location is wonderful. We were fortunate to catch a beautiful fireworks display over Lewis Bay from the upper balcony of the house. Th beach was clean, the water warm and the fish were biting. A great vacation for our family!

We took a girl trip to the Cape and were lucky enough to find this treasure of an ocean home. The home is immaculate and charming but equally as important is dealing with Brian and Gail. They are so accomodating and helpful, I feel as though I have made new friends. As landlords, they were prompt with contracts and returned securtiy deposits, and made sure that our every need was met. I will return next year for two weeks, hopefully :)

What a wonderful stay we had at Upwinds in West Yarmouth. We felt very "at home" because of all the accomadations the Quinn's provide. Our children ages 6 and 3 thoroughly enjoyed the crabbing and shelling right in Lewis Bay. We loved the views from the deck and balcony and the assessibility to all the family attractions on Route 28. From bumper boats and Go Carts to ice-cream and shopping, we did it all! These memories will certainly last a life time!

This was a wonderful way to escape the June heatwave that Connecticut experienced while I spent several days in the cooler climate of Cape Cod. The Quinn's cottage is all they claim it to be and much more. Very relaxing and close to all the photographic opportunities that I could squeeze into a few short days. The beach was great for sunning, walking, shell and rock searching and enjoying the view. A great place for family and friends. Highly recommended.

We just left today and we already miss it. My family enjoyed every minute of this long awaited vacation. We stayed in a beautiful home with every comfort you could think of. The views are great, the deck and balcony were wonderful, the breeze from the ocean is refreshing and the sunsets were breath taking. Our children already want to return to sleep in the loft and climb down the spiral staircase to wake us every morning at 6 a.m. Every memory made here will be treasured.

We really enjoyed our stay, there is so much to do beaches, shopping, Heritage Plantation, Plymouth Village. We enjoyed bike riding on paved paths through the National Seashore. The cottage had everything we needed, better equipped than our own home! We really enjoyed the deck and the kids loved the spiral stairs and the loft area above the living room. We hope to return again.

We just came home from a week at "Upwind" and I cried all the way home, I didn't want to leave. It was soooo relaxing AND we had two 16yr olds & three 13yr old boys with us. didn't hear "I'M BORED" once!!!!! There was so much for them to do. They fished & tried to catch crabs for hours. They could play in the yard, or on the street! It was a very safe & quiet neighborhood. Then there's batting cages, golf, mini-golf, driving range trampolines, Zooquarium, go -carts, they are literally minutes away. There was plenty of room & all the bedrooms where so big, they could actually hang out in them!! AND the loft area with the balcony was a Godsend. The view is breathtaking. I can't say enough about this vacation home. All you need to bring is your suit & sunscreen, THEY supplied everything else. Have Fun!!! Tom & Dianne Jordan

Great vacation spot. Plenty of room and extra amenities. Right next to the beach and great views from the two large decks. Quiet and comfortable and only a few minutes drive to almost anything. Highly recommended.

It is always a pleasure to return to this lovely home on Cape Cod. Alot of fond memories over the years. This home has a very special feel to it that gives me the sense that I am right at home - my home. Great spot with Hyannis Ferry, wind surfer and sailboat activity. See you next year!
