Our Old Orchard beach house is only 75 steps to seven miles of spacious beach. Enjoy cooking out and sunbathing on the spacious roof deck with fantastic views of the Ocean.
The Old Orchard Beach Pier is only 3/4 mile away and an easy walk. If you get tired and can't walk back, just hop on the Old Orchard Beach Trolley, ($1.00) and ride back to the house. The Trolley stop is in front of the cottage. Local shopping, amusements and Thursday night fireworks provide fun and entertainment for all ages. Choose lobster in the rough at any of the many restaurants. Explore Maine's lighthouses, antique shops, rocky coastline, or secluded harbors or rent a canoe and bird watch through the marshes at Pine Point.
Portland, Maine's largest city, is only 20 minutes away. Portland's 'Old Port' has been converted into a shopping and dining district. North of Portland is Freeport, the home of L. L. Bean and outlet shopping. Attend Sea Dogs baseball game or visit the Scarborough Downs horse racing.

We had a lovely time on our Maine vacation. The cottage is very comfortable and I felt like I was in my own home. Excellent location to the beach and the grassy backyard gave the kids someplace to play after the beach. Location for visiting Kennebunkport and Portland is great. Loved the roof top deck!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This cottage is extrodinary! It's unique and yet very comfortable and practical. It is well furnished and has an wonderful view from the roof which is relaxing and inspiring. It is very clean and well kept. I loved my time there. It has easy access to the beach and is easy to find with parking. I would recommend it to anyone and am hoping to go again and spend time there.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My wife and I had the privilege of staying at this beach house less than two years ago in September of 2009. We were just engaged at the time but what a romantic time we had here. The bedrooms on the ground floor are tastefully done in nautical old-world charm. Both bedrooms were elegant and comfortable but felt like a step back in time to the early 1900s. We were blown away by the modern convenience appointed living/cooking area. I was astounded at the luxury afforded by such a pleasantly open area with creature comforts for my gadget enjoyment as well as her need for quiet space. We were able to cook in the fully ready kitchen or out on the roof-top patio. The views of the beach are spectacular. The beach itself was so peaceful that two romantics like my wife [fiance at the time] and I couldn't help but write love notes to each other in the sand. This extra long beach is distinctive for feeling like its almost your own private strip of paradise. This is a place we will no doubt want to revisit every year if possible. This cottage is beautifully decorated with a loving touch that makes you comfortable and at home the minute you walk in! The location is perfectly accessible to everything. Modern kitchen provides everything you need as well as the great grill on the roof deck. No matter what you choose to do, walk the beach, walk to town or lounge on the roof deck, you will love staying in this cottage...I cannot wait to go back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

I felt the warmth and inviting atmosphere the minute I walked through the door. The living area is cozy for a couple or several guest. The decor is first rate, clean, attractive, and comfortable. I would recommend this place highly.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
