Property extends ocean to sound with 2 deep water boat docks on sound-side plus large additional parking area. Watch the sun rise over the ocean from the swing on our covered porch. Take a walk on the broad sandy beach or bike down the trail to the neighborhood coffee shop/book store for the morning papers. Spread your towel on the sundeck or down on the beach while watching the kids play in the surf. Collect your pot full of crabs from the soundside boat dock and spread a picnic lunch on the porch.
Later, let the kids play ping-pong while you enjoy watching the sun set from our soundside deck with an eye on the fish sizzling on the grill. Putt-Putt, anyone ? After dinner take the family 1.5 miles S to the little town of Topsail Beach for putt-putt and an ice cream sundae at the 1950's counter of the old 'Beach Shop'.
Tommorrow- maybe fishing or golfing for Dad or a family trip to historic Wilmington for a carriage tour and trip to the Battleship N.C.'s sound and light spectacular.
Want to see nature up close? Take a guided canoe tour of the wetlands and see egrets, ospreys, and where baby crabs, shrimp, and clams are born.
Rainy day or hot afternoon? No problem, the Quarter Moon Bookstore awaits your exploration. Have a fruit smoothie or iced coffee , check the superb selection of kid's books and coastal histories of pirates and ghosts, or use their WiFi connection.
No boat? No problem. Both boat/jet ski rentals and boat tours are available. Sunset cruises are a great way to end the day. Want more adventure? Try deep-sea fishing charters and bring your catch home for supper!
Just want to chill? No problem. An umbrella, a beach chair, and a book on a beautiful quiet beach will help you re-charge your batteries for another day of fun tomorrow.

Bedroom/bath setups: Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms- two on each side of the house with a bathroom between. Each bath opens to a hall connecting the bedrooms for greater privacy and has an outside door so sandy folks can clean up before coming into living areas. Oceanfront bedrooms each have a queen bed while soundview bedrooms each have a pair of twin beds.
Downstairs, there are 3 bedrooms + 1.5 baths. One bedroom has a queen bed and half-bath while the 2 bedrooms each have a pair of twin beds and share a full bath. Also downstairs are a laundry room, extra refrigerator, and full playroom with sleeper sofa, TV/DVD, and ping-pong table.
The middle section of the house upstairs contains a large, well-equiped modern kitchen with breakfast table and counter/chairs open to the large family room with sofas, free standing bar, TV/DVD . This area opens to the oceanside porch on one side and the soundside deck on the other side for excellent views of each.

We rode down to the house from Rhode Island to Top Sail Beach. LONG ride but boy was it worth it. The house was well equipped, the beach was beautiful, the sound side for fishing was a bonus. You will enjoy pelicans, dolphins, constant beach noises, just lovely. The owner was very nice to deal with. All in all we would go back there in a minute. In fact I wish I was there now! --Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
