This property is first class in every respect. We rented the house for the month of Feb which turned out to be a cold month for Tucson. As a result we were not able to do our normal outdoor activities a lot of the time. With this house not a problem as the property itself was a great destination resort. The art work in the house was delightful and made for a great extra touch. The house comes with a caretaker in close proximity who was totally non-intrusive but very helpful several times. All in all a great experience.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I celebrated the New Years at this wonderful home. The owner was so kind to welcome our golden retriever, who we knew would be a perfect gentleman. This is a high end home, so welcoming our dog was even more appreciated. Mike was so responsive to all of our requests and seems to care very much about the experiences of his guests. The art collection in the home is incredible and we would notice new details every time we strolled around. We really enjoyed the easy access to the wash right by the house which allowed for great and peaceful hiking. There are a few suggestions that I gave to Mike which would enhance the beauty of this home, but none of these in any way affected our enjoyment of the home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: These were fabulous high-end guests who really appreciated what 5600 has to offer and we look forward to their returning to 5600.

We rented this property to host a pre-holiday catered dinner for 80 guests. The home and grounds are gorgeous and provided a stunning setting. They were very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We had 4 couples staying in the house in mid-August and it was everything as advertised and more. The artwork in the house is stunning and all the amenities lived up to those seen in the photos and videos of the house and grounds on VRBO and the property's website. The on-site property manager was extremely responsive when we had questions or issues. Hopefully the property will be available for any future trip to Tucson that we make.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We were greeted by Zach, who was always responsive, showed us around this extensive estate. Then we entered the home itself and were happy to see it's size and that is was even far more luxurious than the photos depicted. We were wowed from the very minute we stepped into the home. The property is well appointed with satellite, wireless internet, flat screen TV's. It's a great layout with a kitchen that look out into the extensive gardens – gorgeous kitchen, with every conceivable appliance, and amazing to work in. The outside patios are enormous with a large table to eat at, and multiple large sitting areas to relax at. My wife and I often sat outside enjoying the sound of the birds signing in the trees and reading a remarkable library of books the owner has on the property. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows very soft! Some evenings when we stayed home, and sometimes we visited the multiple up-scale restaurants, most all of which were within a 5-minute drive of the property. The location is fantastic. It's a quick walk from the main house down to the gym, and from there down a trail into a wash and beautiful desert area, where we could walk amongst the trees and desert fauna for hours – unbelievable. This was the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever had. Amidst the beautiful gardens, unbelievable Spa – never seen anything like it at all, especially in someone’s home, better than most commercial spas, we were thoroughly pleased and would recommend this estate to anyone who really wants to enjoy the desert in the most luxurious, comfortable, and beautiful surroundings.. We will be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

We are a professional family who are well traveled. We selected this location due to the number of family members we were preparing to entertain for mother in laws 80th birthday. The Location is extremely serene and private, boasting views the mountains and city. The house and grounds were large enough that we could take our pick of entertaining indoors or outdoors. Due to the number of little kids we had and the wonderful outdoor breeze, we decided to entertain on the covered terrace. The adults had comfortable outdoor sofa lounge seating and enjoyed watching the children play in the pool and on the lawn. The house was comfortable. We are very selective regarding the type of beds and linens we sleep on and this vacation rental exceeded our expectations. Premium mattresses and High thread count linens for a great nights rest. Plenty of refrigerator space for catering parties and very well stocked with basic necessities. Only thing missing is a well equipped working gym. We will definitely return again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This property was fantastic. Very large and spacious but comfortable and homey at the same time. We had 2 celebrations at this property and never felt a lack of space. The master suite was incredibly large with a steam/shower with a beautiful view. We spent most of our time out on the covered patio that had a view of Tucson, WOW!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Great Family, group place to meetRecommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Although this guest was shown how to use the Steam Room, inside pool, and the jacuzzi in the Spa, she apparently could not figure the controls out on her own, so the inside pool, jacuzzi, and steam room were not hot until we were notified by the guest and showed her a 2nd time how to operate the controls, at which point everything was working just fine. We do not heat up the inside pool or jacuzzi, nor turn on the steam room, until the guest arrives on-site......

Our two generation family (from 1-12 yr to 60 yr) vacation was wonderful! From the moment we arrived and the gate swung shut, we felt like we had a world of our own. Our grandchildren told us "the hotel" was perfect! The estate had everything we needed-plenty of space to gather, yet scattered patios for private time (3 different areas around the pool & each bedroom had a private patio). The supplies in the kitchen were excellent & we enjoyed meals both on the patio & in the dining area. The furnishings were comfortable, the linens & towels were luxurious. And, yet, we were close to shopping areas; convenient & easy to get around. The only drawback was that we felt so comfortable here that we opted to stay in & enjoy the view rather than go out! We would definitely recommend this home to anyone.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We can’t thank you enough for the opportunity to thoroughly enjoy this magnificent estate. The weather in Seattle has been particularly brutal during these last two “la Nina” winters and the comfort of 5600 and Tucson’s nurturing sunlight and warmth was a healing experience for both body and mind. We took full advantage of the pool and steam bath to sooth our aching muscles from a self imposed rigorous training schedule that we established at a LA Fitness Center located conveniently nearby. Seven days a week, we put in our 3 miles on the treadmill at 7:00am and then pumped iron every other day. We would then come home to the convenience of 5600’s well laid out kitchen and enjoy our breakfast poolside. After breakfast a good book to read while lounging in the shade of a Palo Verde near one of the terraces was the order of the day. I have to admit that some of the most relaxing sleep I’ve had in years took place while staying at 5600. Later in the day, if we weren’t visiting one of 5600’s botanical gardens, we would choose a different destination for our desert hike. With many destinations to choose from we were never disappointed with the results. Mike, we came to Tucson for sunlight, heat, exercise, much needed rest, and an opportunity to explore the beauty of your magnificent desert with all it’s floral displays and fascinating wildlife. Your lovely estate afforded us all that we could have hoped for as a great base of operations. We cannot thank you enough.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We were in Tucson on business for 2 weeks, and 5600 was our oasis of comfort and relaxation during an otherwise exhausting trip. The house was cozy and comfortable for being so large, and also gave us plenty of space for everything we needed. We felt safe and secure with the gate, and really enjoyed the pool, even in the winter. The swim out access from the master bath was phenomenal! The kitchen was well appointed with everything you would need and more, and the amenities of the master bedroom suite were the height of luxury. The sunsets and sunrise were breathtaking from this house. We were also amazed at how handy this location turned out to be, with roads that took us quickly and directly to wherever we needed to go around town, it was far more convenient than we originally anticipated. There are many restaurants around, Trader Joe's nearby, and a fantastic farmer's market right across from Trader Joe's on Sundays. We were really in heaven and would return there in a heartbeat.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

I am not usually one to write reviews, but this is one I couldn't resist. The home is absolutely incredible. We never imagined you could rent a home like this one! Unbelievable comfort, luxuries amenities, perfect ambiance and your own private spa! It is beautifully spacious and gorgeously decorated, additionally, the outdoor living and grounds are spectacular! I would stay at this house again in a heartbeat and would also recommend staying here to anyone without reservation.”Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We travel all over the world, and usually stay at Loews Ventana Resort in Tucson. Our family just spent 7 days in the most elegant, private, relaxing, and breathtaking place we’ve ever visited in Arizona, for that matter anywhere! We’ve been to Arizona numerous times and have always enjoyed it but this estate is truly in a class of its own! Unfortunately, the photos and description of the estate don’t even come close to conveying how all around spectacular it is– design quality, art, furnishings, comfort, privacy, space, and convenience. Every detail has been dealt with spectacularly – luxurious bedding, plush towels, an amazing kitchen, beautiful décor and astounding art. The Spa, off the Master Suite, accessible from the pool patio as well, had a steam room large enough accommodate all 8 of us, with plenty of room to spare. We needed the golf cart to get to the Exercise Gym – the property is immense. Leaving this estate was a bit sad - we’ve just never been in a place like this. I could easily have spent the entire day just in the Spa room; and another week lounging by the pool, being able to enjoy a leisurely meal in any one of 9 separate dinning areas, or relaxing with espresso is the best! The convenience of a gourmet-caliber kitchen was a great surprise. This is definitely not the kind of situation anyone who considers renting an estate could imagine because it’s over the top! My one regret: not having been able to stay at least 2 weeks! I’ve never been to any hotel or villa that compares - I’d go back in a second but I would definitely stay longer!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
