You’ll feel right at home from the moment you enter this quaint, spacious, homey, non-smoking duplex unit built in 1998 and remodeled in 2013. Luxurious bedding, tasteful furnishings, natural wood accents, granite counters, and saltillo tile floors with radiant heat welcome you, while a wall of south-facing windows flood the vaulted great room with light. There are great views of the Butte from the front porch and rear balcony.
The open kitchen/ dining / living floor plan on the main level lends itself to memorable gatherings of family and friends. The dining table seats 10. Your kids- young and old alike- will love the loft. The large south-facing balcony-deck off the main level has great views and is ideal for sunning, reading, or cooking out. There is an even larger deck on the ground level that accesses the back yard. The lower level has two private bedrooms with queen beds that share a bath. A second full bath and sleeper sofa are on the main level, while the loft has two queen beds and it's own half bath.
There are three TVs/two VCRs/one DVD player, and a large video library means you won't have to rent movies. The stereo has a docking station for your ipod.

Cancellations more than 90 days prior to check-in will be fully refunded less a $50 cancellation fee, or the deposit can be credited to a future, mutually agreeable rental date. Cancellations less than 90 days prior to check-in are non-refundable, unless we are able to rebook the property for the dates you had reserved, in which case a pro-rated portion of the fees will be refunded based on new booking dates, less a $50 cancellation fee. HOLIDAY WEEKEND RATES APPLY IF THE STAY INCLUDES THE FRI, SAT, OR SUN PRIOR.

Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed with a deposit. Stays of 4 nights or less require payment in full to hold the reservation. Stays of 5 nights or more can be held with a 50% deposit if >90 days before rental date. Balance of payment will be due 90 days before rental date.

Winter: our place is 2 blocks from the last free shuttle stop before the ski area, max 10 min ride to lifts. So you're the last on, and the first off.

About the owner: I'm an emergency physician by trade, and live with my wife and two daughters in Austin, Texas.
Why the Owner Chose Crested Butte: I started coming to CB in 1992 to ski, and enjoyed it so much I kept coming back. When I started looking at real estate, it soon became clear that the place to be was in town (vs. up in Mt CB) close to restaurants, shopping, parks, and summer festivities. Although there's no denying that ski-in, ski-out is convenient in the winter, being in town is more convenient overall. The 10-minute bus ride to the slopes is so short as to be inconsequential. And most people come down into town from Mt. CB to eat at night...so you can choose to ride the bus up in the morning to ski, or choose to ride it down at night to eat out/ shop.
