Wonderful Scrapbooking Weekend

Seven of my friends and I spent 4 days here for a girfriends getaway/scrapbooking weekend. I saw the home online and was so anxious to get to stay here....we were definitely not disappointed! The home is beautiful and huge. There was plenty of room throughout the house and in the living/scrapbooking room. Each person got their own 8' long table to scrapbook on and plenty of room to surround themselves with their scrapbooking supplies. Each table had its own table light as well. When we told the owners (Michael & Colleen) that we liked to watch movies while we scrapped and we were concerned that the existing TV may be to small for everyone to see, Michael went out and bought a brand new, 46" HD TV for the scrapbook room. WOW! We certainly didn't expect that but thought it was such a nice thing for him to do. THAT is great service. The beautiful, roomy kitchen located right off of the scrapbooking room was so nice and convenient. We also loved the large counter between the two that we could place snacks for the weekend. Although, I think it was a little to convenient because it was to easy to grab a snack every time you walked by it...I definitely DIDN'T lose any weight this weekend. HAHA We LOVED the the wi fi was easy to get onto with our laptops and the house computer and that the very nice color printer worked so well. We have been to so many places that have had problems with that so it was nice to have ones that worked smoothly throughout the weekend. The beds were very comfortable and located far enough off of the scrapbooking room that those who went to bed earliest could still sleep without noise distractions. The downstairs rec room was awesome, although we didn't use it because we were there to scrapbook. I could definitely see bringing my family here for a summer vacation. It would be absolutely perfect. Again, the place was one of the top retreats we have stayed at and we will definitely be back. I almost hate telling people about it because I don't want it to become so popular that we can't get in it anymore. HAHA The only downfall I could say about it is that it only has parking for 6 cars. Usually, every scrapbooker drives separately because we have so much stuff to bring so that means 8 cars. It isn't a huge deal, we just have to plan for only 6 cars in the future. Diane (the property manager) was so helpful though that she offered to let us park one of our cars at her house if we had to many...another WOW!

This is the most amazing house we have ever stayed at for scrapbooking. The house is so big and gorgeous and it overlooks the lake, it was so peaceful for 8 of us to enjoy scrapbooking together. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms decor were super cute. This is definitely worth the money to get away with friends or family and either scrapbook or just hang out. The owners were wonderful on communicating if you had any problems or needed to call them. THANK YOU for sharing your lake home. We definitely are looking forward to coming again.

Best Family Vacation Ever!!!

Our family had the pleasure of staying at this vacation property in August of 2011. We thoroughly enjoyed the home and it's incredible lake view and the surrounding quaint towns. We made use of the huge deck for our morning coffee and would watched the sun come up on the lake. We had some good and bad weather while were there but on the bad days we went antiquing or shopping in Minneapolis and on the good days we spent our time on the dock catching fish... or reading a book on the deck...or sleeping in the hammock on the lawn. The house itself wanted for nothing! We could not have been more pleased with how beautiful the furniture or expansive the property was. We were never without something to do and everyone had their favourite place in the house. Our 17 year old took the entire loft area as her own and was in heaven with the space and the views overlooking the house and out to the lake. Our 8 and 10 year old took turns having sleep overs in each other's rooms on the main floor! They had their own bathroom which made them feel very spoiled! We all enjoyed the amazing kitchen and cooked most of our meals at the house. We had the best steak dinner cooked on the gas grill on the deck! The master bedroom on the lower level provided serenity and peaceful quite and the perfect place to fall down at the end of the day. The only thing that might have made that room better would have been a tv to fall asleep to...but definitely not a necessity. We ran into car troubles on the last day of our vacation and had to make arrangements to stay in the area for an extra day...Michael was extremely accommodating and couldn't do enough to help us out! Diane and Michael were the best hosts I have ever encountered and were very easy to reach and extremely eager to assist with any of our needs. We would go back to this property in a heart beat and we look forward to renting from Michael and Colleen again! We highly recommend this property to anyone wanting an executive retreat at a very reasonable rate.

Seven friends and I spent a weekend here for scrapbooking and relaxing. There was plenty of room to leave our scrapping tables and supplies up while we did other things. The rooms are spacious and very well-kept. We had more space than we needed! The four full bathrooms made showering and getting ready a breeze, unlike other retreats I've been on where we had to wait our turn. The kitchen was super and had all the things we needed. We didn't venture out to the lake as it was the coldest weekend of the winter, but it looked beautiful. A very peaceful and relaxing place to stay! We hope to be back next year!

My experience with the owners and property manger was wonderful from start to finish. I was able to get a hold of them easily before my stay, during my stay (I had a question about the stereo) and after my stay. I was personally contacted by the property manager after the weekend to make sure that my group enjoyed our stay (which we did!). The home was spacious, very clean and nicely furnished. The 8 ft scrapbooking tables were great and each table had an Ottlite as well as VERY comfortable chairs. The Cricut was a nice feature to have with lots of cartridges. We scrapbooked in the living room which has big windows looking out on to the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with all that we needed to prepare meals. The multi-zone heating was a nice feature in the bedrooms. This was a wonderful place to come to for scrapbooking. I highly recommend it!

Thank you for sharing your home with our family. It was a beautiful week to enjoy by the lake and the home was everything and much more than we expected. We played board games, watched movies, went fishing, tubing on the lake and many moments spending quality time with our children. Thank you!
