We arrived at Camp Verde with a bit of apprehension as we weren't sure exactly what we would find. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. The cabin was beautiful, very clean and easily accessible. It is close enough to Sedona to go in for hikes, shopping, eating, etc. Ample towels and bedding were in the bathrooms and on beds. We had a group of nine (if you could the baby who slept in a porta-crib). We were able to sleep all, due to the three bedrooms and the loft, along with a trundle bed under one of the twin beds. We hiked back to the river and our son-in-law took the baby out for a hike at 6:00 in the A.M. and saw a beaver at the river. We roasted marshmallows over the campfire in back of the house too. We went hiking to Devil's Bridge and Soldiers Pass, up to Brinns Mesa and also went to Cathedral Rock Park. We also took a ride on the Verde Railroad, a great trip. We all had a great time. The cabin is spacious with lots of windows and a huge dining room table where we could all eat. Kitchen is perfect with all working appliances and a nice pantry for storing any food you might bring. The washer and dryer work just great. There is also a table on the outdoor patio, which we also used for sitting and sipping some wine. There were horses, sheep, and goats in the pastures of surrounding homes. It was a beautiful rural setting. All was just as described and we would definitely stay there again when visiting Sedona.

The cabin in Camp Verde esceeded our expectations, and then some. We had a family of 9 people (if you include the baby who slept in a porta-crib) all fit into the cabin beautifully. The kids slept in the loft (3 of them) and there were bedrooms for three couples. There were plenty of towels for all and bedding and pillows. The kitchen was wonderful with lots of pots and pans, silverware, cooking utensils, etc. even a pantry to store all the stuff. We generally had breakfast in, picnic lunch on the trail and supper back at the cabin. Hiking was close by and Montezuma's Castle was great. We walked back to the river and our son-in-law who hiked at 6:00 A.M. saw a beaver there. The cabin in nicely decorated and spacious with a nice big table to seat a large family. We also used the firepit and toasted marshmallows for smores. It was a great family place to stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a casual, relaxed, clean place to bring a family with great activities nearby.

Four adults, five kids, and we all had a great time chilling out. Easy drive to Sedona. Super close to Montezuma's Castle. We had a blast--nice respite between Scottsdale and Grand Canyon.

Spent 4 days here with two friends and my two dogs. Great time. We especially enjoyed the fab kitchen which was wonderful since we cooked each evening and dined el fresco on the back deck. The house is well appointed, very comfortable and convenient to local venues. Well worth the money. Very dog friendly with a fenced yard and great porches. It is an easy drive to all the local attractions -- Montezuma Castle (highly recommend), Montezuma Well (fascinating), Jerome (great if you like galleries), Old Town Cottonwood (worth a stop for lunch), Just a Latte (in Camp Verde), and, of course, Sedona hiking.

The house is just as it is described, beautiful and spacious and just perfect for six people during this visit. All the ameneties were there making cooking very easy and pleasurable. The grill worked very well. We had such a good time visiting the area, seeing Sedona and hiking at Devil's Bridge. The drawbacks are two: the house is not set in the country as I imagined but in a neighborhood filled with trailers plus it is very close to the freeway (I-17), close enough to hear it all 24 hours of the day.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! It was the perfect "base" for sightseeing in Sedona, Jerome, Prescott, Cottonwood and the Grand Canyon. Coming back at the end of the day was definitely a treat: lovely furnishings, comfortable, inviting - awesome kitchen! Alex was super nice. I would highly recommend a stay here.

I rented this home for a family vacation and we loved it at first sight. The kitchen had a great set up for cooking family meals and the bedrooms and bathrooms were plentiful enough for everyone to use without too much sharing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing a place to stay in that area.

Alex, thanks for letting us stay at your cabin! We enjoyed our short stay, 2 nights, and wish that we had stayed here the entire time we were in Arizona. The cabin is easy to access from I 17, and Sedona is a short drive north with beautiful scenery along the way. The cabin has all the comforts of home and grocery stores and restaurants are a short drive away. Thanks again and look forward to visiting again

Faciility was comfortable and location was perfect! Issues with the water well on both days presented a problem, We did not have water to bathe, flush toilets, or wash dishes. Owner was contacted and people were sent out that same day to address problem. All 5 of us choose to take night showers in the event the same problem would occur. Luckily, we did because the next morning same thing happened, no water. We informed owner and left 2 hours earlier then expected. We think an adjustment to the total bill may be in order. Facility is absolutely beautiful, roomy, comfortable, and very clean, too bad water well had problems.

My extended family and I stayed at this property on a four-day getaway from the desert. From the moment we stepped in, it felt like a home away from home (only cleaner!). There was room for everyone to sleep and room for privacy from the daily grind around the house, as well. A perfectly designed home! The river was just a short walk out the back door and the neighbors were very friendly. We managed to cram all sorts of adventures into our four days. A few of us went kayaking down the Verde River one afternoon (we brought our own kayaks, though there are businesses that provide guided tours), where we met a personable blue heron who followed/led us on our adventure. He'd take a break when we did and start flying when we resumed paddling. It was pretty neat! Since Sedona is only a 30 minute drive from the cabin, we made a couple trips up there, to see the sunset over the beautiful red rocks and visit the many little shops. We highly recommend the Sedona Fudge Company - the owner was so generous and very friendly. More adventures included: visiting the Out of Africa Wildlife Park, which is just minutes from the property, in Camp Verde. What a fantastic day! This park offers a safari-like experience, riding in a window-less bus with a tour guide providing all of the interesting details about the animals, including the giraffes who leaned right into the bus so we could feed them and get licked in the face! My 78 year old grandmother, 14 year old daughter and 18 month old niece ALL thought this was the greatest! Where else can you please three very different generations?! The last place we stopped was Montezuma Castle National Park, also right there in Camp Verde. What a sight to see! We walked down a paved trail and learned about the culture of our ancestors. Though we obviously took advantage of the outdoor "touristy" amenities, we all met back at the cabin each evening for dinner and games. We used the grill each night and all the kitchen appliances were utilized - everything is provided! We had a campfire each night, in the back yard. We toasted smores and told camp fire stories. The beds were comfy and the deep whirlpool tub was very relaxing. I would recommend this cabin to people of all ages. The area allows for planning any kind of adventure or leisure you could dream of. Thank you to Alex for providing such a well maintained getaway home for my family!

This home was lovely and just the perfect place for our family to spend a week in the Sedona, AZ area. The home has a great location to easily access the interstate which made our day trips just that much easier. We climbed Bell Rock in Sedona, spent the day sightseeing and shopping in Sedona, visited Tuzigoot ruins, hiked the Grand Canyon, and even went to Vegas for a day. WHEW-- a whirlwind vacation. But, after every day this beautiful home was ready to welcome us back. Sedona is so beautiful and this home was a restful place to sit back and enjoy the evenings. The fire pit in the backyard was an added bonus-- we enjoyed hot dogs and smores one night :) I also want to say thank you to the owners. Their communication to us was the best we've ever experienced. They were very inviting and willing to meet our needs. We contacted them about the WiFi and they didn't seem put out or bothered. The blender was broken (which we didn't even notice) and they had a new one dropped off on the front porch early during the week. Excellent owners!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

The cabin was totally awesome, so spacious and clean. A great bonding place for families or friends. Our son who is 25 years old was like a kid again when he saw the backyard with the campfire area he wanted to roast marshmallows right away. We looked forward to going home to the Cabin after our tours and we even went fishing in the river. We highly recommend this vacation rental.

This cabin was awesome! Our family was looking to get away for a few days. We've stayed at other cabins in the past and this was the best! We loved the cows and the horses. The whole farm feel was so nice compared to what we are used to. Our dogs had the time of their lives running around the property and socializing with the neighbors dogs. The cabin had a huge kitchen which was great for family meals. The dining room was super spacious for everyone. We loved all the bathrooms! Montezumas castle was great and super close. Cant say enough. We will book it again for sure!

Great Family Place for our gathering of extended family. Nice large rooms and bathrooms for all to have a place of their own! We had babies to grandparents staying; so the room to spread out, cook family meals, and visit was appreciated by all! Beautiful design, Clean and Modern appliances, and Liveable furnishings were all perks to this home! Although you are 40 minutes to uptown Sedona (via 179), this was no big deal! You travel one of the most beautiful routes known in the country! You can get to golfing off of 179 within 20 minutes- so again, not a problem being in 'Camp Verde'! We also enjoyed the evening we spent at Cliff Castle Casino having dinner and bowling. (10 minutes from the home) We found the river at the back of the property- and if we had the time would definitely had gone fishing! The large back lots allow for space to play family kickball or just let the kids run around- you can't find that at a condo in Sedona proper! We will be looking forward to booking again for a longer stay! The Stanforth Clan

We stayed for only 2 nights at this cabin and it was a lovely change from sharing a hotel room with 2 children. There was lots of room to spread out and the boys loved having their own tv in the loft as well as their own room. The cabin is very nicely decorated with granite in the kitchen, tiled baths, and hardwood floors downstairs. The washer and dryer was very convenient. We ate all our meals in Sedona, so I did not use the beautiful kitchen except to chill some drinks in the fridge. The tempurpedic mattress was very comfortable. The owner was very pleasant to work with. Would recommend this cabin to a friend :)

We stayed at this cabin for 2 nights and my boys loved it. On our vacation we had been sharing a hotel room with 2 queens, so they really enjoyed having their own rooms and a tv all their own in the loft area. The cabin is beautifully decorated: granite in kitchen, tile bathrooms, hardwood floors. I loved the tempurpedic mattress. We did not cook or even do much outside of the house as we were in Sedona seeing the rocks and doing a tour and hiking our feet off :) so for us it was mostly a place to sleep and do some laundry and relax a bit and it served this purpose very well. The owner, Alex, was great to communicate with.

What a beautiful, cozy house! We opted to stay in Camp Verde to be away from the hustle of Sedona yet close enough to enjoy the beauty of the red rocks whenever we wanted--house is probably about 20-25 minutes from Sedona. Although the pictures are wonderful, they don't come close to doing this house justice! The house was as if it was directly out of an Ikea catalog. As soon as we walked through the front door, the aroma of pine swept over us from the lumber used to build the house. It was incredibly spacious and airy with sunshine pouring through the windows in any given room depending on time of day. Loved the farm-style kitchen and having coffee each morning while looking out the window. Alex got back to us very quickly whenever we had any questions. Thank you so much for everything...we will certainly try to book this house again upon our return to AZ.

I loved it cause I was able to bring my pets with me. It was very accessible to Sedona as well as Jerome. All restuarants I tried in the area were very good. With my youngest brother 34 in intense rehab 5 days a week after a recent stroke, my mother I wanted to get him, his wife and two young boys out of town, just to relax and enjoy a different scene from the rehab walls and Dr's office visits. Doing a last minute search to find something reasonably priced but still nice and something that would be available in a few days, I found this cabin. I have to be honest the pic's do not do it justice.(Maybe because I was looking at them on my cell phone!) We drove up to what I thought was going to be an older cabin.I was mistaken! When we entered the cabin, we were very happy with the appearence. Very clean and nicely decorated. To my immediate left was the kitchen. The first thing I said was "I have to cook here!" The kitchen was large and had everything I needed to make a nice breakfast the following morning. The high volted ceilings, loft, 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (one with a jacuzzi!) and patio with a grill were not bad either. We played games, watched movies, listened to music, grilled out went and enjoyed a few hours at the casino that is only about 5 minutes away and also visited Montezuma's Castle. This was still not enough for us. Our intensions were to only stay until Sunday, but we just had to see if it was available for just one more day and thankfully it was! We were able to watch the Super Bowl and have one more night playing games with my brother, who I have to say, since the stroke has not been his joking and laughing self, which is understandable after all he has been through. However, this is just what he needed!!! The laughs and jokes didnt stop coming, even the ones at my expense were worth it to see him so happy!! This place is AWESOME and I have already recomended it to several people, but there were conditions! I would only tell them where I found it if they invited me to go along! Can't wait to go back. I have a feeling we will be visiting this place regularly from here on out! :) One more thing....I cant leave out that the owner Alex, was very kind and always available when I called or emailed him for anything that I needed help with. This made our stay even more pleasant.

After hiking out of the bottom of the Grand Canyon and then stopping in Williams for pizza, we still had time to reach Alex's home in the evening and relax our weary joints that first night. The home is very spacious and clean. The layout lended itself well to our family of 7 to either gather or have some privacy. The bathrooms in each room were a real plus. We ended up taking day trips to Sedona, Jerome and Montezuma's Castle while we were there. Those destinations were all close enough that we could leisurely get up in the morning and still make it worthwhile to travel about for the afternoon. We did catch a meal at the casino (The Gallery) and found the meals delicious and reasonable. If we would've had more time, it felt like a place you could easily just hang out at. The weather was great while we were there with highs in the low 70's. What a nice break from our MN winter! We would definitely recommend Alex's home as a place to stay. We really can't say much about the back property because we didn't spend much time outdoors there. If you're not going any further than the deck, which was quite nice, I'd say you would be very satisfied staying here.

What a wondeful time we had this House is perfect!!!! We so much enjoyed our time out on the desk listening to the wind blow through the trees and watching the Horses. Pet Friendly our two little girls just had a wonderful time exploring their new scenery. The Upstairs Master Bedroom was a welcome after a fun filled day to relax in a beautiful Jacuzzi Tub. We spend alot of our time in the Kitchen at the Bar watching time go by through the many windows for our viewing pleasure. We hope to come back and enjoy this experience again and would highly recommend to our own Family and Friends. Thank you so much for the relaxation and the Memories. Sincerly, Arden DuBois

We had such a wonderful time the house was beautiful, clean and completely furnished. We spent much of our time out on the desk enjoying the great weather and listening to the wind blow through the tree's and watching the Horses. Bed's were very comfortable and the Jacuzzi tub in the Master Bedroom was a welcome to the end of the day. Sitting in the Kitchen at the Bar was another favorite spot with all of the windows you could just sit and watch time go by. We hope to be back here soon and would recommend this to Family and Friends as a great little piece of Hevan. Sincerly, Arden DuBois

We were not disappointed in Alex's Home. It was very comfortable, Clean, and Quiet. My husband and I stayed here in May for our 30th Anniversary, and we were very pleased with the place. Initially we were afraid to go this far from the main places of attraction, but it didn't seem long at all. The place is located just off the highway at the end of a Cul de Sac and it was very easy to get to. The beds were a bit hard and that was our only complaint but other than that this place had everything we could have asked for. We are used to staying with our whole family when we go on vacation so this was a little different. We didn't utilize all the rooms since it was just the two of us. Sedona and Cottonwood was only a few minutes away and didn't seem far at all. If your main destination is the beautiful Redrocks of Sedona this is the perfect place, as it is close enough to be easily traveled to but far enough from the "in town" crowd to not feel like our vacation was in the middle of a "city". If you stay here you simply MUST go on the Verde Canyon Railroad and then finish up the evening at the Blazin M Ranch. My husband and I agreed that it was one of the best days of our trip. Grand Canyon was wonderful and our Drive through SEDONA was absolutely beautiful. If going into the Grand Canyon and you can afford it, by all means we definitely recommend using a guided tour as you will get much more information and see much more than you would if you simply try to drive up there yourself. We used Angels Gate Tours and they were very knowledgable guides and even served us lunch! All in all we really recommend Alex's Beautiful Log Cabin for anyone contemplating a stay in this gorgeous State. And the next time we come, we will bring our family. Thanks Alex.

We were so amazed when we opened the door to this lovely log cabin home. What a perfect place for all of us to enjoy. Our group consisted of 5 best friends, and we had been to Laughlin, NV and visited my husband's sisters and my best friend in Goodyear, AZ. The home was so peaceful, very clean, and lots of space for all of us. The first day, we walked to the river, and on the way back, introduced ourselves to the pretty black horse at the neighboring fence. That evening, we visited the Cliff Castle Casino and ate at Johnny Rockets. The waiters all danced to a favorite 50's song. Very entertaining! The next day, we drove into Sedona on Hway 179. We loved the amazing beauty of the Red Rocks. We toured thru some of the shops in Sedona. We took Hway 89A west and ate at Cafe Jose. We had a delicious lunch. Then we turned on Hway 134, and stopped at the Page Springs Fish Hatchery. Rainbow trout are raised there to be released into the Verde River. It was a very interesting stop. The next day, we drove to Jerome, an old mining town. We toured the many wonderful shops, stopped and bought some yummy fudge, and ate lunch at Alice's Restaurant. We wanted to eat at the Haunted Hamburger, but the wait was too long. We drove on into Sedona, did some more shopping, and then stopped at the Chapel of the Holy Cross. It is such a spiritual wonder. Very pretty! That night, we ate the fish buffet at the Casino Gallery Restaurant. Some of our group were lucky enough to win some money. The next day, we traveled to the Grand Canyon. What an awesome sight! What a sensation at the first sight, so magnificent! We had a great lunch at the Arizona Room. It was such a nice, sunny day. Our last night at the cabin was spent around a warm fire in the back yard, and some delicious s'mores. Sunday morning, we attended mass at the St. Frances Cabrini Catholic church in Camp Verde. Such a cute little church! One very big disappointment, 4 nights was just not long enough to stay in this lovely cabin. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen and dining area were great. We loved the nice big dining table, where we could sit and visit about all the wonderful times we had that day. We hope to return some day....but for much longer than 4 nights. We were very sad to leave this great, very clean and charming log cabin. The weather was great too. We will treasure our stay and all the fantastic memories we made. Thanks Alex, for sharing your beautiful home.

The cabin home was wonderful and accommodated the 7 of us very comfortably! The home was very clean and spacious. The large kitchen was fully stocked with all of the "extras". We loved the back patio area with the gas grill and fire pit and we even picked up pecans from the pecan tree in the backyard. It was just a short walk to the Verde River through the back property. The home is conveniently located near I-17 and a short 25 minute drive to Sedona (north) or Cottonwood (northwest). We all (teenagers to grandparents) highly recommend this lovely rental. Hope to come back again!

We were really questioning our decision to stay 20 minutes south of Sedona in Camp Verde (where this cabin is located). Even after we booked it we were debating whether we made the right decision. Our whole family loved it (kids included)! It is on a peaceful piece of property about 25 minutes south of Sedona. It never felt like a 25 minute drive. We are from Minnesota and the natural beauty of the drive quickened it. The owners present a very new, clean and exceptional home. The pictures don't really even do it justice. We use vacation rental sites approximately 2 x's a year and hands down all five of us agreed that this is the best. As far as recommened activities go...we definitely suggest the Pink Jeep tour. I have not spent that much money on a tourist attraction before and felt like it was worth it. The hiking is amazing! Our kids like the Bell Rock and Cathedral. We heard that Elote was a great restaraunt. They don't take reservations. By the time we got there the wait was 2 hours. We did not end up waiting. But I recommend gettting there right at 5pm and be the first in line.
