It has two formal rooms , three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and peaceful backyard. Beautiful, homey apartment in a really lively and fun neighborhood - convenient to all transportation, parks, restaurants, etc. Great for family - Two separate bedrooms and living room / parlor with pocket doors and sleeper couch which essentially made for third bedroom. Highly recommend.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

This was perfect for our family. Exactly as pictured and described both by the owner and reviewers. Spotlessly clean, large, thoughtfully stocked, and everything in perfect working order. Very comfortable beds. So much better than squeezing 2 adults and 2 teenagers into a hotel room. Great owner to work with. The location could not be better, right around the corner from the grocery store and public transportation. We flew into OAK, and it was a $70 cab fare to the apartment; however, you can take an airport shuttle to the BART, BART to Embarcadero, and Muni underground to the Church Street station. In fact, a vacationer's first stop should be to get a visitor Muni pass and take advantage of the unlimited rides on the subway, historic F streetcar, and buses (which all stop around the corner) and forgo the rental car if possible. The Google Maps app will tell you exactly where and when to find the next public transportation from your current location to your destination. We easily went to AT&T Park, the Civic Center, and all the tourist destinations in the city. It was seamless. In fact, one of the best views of SF was from the 37 bus from Golden Gate Park, through Twin Peaks, and down to Castro. We did use a car for two days and had no problem parking after 8:00PM (sometimes several streets over) and moving it by 10:00AM the next day. The front bedroom does tend to be noisy with the fire station and street traffic, but we were so exhausted that it didn't bother us. Like another reviewer noted, this is an urban environment. If you are looking for double-paned windows and hotel quiet, this may not be the place for you. But we would whole-heartedly recommend it to any friends or family who want a lovely and spacious vacation home without paying the outrageous hotel prices.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

This place was great, clean, excellent location, easy to train, BART and parks, sightseeing, groceries, and good restaurants. The noise was your basic city noise, parking was as you'd expect in SF. But we always found some within the block. Met a nice neighbor and plenty of folks out and about. Be prepared, as it IS SF, there may be sights you'll have to explain to young people, or newcomers to the 'alternative lifestyle' scene. All four of us had a great time.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was my first experience with VRBO and I was not disappointed. The first thing I noticed upon entering the second floor apartment was that it was extremely clean. Two bedrooms with a pull out couch that comfortably slept 6 people. Parking on the street was available (please be cautious regarding street sweeping times). Public transportation is nearby with plenty of side walk cafes in the neighborhood. Owners were extremely gracious hosts and provided information regarding some of their neighborhood eateries. We didn't spend a lot of time at the home because we were busy enjoying the San Francisco Bay area. The neighborhood was a short ride to many of the major attractions in San Franscisco.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

First the good stuff. The property was accurately described in the listing and the photographs were spot on. The apartment is in good shape and the period furnishings definitely do it justice. Good beds, clean and Jamie was an excellent host. His suggested itinerary for San Fran first timers was extremely helpful. We were impressed with the apartment and the central location was nice too. Close to everything but not in the middle of tourist-land. There is a fire station almost directly across the street and they got called out at least twice a night while we stayed there. I looked at the sat pic before we went so I knew it was there but the sirens still woke some of us up. Biggest complaint is parking. We had a rental car that we used for the first leg of our trip and couldn't return it early. The 2 hour parking regulation for cars without permits is ridiculous. I realize it's purpose but it certainly made things difficult. I'd recommend this property to anyone looking for a central San Fran location but only if they do not have a car to worry about and can then focus on using the abundant mass transit options to get around the city. I'm giving the property and the owners a 5 star rating because they derserve it. Wonderful hosts and a nice apartment.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We arrived at the apt late in the evening, got super lucky and found parking on the same street across from apt (I had heard from friends that parking in the area was horrible), found the lock box on gate as instructed in our email, got the keys and got easily, walked up the stairs into a beautiful old Victorian home. The home is gorgeous, the decor, furniture was beautiful as it stated in the listing. The kitchen was fully loaded, even though we didn't cook, if we had everything we needed would've been available. It was close to everything, Castro Street, Mission Street, bars, restaurants, stores, banks you name it most within walking distance. The beds were very comfortable as was the pull out couch. Our only complaint is that it was freezing when we arrived and there was only one space heater for use and not enough blankets. We had to take a thin blanket from one room and use it in the living room on the pull out bed. There were no instructions on how to use the fireplace so we weren't able to turn it on to help warm the house. Other than that one minor thing the house itself was beautiful, accommodating and we would return and rent again in a heart beat. Thanks for your hospitality and we will keep your place in mind for future SF stays.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

I had the pleasure of staying at Jamie and Ann's SF apartment last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It is very large 2 bedroom, but the tv room can be closed off so it's really a 3 bedroom. Spacious full kitchen with washer/dryer in the back, and an huge dinning room with table where we sat and and ate most of our meals. Amazing Location: Right off Market with tons of restaurants/shops to walk to in the mission or castro. Walking distance to Safeway for all your grocery needs. Tons of public transportation options just a few steps away. We had an issue in the apartment and the owners responded right away and took care of the problem ASAP. I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone looking to spend time in SF. Definitely a superior option to overpriced hotels in SF. Jamie and Ann, I look forward to renting your apartment again!! Thank you for everything :)Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
