  We loved our stay in this house. It is bright, charming, and very clean, with lovely artwork and plantings. Our hosts were very responsive when we needed something during our stay. If you are a fan of Lambert's Cove beach, as we are, the location is perfect. Linens and towels were provided, and the dishes and glassware was pretty to use. There was a TV, DVD player, and wireless was available. Privacy is afforded, even though the house is small, by having a bedroom on each floor. We do hope to return!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  The house was lovely; it felt like a treehouse. Wonderful wooded paths out back for walking and nice, open and breezy. Colorful and artsy and private feeling (except for the neighbor's dog who barks alot)... Off a lovely road for biking to the beautiful Lambert's Cove Beach and centrally located near the center of the island... We will return some day!!!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  I recently stayed out this adorable house in West Tisbury. It was the perfect place for me and my small family. When we arrived, we were greeted by the owners with a dozen fresh eggs! There are seemingly endless walking travels near by as well as our new favorite beach, Lambert's Cove Beach. If you are looking for a cozy, neat, clean and affordable house, I would highly recommend this one. It had everything we needed for our stay on the island. We will definitely be returning in the fall.

  This rental is a few feet from the "main" house and although there is shrubbery, there is no real privacy. I missed the privacy of previous rentals, it's what I love on the Island. I was really bummed that the furniture was so uncomfortable. The couch was really old and not in a comfy way. Sitting to relax and read or watch TV after the beach just seemed impossible, the other option was a wicker chair or an office chair on wheels. It took a few days to get towels and the owners entered while we were out when the fridge broke. The fixed the fridge, it took two days and we lost all the food. It also took 5 weeks to get the deposit back. The house is beautiful on the outside and the landscaping is nice. It's close to VH. The deck is so-so, the house is missing something. Also, count on the cleaning fee/garbage fee as part of the cost. I'm not going back, I'm gonna try a new place.

  Owner response: We had no idea that she had such an unpleasant stay. There was no indication of that when her kids joined ours to play some ball. It was a unfortunate that the fridge broke. We supplied a small fridge until the other was fixed. Of course we let them know approximate times that the repair people would be there, which on the Vineyard in the summer is hard to say and we let them know they would enter the house to fix the problem. As to the deposit, cleaning and garbage fees, it is clearly stated in the lease agreement and everything was taken care of in a timely manner according to the lease. We are glad she said something about the furniture! We are looking into replacing it and making it more comfortable. And we are adding more landscaping to provide more privacy.
