This is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment (1,000 sq. ft.) in a modest pre-war building on the Upper West Side in Manhattan (a wonderful, convenient, safe, desirable neighborhood). Custom design, oak floors and oak paneling. Sunny, with three exposures (West, South, East). -- And 13 windows!
There is a separate eat-in kitchen (can seat 6 at the dining table) and a washer and dryer. There is a queen bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the second room, plus a pull-out full-sized sofa bed in the living room that can sleep two. There is a central bath with tub/shower and a private master bath with a shower.
Our family lives here for part of the year so there will be some items in closets (but room for your things) and it will be fully stocked with supplies and linens and includes all utilities, including internet & cable TV (with HBO.) There is a flight of stairs to walk up to this second-floor apartment.
The New York Times is delivered daily, so you will not need to leave home to enjoy the newspaper at breakfast every morning!
This two bedroom apartment is warm, inviting and very comfortable. We stayed 7 nights/8days and felt like we were home and not visitors in the city. The owners were very helpful and friendly before our arrival, during the stay and after. We loved the location, it was quiet and conveniently located to shops, restaurants, subway, the river and the park which was great for walking our small dog. The apartment is well-maintained and had everything we needed from a washer and dryer to salt and pepper. The apartment also has three air conditioning units (both bedrooms and the living room) which created a very cool and comfortable environment all week. The beds were very comfortable - we all slept very great. The kitchen/dinning area and the living room had plenty of room for the three of us and if needed a few more. It was also a treat to have two full bathrooms. TV in the living room and master bedroom, the wireless reception was good, big comfortable furniture and a beautiful piano. A great value. I tell everyone in our area about this apartment and they always ask me if we would rent this place again, my answer is YES! You can be sure that once I know our daughter's Rockette dance camp week for next summer, I will be on line booking this place.

About the owner: We have lived in New York for many years and the city still thrills us. We are happy to share our favorite city with others and can make suggestions for outings or activities that might suit your interests.
Why the Owner Chose Upper West Side: We wanted to raise our children in a real neighborhood within Manhattan, and we found the Upper West Side to be the perfect combination of a residential environment with parks and local stores and also accessibility to the excitement of the city.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment: We enjoy having two full bathrooms and a washer/dryer in the apartment. And we have a separate eat-in kitchen large enough to sit 6 (or 8 with the table extension) at the table. There is custom woodworking that makes the apartment more warm and 'homey' than most city apartments. Also, both local and express subways stop at our local station, so you can get anywhere in the city very quickly. And as a special bonus: Free daily delivery of the New York Times! These benefits give a certain ease and convenience to staying here.
