Come visit beautiful Lake Gaston...It is located in northern NC & southern VA with 350 miles of shoreline and the main lake is 35 miles long.
Our wonderful, three-story A-frame is located on the water in a large cove less than one-fourth mile from the main lake.
This spacious home includes two master bedrooms, each with king-size beds on the upper floor and a large bathroom between. The front master also has a double size futon. The main level includes a well-equipped kitchen and dining area with lake views. The huge great room is perfect for two families and includes a fireplace, game table, TV, VCR, and stereo. Two additional bedrooms, one with two sets of bunk beds(4 singles) and the other with a single trundle bed, the second full bath and laundry room are also on the main level. The lower level is equipped with a foosball table, TV,VCR & DVD, games, and queen size sofa bed. (Please provide your own towels and linens)
Outside, the upper deck is equipped with picnic tables and plenty of seating when grilling out on the gas grill while viewing the wide open view of the lake. The outdoor fire pit is perfect for family marshmallow roasting and story telling. The boathouse includes an upper sundeck, large main deck, and two steps into the water. There is tie up space for a boat on the front of the dock and left side. A jet ski lift is also available. A neighborhood launch is only one block away. The water depth at the end of the dock is about 14 feet.

My family decided to do a lake vacation this year instead of the beach and this was a fantastic house for that! We had 6 adults and 3 kids (2 6 yr olds and a 9 year old) staying and everyone had a blast. The pics on the website are an accurate representation of the house, and the owner was fantastic to deal with! Here were our list of pros and cons: Pros: The dock - as far as the kids were concerned, jumping from the top deck was the best part of the vacation!! There's lots of room for everyone to sit in the sun, jump off the top and even fish at the same time! Location - the house is close to anything you'll need, and the cove that the dock sits in is perfect for the kids to play in Comfy beds - everyone commented on how well they slept The basement room - fantastic for the kids to play in! They loved the foosball table! Wi-Fi - although it can be a weak signal, my father and brother wouldn't have known what to do without internet for a week! Cons Kitchen is pretty small, so cooking for big groups can be tight. However, it is really well stocked. TV in the basement is pretty old...it would be nice to have one that allowed for a game console hookup for the kids All in all it was a great week and we're looking forward to coming back!

We have rented several houses at Lake Gaston over the last few years. This was by far the overall best. Everyone in our family commented on how comfortable the beds are. I had never slept on a trundle bed before, (we made it into the king bed) but it was very comfortable. The kitchen is a little small but very well stocked and we cooked out on the grill most every night so all we really did is prep in the kitchen. We didn't really find it to be any inconvenience. The dock is wonderful for just sitting, sunning or watching the stars at night. The view is just awesome. During the week we had the creek mostly to ourselves for skiing, knee boarding or just floating around. We met a couple of the neighbors and they were very friendly. In fact, one down the cove took us up on our offer to pull them around on one of our floats and they enjoyed it. Close to Food Lion, a couple of restaurants and gas. Photos and listing info accurate. Owner was a joy to work with and answered all my questions. Very relaxing, great area and just an all around wonderful vacation. We hope to return around the same time again next year . We highly recommend this property to couples as well as families with children. Thank you Kathy and family for sharing your lake home with us.

For the past three years we have looked forward to spending our Lake Gaston vacation at Lizard Creek Retreat. The view is wonderful, the dock is perfect, and there is so much room for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. The kitchen is fully equipped which makes it easy to serve many meals to your family and friends while enjoying the lake. The owners are very helpful in answering questions or concerns, and go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is in search of a relaxing vacation at Lake Gaston.

We had a wonderful week at the Lizard Creek rental house at Lake Gaston. The location was perfect! The water was amazing and we took full advantage of the beautiful decks which the house provides. The outside fire pit was a huge hit with all of the kids and of course what adults don't love sitting by the campfire, making smores after a long relaxing day on the water. The house had every kitchen ammenities that could be asked for,except it was small but the rest of the living space was perfect for a large group. The house owners were wonderful to deal with and we had no issues. I would recommend this rental to anyone who wants to enjoy a wonderful week at Lake Gaston!

Our home is perfect for 2 good size families and the wide open family room is fantastic. Our neighborhood launch and easy access to shopping is another advantage.
