The master suite offers a king bed, the upstairs guest bedroom two twin beds and additional guests can enjoy the remarkably comfortable pull out sofa. Our stay was just what we needed for our family to enjoy 10 days together! It was a perfect spot! We enjoyed watching the whales from the lanai every morning we had breakfast or while enjoying dinner. The best part was the view from the kitchen while cooking! AMAZING. The loft upstairs was a great place for our 2 children. The condo was very clean and kitchen was very well stocked! Actually, the whole condo is stocked for your stay. If you are looking for fancy, busy, and packed full of people...go somewhere else. If you want to just hang out, enjoy the peace, live life to the fullest, you do not have to look any further. Bethany was a great help with any questions we had and was very prompt with her emails and phone calls. Did not have any problems with anything. I would highly recommend this unit for any couple or family of 4. We booked all of our adventures through Sarah at the concierge desk. She was so helpful and knew the island very well! We had done a ton of research on our own and she cleared up all of our questions and booked what was best for our family. I would definately see her before booking any trip. There are reasons you can find them for cheaper online and I am so thankful I did not book online! She also steered us in exactly the right direction for restaurants for our family to enjoy. And, if you stay here, do not for get to go to Java Jazz across the street for your meals, it is not just a coffee shop-AMAZING food! Pizza place is great too! Wishing I was back at the condo enjoying my morning coffee gazing into the ocean! THANK YOU Bethany for a wonderful stay! My children are already asking to book for next year! My husband and I just returned from our 25th trip to Maui including numerous stays at Papakea as we have friends who are owners. I am retired Delta Airlines, therefore we have travelled quite a bit to say the least. I must say we love Papakea as a resort. Our experience at Property 353405 was not good. To begin with, there was a problem with our payment going through to vrbo which was an issue with the property owner and vrbo. My husband finally made contact with her and was told the problem should be resolved in a couple days. (If she knew there was a problem she should have let us know). Finally payment went through. We were concerned about the payment being late and not being able to book another place. A week prior to dpearture I left her a message for what to do when we arrived etc. No response. I contacted Papakea and was told they showed us checking in. Owner sent us an email while we were flying with the code to get into the unit. Thankfully the email came through on our phone. Papakea told us they would not have been able to let us in without code. The condo was in terrible condition. The slats in the blind were missing (no privacy). No blankets. It was chilly at night with the high winds. I don't care to cover with bedspeads (who knows what is on them). Only 1 plug upstairs. One plug burned.Couldn't use tv, clock or lamp so why were they there? For looks in photos. Needed other plug for medical equip. Light switches so sticky I had to wash my hands. Floors FILTHY! (Cobwebs on floor moldings.) Screen door broken. Micro filthy. Bathroom rugs dirty. Sheets in main bed too old and worn. I clorox wiped everything. No light switch upstairs. The view was awesome. If it wasn't for the view the stay would have been a total disaster. We had to pay a cleaning fee. I don't know why because it wasn't clean. Loved the condo, it was clean and well equiped for visitors. I also loved that when we had questions the owner was easily reached without delay. She was polite and helpful each time. Wished the wireless internet would have worked the entire time, it was spotty at best, but luckily I didnt need it too much. My trip was great and I would definitely book this condo in the future.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This is my 6th time at Papakea and this unit was one of the nicest I have experienced. Great view from the lanai, well stocked kitchen - we cooked every night because none of our party wanted to leave the property! We had a slight issue with the sink and Dave from Maid in the Shade came right away - the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Dave - we love you! This unit is absolutely loved by the owner. Even the sheets are monogramed! I can highly recommend this unit -the ease of booking with a credit card, communication from the owner and the quality of the unit and its furnishings - all first class! Thank you for sharing!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our 1st stay in this condo unit but hopefully won't be our last. Photos on VRBO accurately reflect the condo. Furnishings are comfortable & homey. Condo location within the resort is perfect, providing a wonderful view of both ocean & grounds. We loved watching whale activity from the lanai every day and sunsets in the evenings. Parking for this unit is as close as you can get. Not all buildings at this resort have this luxury. Another plus to this resort condo is the 2 pools (one heated, one not) and the 2 large hot tubs. The beach closest to this specific condo building has beautiful sand instead of rocks or coral making it great for swimming & snorkling. We walked up the beach towards Kahana one day & down the beach towards Kaanapali on several days. Filled a cooler & spent a day at a beach park close to the Beach boardwalk & Westin Kaanapali Ocean resort. This vacation was simply to rest & recover so we didn't do any special activities but there is always plenty to do on Maui. Being able to walk to shopping, eateries, parks, etc. make this condo resort one of our favorites on Maui. Next year we're definately going whale watching! So far our favorite places to eat out at are China Boat in Kahana, Roy's at Kahana, Mama's Ribs -Napili & Sansei-Kapalua.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We must love it. Have stayed in the condo three times and looking to stay again this year. Great furnishing and the location is perfect within the resort. A view of the ocean and the grounds and the parking gives the easiest access to the elevators to the the B building. Not true for many of the other buildings. Plus you are minutes from Lahaina and Kapalua and everything in between. Great barbecues at the pool and even better, some delicious take out half a block away. Take a stroll down the beach to Duke's for Happy Hous Mai Tais (no driving). PARADISE!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
