Luxurious bedding, tasteful furnishings, natural wood accents, and saltillo tile floors with radiant heat welcome you, while a wall of south-facing windows flood the vaulted great room with light. There are great views of the Butte from the front porch and rear balcony.
The open kitchen/ dining / living floor plan on the main level lends itself to memorable gatherings of family and friends. The dining table seats 10. Your kids- young and old alike- will love the loft. The large south-facing balcony-deck off the main level has great views and is ideal for sunning, reading, or cooking out. There is an even larger deck on the ground level that accesses the back yard. The lower level has two private bedrooms with queen beds that share a bath. A second full bath and sleeper sofa are on the main level, while the loft has two queen beds and it's own half bath.

Conveniently located in town, just two blocks from the free shuttle that takes you on the short ride to the ski area, this duplex condo is an easy five to ten minute walk from Elk Avenue restaurants and shopping. It's four blocks from the town park/playscape where outdoor concerts are held.
Kid-Friendly: Our kids love it, and yours will too! It's 1/2 block from a brand new modern playscape with climbing boulder, and 1/2 mile from a BMX park. There's a pack'n'play crib, child car seat, and a trunk full of toys and kid's videos. See if they can find the "secret view" of the Butte from inside the condo...

Sunlit, Cozy Townhome in Town Sleeps 10!
Year Purchased: 2004
Why the Owner Chose Crested Butte
I started coming to CB in 1992 to ski, and enjoyed it so much I kept coming back. When I started looking at real estate, it soon became clear that the place to be was in town (vs. up in Mt CB) close to restaurants, shopping, parks, and summer festivities. Although there's no denying that ski-in, ski-out is convenient in the winter, being in town is more convenient overall. The 10-minute bus ride to the slopes is so short as to be inconsequential. And most people come down into town from Mt. CB to eat at night...so you can choose to ride the bus up in the morning to ski, or choose to ride it down at night to eat out/ shop.

We can't say enough about our experience in at this property in Crested Butte this summer. There was no let-down at all on arrival. The townhome had everything you can imagine you would need...and more. The views of the mountains from 3 sides were beautiful. The house was cozy and comfortable. PLenty of room. Washer and dryer were key. Tons of towels---that was really nice. The kitchen and living room are nicely separated formt he bedrooms such that early risers can't be heard by late sleepers! The location was perfect. You don't need your car. You can walk and ride your bike to anywhere, and take the free shuttle up to the mountain. This was a frequent treat for our 14 month old, and relaxing and beautiful for us. We were 2 houses from a large park with a large new playground, pasture and a paved trail all the way up to Mt Crested Butte. We highly recommend The Secret Stash for pizza. The whole foods grocery in town had a good selection and good treats and muffins every morning. Great coffee at Camp Four Coffee. The owners are responsive and care about your visit. We will go return without a doubt!

Our family had a wonderful time in Crested Butte! We have been coming for many years and love everything about CB. Our stay here was just as pleasant! We had everything we needed, most anything you might have at home they have here for you, and then some. It was very clean, we had plenty of room and were able to even have a few guests stay with us a couple nights without feeling cramped. We have small children and they loved playing in the loft area and the fact that we were two houses away from Rainbow Park. I'm certain we will try to stay here again! Thanks so much Mike!!

WOW what a great townhome for our first summer family vacation to CB! It was nicely appointed and meet all our expectations and more. Perfect location to town, hiking, the town park for summer concerts, and the bus stop for Mt. Crested Butte. Our family has young adults so everyone needs space and we had plenty! Making arrangements with the owner was very simple and he answered every question in a timely fashion. I can't wait to go back to this sunny townhome in the town I would love to live!!

We spent a week at this fabulous town home in December 2010. We were extremely comfortable, our dogs loved it too.. There was ample bathroom and kitchen supplies. If you have pets or kids, this is a perfect place to kick back and relax, if you don't have either, it's would still be a perfect place to stay. The location is perfect for both snow skiing and dinning. The home was spotless. We would definitely return.

My daughter recently got married in Crested Butte and it was a multi-day celebration. We wanted a nice place to stay for 4 people close to town. We found it at this townhome we found here on VRBO. The pictures that you see online here are exactly what the place looks like. It is warm , furnished in classy furnishings with beautiful artwork on the walls. The floors are ceramic tile and are heated which makes this very cozy when it's nippy outside. There is a great deck off of the kitchen /living room area. Because it is on the South side we were able to relax out there in the sun even at the end of Sept. The townhome is clean and has all of the appliances, tv's, and kitchen utensils that you will need. The owner quickly responds to any questions and inquiries and sends a detailed list of how to check and how to operate everything once you are there. I would highly recommend this townhome if you are planning a stay in Crested Butte. You cannot beat the location, it is only a 5 minute walk to town. There are so many great restaurants and shops to enjoy down there so this makes it great.

What a wonderful townhome! My husband and I stayed two nights in late September and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home is beautifully appointed and offers all necessities for a comfortable stay. If you're able to travel in the fall, be certain to travel above Crested Butte toward Kebler Pass - this has to be the largest and most colorful aspen forest in North America! Worth the trip! Thanks again for a wonderful stay and great hospitality!

Great spot to stay in CB! The townhouse is centrally located, five minute walk to town...comfy beds and large open livingroom/kitchen. The back deck is lovely for relaxing with a book in the afternoon. We will definitely rent from Mike when we return to Crested Butte!

My first stay at the "Yellow" house was July of 2009. The property is pet friendly, in a great location in the Town of Crested Butte with easy access to restaurants, shopping, hiking, biking, free bus...everything. Neighbors were great...my stay was very memorable. So memorable, I rented again in July 2010. Just love everything about it!

We had a family of six stay here for a week in the summer and found it to be absolutely ideal. It was spacious and quite comfortable. The beds were very comfy and the full-sized kitchen was perfect. The location was great, too – a stone's throw away from a big playground with a pavillion and grills as well as a gorgeous soccer field and mini BMX park. Easy access to everything in town. We rented bicycles and rode all over town, and found it easy to secure them to the bus for rides up to Mt. Crested Butte. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

We loved staying in the Gothic St house - the location couldn't be better and the accommodations were superb! The house had everything we needed for the adults, the toddler and the dog. We ate delicious food at the Ginger Cafe and enjoyed the beautiful Crested Butte weather form the porch and deck - thanks for a wonderful experience !
