The open kitchen/ dining / living floor plan on the main level lends itself to memorable gatherings of family and friends. The dining table seats 10. Your kids- young and old alike- will love the loft. The large south-facing deck off the main level has great views and is ideal for sunning, reading, or cooking out. There is an even larger deck on the ground level that accesses the back yard. The lower level has two private bedrooms with queen beds that share a bath. Sunlit, Cozy Townhome in Town Sleeps 10!
Year Purchased: 2004
Why the Owner Chose Crested Butte
I started coming to CB in 1992 to ski, and enjoyed it so much I kept coming back. When I started looking at real estate, it soon became clear that the place to be was in town (vs. up in Mt CB) close to restaurants, shopping, parks, and summer festivities. Although there's no denying that ski-in, ski-out is convenient in the winter, being in town is more convenient overall. The 10-minute bus ride to the slopes is so short as to be inconsequential. And most people come down into town from Mt. CB to eat at night...so you can choose to ride the bus up in the morning to ski, or choose to ride it down at night to eat out/ shop.

This duplex was in a great location in Crested Butte, and was spacious, well-appointed, and clean. The linens were wonderful! We were traveling with just four adults, but we could have easily had room for more. We would go back and stay at this rental again and would definitely recommend it to a friend. Probably a 5-7 minute walk to town, which is perfect. An excellent value in a beautiful town.

We had an absolutely wonderful time and your place was very accommodating and perfect for our vacation. The part of my family that stayed there was very pleased with the size, layout, furnishings, and provided household items. But of all things, the town location was our favorite. It is so ideal for people with children who want to walk over to the very nice town park, take a stroll up the mountain across the river along the trail, and the closeness to town for dinner and shopping is wonderful. To be completely honest, we spent very little time actually in the home because we hiked, fished, rode horses, went white-water rafting, biking, and plenty of dining, shopping and site-seeing. But when we were there (or at least my sister's family and my parents, which is who stayed there) it was very homey and relaxing. My parents owned a condo in Mt Crested Butte for 20 years, so going to Crested Butte has been a huge part of my life, and we're all sold on staying in town versus staying on the mountain. So thank you for the wonderful home, for sharing it with us, and for making the whole process so easy.
