You will love this house! Private lakefront with a hot tub and pool table, plenty of room, and a great view!
We just put in a new kitchen in this house and completely redid the living room! We have all new cabinets, appliances, lighting, furniture, flooring, and there is also a wall mounted HDTV in the living room, and 2 new loungers in the living room in addition to the sofa!
This house has everything your group will need--ther is broadband internet access (and if you bring your wireless router, you will have Wi-Fi). It has a great design with two master bedrooms on the upper level, both with their own sliding glass doors to the deck---and there is also a center screened in deck area off the kitchen and dining room, so you have plenty of places from in the house to view the lake! One master bedroom has its own TV with cable and remote (for those who love to watch TV in bed!) and there is still another TV in the downstairs family room! The hot tub is on the covered patio, so you can use it no matter what the weather. There is also a new dock with 2 boats (a pedal boat and a rowboat), and 40-50 recent movie DVDs.
In the large cleared yard, there is a firepit (not allowed in many Poconos developments) in addition to horseshoes and a full size bocce ball court. No need to spend money entertaining your group--there's plenty to do at the house!
This house is also great if you're bringing your parents or any older relatives--they can have their own master bedroom on the main floor with the kitchen, living room, and deck, so they won't have to deal with going up and down steps!
We are very conveniently located--less than 7 miles from the Pocono exit of the PA Turnpike, and only 2 miles from the White Haven exit of Route 80. And since we are less than 4 miles from the town of White Haven, you have access to a food store, CVS, 2 pizza palors, restaurants, beer and liquor stores, bank with ATM, ice cream palor, coffeshop, and several other stores, all within a 3 block area--so you don't have to worry about bringing everything from home!
For those who like more activity, we are close to Jack Frost and Big Boulder. We are also near white water rafting and biking on the Lehigh River and Gorge Trail, Hickory Run State Park (has a full beach), H2OOO Water Park, Paintball, Jim Thorpe, Mohegan Sun Casino, outlet shopping areas, and Camelbeach.
House description:
Both master bedrooms are very large, each with a king bed and their own Mitsubishi overhead A/C unit (if you leave the bedroom doors open in the daytime, the 2 units do the entire floor). Each master bedroom has a very large closet, full bathroom, and sliding doors facing the lake and your own section of the deck.
The central enclosed (and screened) deck has 2 tables that can seat 12 for semi-outdoor dining, or split the tables up for a great card playing space.
Downstairs there are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a full bathroom for that floor. There is also a queen sofa bed in the upstairs living room and one in the downstairs family room next to the pool table area.

We stayed at this lake house for the long labor day weekend. There was a group of 10 of us. We couldn't have asked for a better house to stay in. The house was clean, well kept and perfect for 10 adults. The lake is small, but absolutely beautiful. Mike was very helpful and showed us how to use the hot tub and ac unit before he left. We loved the screened in porch and loved eating our meals there. Our only complaint would be the fold out couch in the downstairs family room was a bit uncomfortable. Everything else was absolutely perfect! We surly will be returning for another relaxing weekend next summer!Recommended for: Adventure seekers.

This house was great for our vacation. Spent most of our time on the screened in porch & outside. It was so peaceful. Cooked on the grill just about every night and had our dinner on the screened in porch facing the lake. What a nice view. Fishing was great and my husband caught a variety of fish in the boat & off the dock. Had a fire one evening and enjoyed the sounds of nature which was very relaxing. It was an excellent vacation for us. The information binder is very helpful with a lot of humor in it. Good job Celeste. Had a small issue which Mike took care of immediately. He was very helpful with everything. This house is beautifully layed out with a lot of room and very modern and clean. Wish we could of stayed longer. We liked this place so much that we already booked our vacation for next year. Thanks Mike for everything.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

We were looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation spot and a rental with all the comforts of home. The listing description was very accurate and the house was even nicer than we expected. It was very clean and the owner was very easy to work with. The new kitchen is beautiful and the living room with big screen TV was a favorite gathering place of our kids. We enjoyed the pool table and having access to the Internet was a big plus to research things to do in the area. The two master bedrooms on the main floor were huge and very comfortable and the master bath appeared to have been recently renovated as well. The large air-conditioning units in each bedroom were more than adequate to cool the whole top floor and they were extremely quiet. The view of the wooded backyard and lake was very relaxing and we enjoyed the wildlife especially the great blue heron that would swoop over the lake almost daily. We also spotted what looked like an otter frollicking in the lake one day. Our family spent alot of time paddling around the lake in search of the best fishing spot. We caught lots of fish including bass, sunnies and even a catfish. Just about every time the lines went in something would bite. Most evenings found us sitting around a roaring fire and the stargazing was awesome. The neighborhood was family oriented and very quiet. White Haven is a fairly small town and it was a bit of a challenge finding nice restaurants in the immediate area. We tried the Powerhouse Eatery one evening and felt the food was nothing special and a bit on the expensive side. We do not recommend the Ugly Mug; although the food was good, the service was extremely slow and they overcharged our credit card. We had pizza one night from the local place across from the White Haven Market and it was good. We did the 15 mile Lehigh Gorge bike trail from Rockport down to Jim Thorpe which was fun and very scenic. There were only two negatives of this rental: The rowboat and peddle boats were in need of repair. They took on water but did the job of getting everyone around the lake and we still had lots of fun. Also, not sure if this is the norm, but the house is fairly close to Route 940 and there was a steady stream of 18-wheeled tanker trucks going up and down the road all day and sometimes as late as 9:30 in the evening. We would never have expected this in what was otherwise a peaceful setting. Other than that it was a great rental and we had a wonderful vacation with lots of good memories.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thanks for the review and glad you had a great time. Sorry about the boats--we try to keep them in good working condition or replace them as needed, but sometimes in the summer they wind up getting a lot of use and may get a little beaten up. And for other renters' information, the house isn't really that close to 940, and in 13 years this is the first time anyone has ever complained about any traffic noise. We're glad you liked our renovations---we try to redo at least a room or 2 in each of our houses every year, but this house got a major overhaul last year---and if you return, you'll probably see even more changes over time!

This house was perfect for our ski weekend getaway. It had everything I was searching for, 4 bedrooms with beds that can fit couples, a full kitchen that had everything you can think of, two living rooms with TVs and cable with bunch of DVDs to watch, but most importantly the HOT TUB! talk about amazing especially in the middle of winter and a snowy night. We had a blast, young married couples away for the weekend. We went skiing during the day about a 25 min drive, played pool every night, jumped in the hot tub, played games and just simply enjoyed our selves, Owner Michael came and showed us everything that we needed to know. Had instructions on anything we didn't know how to use, made a book actually that told us where and how far things were as in shopping , grocery store, etc. Thank you Michael for making this house just PERFECT! And totally looking forward for our next weekend getaway here!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your review, and we're so glad you had a great time! Hope to see you again!

My sister's family and mine just came back from a week at Lake Ag-Mar-----we never heard of it before, but are so happy we found it! The house is perfect! We loved the screened in deck area that everyone wound up using for eating, playing cards and just viewing the lake and yard. And our kids loved playing bocce and horse shoes in the yard. We were able to keep them busy all week between the yard games, going out on the boats (and the fishing was great, too!), playing in the hot tub and playing pool. Our husbands liked grilling and setting up the fires in the firepit at night (and fishing, too). We never stayed lakefront before but it was really worth it. There was so much to do, and more privacy. The house is nicely kept up, and the owner Michael was very helpful. He was easy to deal with when we were deciding to rent, met us at the house to explain how everything worked, and told us to call him if we needed anything since he lives nearby. This was the best vacation for me and my sister! We didn't have to entertain the kids all the time, or drive them to the beach! We each got our own master bedrooms, too! The kitchen is large, and there is a second refrigerator in the garage for sodas/beers/ice/etc, so we were really happy. And after the kids went to bed, there are lots of DVDs to watch. I can't stop thinking of how many good things I noticed at this house vs other mountain rentals we've done! We are already planning for next year (and Michael said they are going to put in a new kitchen and redo the living room before then, and we saw the house he has next door, and it is also really nice, so we can't wait) Our kids are even telling their friends how much they liked it, so you know we had a good time! And we didn't have to leave the house (aka spend more money) to keep them happy!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
