We had a lovely time at this cottage. It was just big enough for a family of four who likes to spend time outdoors. The outdoor kitchen was well-stocked with anything we needed to cook with - amazing. Just bring your own food. The fire pit was especially fun - we could roast marshmallows even in the rain! The beach was great for a 7 and 11 year old - lots of wading, looking for fish, and floating. The dock was a treat to have breakfast on, and jump off of into the clear water. We brought our boat, and there was lots of room to tie it up at the dock as well. The highlight for our youngest was the stream running through the property, with bullheads and young salmon. Endless fun. The friendly ducks were fun as well. The only down side was a smell in the cottage. But since we were outside most of the time, it wasn't a big deal. This place is a good spot to use as a base for exploring the area, and to spend some time swimming and relaxing. The owner is helpful and friendly.Recommended for: Adventure seekers.
Owner response: A wonderful family that truly appreciated the two acres of privacy and the lake lake in all it's beauty, which they explored. There was a strange smell from the the new fridge, but it has since been rectified. There is now a new bed set and new down duvets added for comfort. I am looking forward to the family returning as they said they would love to, they're delightful !

The location of the property is very nice and quiet. The property is described as rustic, which is to be taken quite literally. It is located directly on the lake with a pebble beach and a (fairly new) jetty. On the property is a larger and a smaller house, the greater is inhabited by the very friendly and helpful owner, the smaller one is for rent. It's small, musty and crammed with "small stuff". It has a mini kitchen (no cooking facilities) and a very small bedroom (1 queen size bed and a cot above) An older TV (tube) is present. Except for sleeping, the cottage is not suitable for residence. The "portable toilet" is located outside (about 10yd). 15yd behind the cottage is a separate bathroom with sink, shower, hot and cold water. It is the usual standard. In front of the cabin, is a covered seating and a simple kitchen with coffee maker, gas stove, sink and a large gas BBQ. It is possible to light a campfire (device, and wood available) The living here is very simple and is more like camping. Unfortunately, everything is is not particular clean. Anyone who does not hesitate to set up a little, can spend a very relaxing vacation.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: A wonderful couple who enjoyed their swim every morning and then breakfast on a table on the wharf, at their request. This Property is advertised as being "rustic" and that is exactly what it is. The Guest cabin is not to be used for cooking. The guest cabin is cleaned well before new tenants arrive with clean linen and a Down Duvets and I have just purchased a new bed. There is a new 18 cu ft fridge. A TV with full Cablevision and a DVD and WiFi. This couple said they loved the outdoor nature of the property with so much space and the firepit area, with lots of wood provided. I enjoyed being able to speak their language and we had some good visits.

This is without a doubt the most relaxing place in the world. My husband loved the fishing and I loved the hikes, canoeing, kayaking and floating in the water. The Grand-children just wanted to stay in the water all the time but there was lots of room for them to run around. The creek running through the property was awesome, also if you were really lucky, you would see the "visiting elk"! . The claw foot tub tucked away on the lawn in the corner was quite wonderful to soak in at the end of the day! It was great to have room for all of our motorhomes, electric plug ins, water and the new shower house was absolutely amazing. The outhouse was only emptied once a week but it was cleaned at least once a day so there were no problems or odours whatsoever. The whole place was kept absolutely immaculate. We hope to go back every year!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

We just got back from spending 5 days at this beautiful place. The owner was welcoming, easygoing and provided us with anything we needed. The lake is breathtaking and the cabin is clean and cozy but my favorite part is the outdoor kitchen area! It is stocked up with everything you could possibly need and want and decorated with lights and quirky decorations. There is a brand new outdoor spa where we all enjoyed hot showers as well as plenty of lounging/relaxing areas. We had an amazing time at this property and are definetly going to make this an annual trip. Thanks Noni for an amazing time at an amazing place! Can't wait to see you again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

The owner lives very close to the guest house overlooking the guest area so we found that privacy is an issue, the only bathroom is an outhouse that is cleaned once a week. But the lake was nice and so was the dock and the outdoor kitchen.Owner response: I find it unfair that this person would write a description of my property this way. Her cheque bounced and I phoned to let her know and she hung up on me! It's been 3 weeks and I still do not have the money she owes me. I am surprised that this group of 7 could not find privacy as there is two acres of land and 165 feet of beechfront for their use only.
