The house was all that we were looking for and more. The kids lived in the pool. We loved how a section of the pool was covered providing shade on the hotter days and house provided protection from the wind so that even on the windiest days there wasn't even a ripple on the water. The house itself was very nice and the layout was great. Everything was very clean and when minor issued happened the property manager was very quick to show up and fix it. The owner was very kind and easy to work with and was quick to respond back and answer the dumbest questions. The bikes were very nice to have access to, I wish I had brought my tools so I could tune them up as a thank you. I would most definitely come back and stay here again. All three generations had a wonderful time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: So glad you enjoyed your respite in the sunshine and we could accommodate all three generations! The shaded area of the pool is especially nice for the little ones. Glad you made use of the bikes and thanks for the tip - a tune-up will be forthcoming.

This is our second time staying in the lovely Miraleste home. We loved it so much last year that we returned again this year. We have 3 children and this is a perfect home for families. It's nice enough that you feel like you're treating yourself, but not so filled with breakable items that you're in a panic all the time. The pool and hot tub are fantastic. With the heated pool, the kids swam morning, noon, and night. Carol is so easy to work with and is always available to answer your questions. I highly recommend this wonderful home.Recommended for: Families with young children
Owner response: Happy you could stay with us again! And less uneventful for you than last year ;-) With parks nearby and the heated pool. I must say, I even have a hard time pulling myself away to explore all the the Valley has to offer for families. Hope to see you next year!

Our family really loves relaxing, grilling, swimming & exploring in and around Palm Springs. Carol's place is fantastic for this. The house is ideal for a family and we look forward to our return. This modern house is comfortable & beautiful, and it has all conveniences one would expect and more that travelers would appreciate. I cannot say enough good things about this home, the location, and the ease with which it was communicating with the owners regarding our stay. Very special.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you Carol and Rich for sharing your gorgeous home with us. Everything was taken care of including DVDs, board games, bikes in the garage, and even pool toys! The house was extremely roomy and was very well decorated. We would have even had a great time if we decided to stay in all weekend. We can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We were very lucky to call this place home for a month last August. I miss my coffee in the morning sun under the tree in the rocking chair! A very nice house, tastefully decorated and stocked with so much eye for detail. Beautiful quiet street and convenient location. Beds, sofa's, outdoor lounge-set all very high quality and comfortable. All the basics like detergent, tissues, condiments are there and refilled when neccesary. Especially the garden and porch area are a large plus compared to other properties. It provides ample shade when the sun gets too much for you. We can recommend this property to anyone and owner Carol and caretaker Steward are doing a great job and are very pleasant to communicate with. We have rented houses in Florida the past 9 years, but California and this house will make us come back next year! Dick & Pablo AmsterdamDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This house and property has it all! Everything and more. We have rented some houses throughout the years and this house is by far the best. When we cooked we had everything we needed and I think that is the first time ever. Carol was so nice and helpful all the time and the housekeeper was also more than helpful and nice when he came by one day. Everything is well taken care of and the bedrooms, bathrooms and living room is so nicely decorated - done with care! We loved spending time there and enjoyed the sunrise and sunset on the sunbeds by the pool! And not forget the bbq! Just great!! If I must say one negative thing it must be that the pool has some cracks in it and that it is somewhat dirty (greasy) just above waterlevel in the pool. But all in all a super week for our family and we would love to come back and will recommend it to everyone who are thinking of staying in Palm Springs!! It is even better in real life than on the pictures. Thank you!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

A delightful home, where the pictures show exactly how the house is. We loved everyone of our three days here, and wished we were staying longer. It is extremely comfortable, and we so enjoyed all the outside areas, and cooking at the barbecue. We also loved all the little touches, such as the bottle of wine and the toiletries. We are already trying to plan when to return (hopefully next year) so that we can enjoy staying here again. Lastly, all my emails to Carol and Rich (the owners) were answered so promptly, I would have no hesitation recommending this property to friends and relatives.Owner response: I am pleased that you were able to stay at our home in Palm Springs as a part of your SoCal adventure! I am sure you enjoyed our abundant sunshine! We look forward to having you again.

My in laws, my husband and our two children (7 and 5) spent a wonderful week relaxing here! Home has 2 masters (one much larger but we did fine with the smaller one) which worked great for us. We ordered and picked up food almost nightly as great restaurants only 5 min away and enjoyed while the kids slept (since they were exhausted by swimming all day). We did grill out one night and enjoyed sitting at the bar drinking wine while grilling! Pool was great. We paid for heating and it was plenty warm for kids on the warmer days. My father in law enjoyed the hot tub. He uses a cane and the one story house was great for him. We gave them the larger Master for ease of using the shower and they found it very comfortable. Kids room was perfect with the twins and just right size for them. Owner was very responsive (even when stranded herself while traveling with no phone battery!) and a pleasure to work with. Appeared even nicer than the pictures. We will be returning.Owner response: Thank you for staying with us. I am glad you and your extended family enjoyed the house and the surrounding area. If you can get the kids out of the water next time, two parks are nearby and The Living Desert & Children's Museum are also good options for a break from the sun. We love the MB shower too - it's spa-like and yes, the step-in makes it easily accessible (the guest bath is also a step-in). Come visit us again!

We spent a lovely long Thanksgiving weekend at this home and are already checking our calendars for when we can possibly get back. Carol and Rich, the owners, have thought of everything -- from leaving a bottle of wine and sparkling water as a welcome to providing kitchen basics like salt, pepper, olive oil, detergent -- all stuff one usually has to buy in a vacation rental. The house itself is immaculate and decorated by someone with a fabulous eye for mid-century hip. The beds are comfy, the sheets are soft and the bathrooms are delightful retreats on their own -- with lovely tile and top-of-the-line hardware. The house is also toddler-friendly. We had to move a few knick-knacks out of reach and make sure the sliding door to the pool was locked at all times, but there's plenty of room for little walkers to zoom around the main house area. There are also two nearby parks -- one in walking distance and another a 5-minute drive away, both perfect for kids. The Uptown Design District is nearby with a full roster of restaurants to choose from, though the home's gourmet kitchen may just tempt you to cook something at home and sit by the pool with a glass of wine while it's simmering. The wi-fi works like a charm in every room and outside and the owners are extremely responsive to emails. You won't regret booking a few days at this lovely Palm Springs home.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We had a "friends" trip here and had an amazing time. The house is so stylish yet very comfortable. We had plans to eat out a couple of nights but ended staying in and cooking the whole time! The pool is perfect and once you get in you really don't want to leave. It's very reasonably priced and the owner is so nice to work with. We left a few things behind and she had them shipped to us! I highly recommend this property for your Palm Springs trip!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Every year our family celebrates the 4th of July weekend in Palm Springs. Part of the fun is staying in different places. We’ve had numerous experiences and have interacted with a variety of owners. The first thing that strikes you when you first contact Rich and Carol is how nice they are…the second thing is how professional and organized they are. They were an absolute pleasure to work with…from making the deposit to getting the instructions to getting the deposit returned…everything went like clockwork. Their thoughtfulness was evident throughout our stay. We opened the refrigerator and there was a bottle of wine to welcome us. Close by was coffee and a note that said “have the first cup on us”…not to mention small bottles of shampoo and conditioner…just in case we forgot ours. The outside is just as open as the inside. On the back corner of the house is a barbeque surrounded a raised bar with 4 bar stools. It was a little to hot for us to eat at the raised bar when we were there, but I can imagine it is really nice when the weather is a little cooler. The pool is fantastic. The design is perfect…especially during a hot Palm Springs afternoon. A portion of the pool is shaded. As the sun moves across the afternoon sky, more and more of the pool becomes shaded. It makes floating on a mat sipping on a margarita a much more enjoyable experience. The true measure of a mini-vacation is would you repeat it? It probably goes with out saying…we would. Thank you again Rich and Carol. Owner response: Dick, Lani & family, Thanks so much for staying with us over the July 4th weekend. It was our pleasure! Yes it was a bit hot then so I am glad the pool offered you the break that you needed. Come back for another mini-vaca when it is cooler so you can enjoy the outdoor dining plus we hope to add a few more outdoor elements in the coming months!

We just had a blast getaway at this modern and beautiful house. The covered patio is unbelievable - there is a dining area and couch that are perfect for spending all day by the pool. There was cold mineral water and a bottle of wine to greet us upon arrival. Family room with big screen TV and DVD player is great place to hide from the heat. Instructions provided by owners were detail and easy to understand. We would definately recommend this property to others.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My husband and I head to Palm Springs several times a year and always opt to stay in vacation rentals for the privacy, tranquility, and convenience. We just returned from a fabulous weekend getaway at this lovely home and recommend it highly. There are designer touches throughout the home, which make it a special find in the Palm Springs rental market. The pool is a standout - with a portion of it in the shade it is perfect for anyone who wants a spot to get out of the sun, but still enjoy the pool. The covered porch is also a fabulous touch - there is an outdoor dining area and living area that are perfect for spending all day lounging by the pool. The additional touches of first-morning coffee set up, a bottle of sparkling water, and bathroom amenities were also a lovely touch. Carol is a pleasure to deal deal and we'd definitely consider this property again in the future!Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much for your kind words! We are glad that our house offered the respite that you needed from the day-to-day grind at home. We love the pool too and a morning cup of coffee in the backyard always puts us in a good frame of mind to face the day ahead.

We just got back from a wonderful weekend at this beautiful Palm Springs home. Never have I stayed at a vacation rental decorated so well, and still managed to feel comfortable with two toddlers running around. We very comfortably fit two families (ours of 3 and another one of 4) and the beds were better than any hotel I've ever stayed at! The decor is so awesome...mid century modern but feels very chic and high end as well! There Is a flat screen tv in like every room...and the couch is so comfortable yet so stylish! I want to get one for my house!!! The backyard is giant...with a heated pool and tons of grassy areas for the kids to play and not feel like they are close to the pool. There are like 10 different seating options out back...all incredibly comfortable. The views to the mountains is so beautiful around sunset. Every detail of this house exceeds any hotel I've ever stayed at...from the 4 head shower in the master bath, to the high end appliances in the kitchen, to the amazing backyard with the nicest weber grill I've ever bbq'd on!!! The weekend went by way too fast and I'm ready to go back right now!!! We will never stay at another hotel in Palm Springs again, as long as this house exists! Thankyou to the owners for making this home so awesome!!! We will be back!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Kelly, We are so pleased that you loved the house - sounds like you are a fan of mid-century modern like we are. You must stop into some of the stores in the Uptown District next time you are town as they have some very cool retro items. Yes, we love the backyard too, it's hard to step away to enjoy everything else that Palm Springs has to offer. Please come back to stay in the winter months to take in the view of the snow topped mountains from the comfort of the outdoor lounge chairs.
