You’ll feel right at home from the moment you enter this quaint yet modern, spacious, non-smoking duplex unit built in 1998. Luxurious bedding, tasteful furnishings, natural wood accents, and saltillo tile floors with radiant heat welcome you, while a wall of south-facing windows flood the vaulted great room with light. There are great views of the Butte from the front porch and rear balcony.
The open kitchen/ dining / living floor plan on the main level lends itself to memorable gatherings of family and friends. The dining table seats 10. Your kids- young and old alike- will love the loft. The large south-facing balcony-deck off the main level has great views and is ideal for sunning, reading, or cooking out. There is an even larger deck on the ground level that accesses the back yard. The lower level has two private bedrooms with queen beds that share a bath. A second full bath and sleeper sofa are on the main level, while the loft has two queen beds and it's own half bath.
There are three TVs/two VCRs/one DVD player, and a large video library means you won't have to rent movies. The stereo has a docking station for your ipod.
Conveniently located in town, just two blocks from the free shuttle that takes you on the 10 min. ride (last stop going, first stop returning) to the ski area, this duplex condo is an easy five to ten minute walk from Elk Avenue restaurants and shopping. It's four blocks from the town park/playscape where outdoor concerts are held.
Kid-Friendly: Our kids love it, and yours will too! It's 1/2 block from a brand new modern playscape with climbing boulder, and 1/2 mile from a BMX park. There's a pack'n'play crib, child car seat, and a trunk full of toys and kid's videos. See if they can find the 'secret view' of the Butte from inside the condo...

Three of us stayed at this townhome in early March for a ladies' weekend, and we loved it! The description & photos were very accurate. The townhome is located in a quiet neighborhood with nice views and only a short walk to town. It was light & open, well kept & clean with a fully stocked kitchen, south facing deck, super comfortable and cozy beds, wireless internet, plenty of movies, games and three cable tvs (one in each bedroom & one in the living room.) It was PERFECT. I would highly recommend this property for a clean, cozy, sunny, close to town Crested Butte getaway!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This place exceeded our expectations. The charming townhouse was located on a quiet side street a block from Nordic trails and a great park for kids. We were only 5 minutes from the bus stop that takes you up mountain to lift area (about 10 minute ride) and 10 minute walk to downtown restaurants. Although we ate out a few times during our stay we also bought groceries in town and cooked a number of meals. The townhome was fully furnished with everything we needed for cooking. Unlike some vacation rentals this place had great appliances and felt more like a well-equipped home in place of typical rental property. There was an outdoor second story with view of mountains. Next time we visit I’ll remember to use the outdoor grill. I would highly recommend this property for a couple, family, or group of friends. After staying here it will be hard going back to impersonal hotels.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Great location in town. Easy walking distance from downtown, and just 2 blocks from bus stop to slopes (last stop going on, first stop going in - awesome). This property was perfect for our recent ski trip. The main area was spacious and the vaulted ceiling and ample windows made for a very open, comfortable place to hang out. We intended to eat out a lot but the modern, well equipped kitchen and large dining table made it easy to prepare great meals at "home," saving us a bundle. There were plenty of bathroom facilities and the beds were very comfortable. I'm somewhat of a linen snob and recognized the sheets to be high thread count combed cotton, a touch I've not seen in many rentals. The heated tile floors on the lower sleeping level were also a nice touch. Access to the ski area was very convenient on the free shuttle enabling everyone to come and go from the mountain at their own leisure. "See you at the condo" or "I'll meet you at the Silver Queen lift" were commonly heard. It was just a perfect ski trip.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. I especially loved all the windows, light and the openness of the design. It was very clean and well equipped. It is a great location - close enough to walk to town, very quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again. We didn't end up bringing our dog - but I can see it would have been a great property for pets. There was a good selection of cookware - one minor suggestion I would make is a crock-pot or roasting pan! We're hoping we will go back to Crested Butte - and would want to stay here again! (I wish I was on the balcony right now - drinking my morning coffee!)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This property was all and more than we could imagine! The setting is perfect, on a quiet street, yet very close to all the downtown of Crested Butte has to offer. The property is first rate: bright & airy; clean & well maintained; large rooms with nice decor; lots of space; and fully equiped for a pleasurable stay. One of the best places that we have ever stayed at---we didn't want to leave! :-)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We can't say enough about our experience in at this property in Crested Butte this summer. There was no let-down at all on arrival. The townhome had everything you can imagine you would need...and more. The views of the mountains from 3 sides were beautiful. The house was cozy and comfortable. PLenty of room. Washer and dryer were key. Tons of towels---that was really nice. The kitchen and living room are nicely separated formt he bedrooms such that early risers can't be heard by late sleepers! The location was perfect. You don't need your car. You can walk and ride your bike to anywhere, and take the free shuttle up to the mountain. This was a frequent treat for our 14 month old, and relaxing and beautiful for us. We were 2 houses from a large park with a large new playground, pasture and a paved trail all the way up to Mt Crested Butte. We highly recommend The Secret Stash for pizza. The whole foods grocery in town had a good selection and good treats and muffins every morning. Great coffee at Camp Four Coffee. The owners are responsive and care about your visit. Our family had a wonderful time in Crested Butte! We have been coming for many years and love everything about CB. Our stay here was just as pleasant! We had everything we needed, most anything you might have at home they have here for you, and then some. It was very clean, we had plenty of room and were able to even have a few guests stay with us a couple nights without feeling cramped. We have small children and they loved playing in the loft area and the fact that we were two houses away from Rainbow Park. I'm certain we will try to stay here again! WOW what a great townhome for our first summer family vacation to CB! It was nicely appointed and meet all our expectations and more. Perfect location to town, hiking, the town park for summer concerts, and the bus stop for Mt. Crested Butte. Our family has young adults so everyone needs space and we had plenty! Making arrangements with the owner was very simple and he answered every question in a timely fashion. I can't wait to go back to this sunny townhome in the town I would love to live!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We spent a week at this fabulous town home in December 2010. We were extremely comfortable, our dogs loved it too.. There was ample bathroom and kitchen supplies. If you have pets or kids, this is a perfect place to kick back and relax, if you don't have either, it's would still be a perfect place to stay. The location is perfect for both snow skiing and dinning. The home was spotless. We would definitely return.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

About the owner: I'm an emergency physician by trade, and live with my wife and two daughters in Austin, Texas.
Why the Owner Chose Crested Butte:
I started coming to CB in 1992 to ski, and enjoyed it so much I kept coming back. When I started looking at real estate, it soon became clear that the place to be was in town (vs. up in Mt CB) close to restaurants, shopping, parks, and summer festivities. Although there's no denying that ski-in, ski-out is convenient in the winter, being in town is more convenient overall. The 10-minute bus ride to the slopes is so short as to be inconsequential. And most people come down into town from Mt. CB to eat at night...so you can choose to ride the bus up in the morning to ski, or choose to ride it down at night to eat out/ shop.
