This was the cleanest, best maintained vacation property we have ever stayed at, as well as lovely peace and quiet, and close to fabulous natural attractions and recreational opportunities. Be aware the 2nd bedroom is a loft up a ladder, but the rungs are square so easier to climb than most. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it as a great place to explore central Oregon from, or to get away from it all.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Had a great couple of days hanging out at this awesome little cabin. The landscaping and location are great, and close to all kinds of activities. The cabin itself is really nice, with a really nice bedroom and deck overlooking the river.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway.

After camping for 3 days it was such a treat to arrive at such a cozy little cabin on the Deschutes. We watched deer walk right thru the yard and bald eagles fish in the river just behind the house, it couldn't have been more picturesque! And to top it off, the cabin was fully prepared with everything we needed. It couldn't have been easier or more perfect! Thank you!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The view of the river was wonderful, and there were several areas to enjoy outside - a roomy deck, a picnic table area, a sitting area for gazing at the river, and a firepit for s'more-making. The cabin was clean and well-maintained, as well as stocked with everything you could need. Amenities like satellite TV and WiFi were helpful for keeping tween-aged kids entertained, and a washer/dryer combo was also a plus. The cabin is located only a few miles from Wickiup Reservoir, which is wonderful for boating, and the section of river in front of the cabin is perfect for beginning kayakers.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This was my first experience with a rental in this area as I usually rent in Bend. But this was absolutely perfect! The home was immaculate and had so many unique, artistic touches. Opening up the doors onto the decks first thing in the morning and listening to nothing except the birds and looking out over the Deschutes was so peaceful, yet invigorating. Thank you so much for allowing me this opportunity! I hope to return to your cozy, comfortable home in the future. Oh, and Jazzmin, my golden says thanks for providing a bed and a deck view of the chipmunks and deer!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, girls getaway.

The house has everything you would want. Clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside on the spacious deck or on the benches overlooking the river. Great place for kayaking as the boat launch is nearby.Nine miles kayaking to Bull Bend, beautiful, no rapids. Drift along, picnic, relax on the water. This home has a quiet setting and very relaxing! Nice evening fires in the covered pit, watching the stars. Fire wood was furnished. Great place to stay. The price is great too.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

The Deschutes River House was very comfortable and charming. We were so relaxed and pleased with all of the ammenities of the house. The coffee maker, cook stove and oven, microwave, and refrigerator made staying in the forest a breeze. We loved that there was a wood stove and wood for warmth and that there was plenty of bedding and extras. The interior of the home is visually satisfying as well. We also loved seeing the river from the large deck and the sunset from the living room. It was definately a place you could call a "home away from home." We were thrilled to see deer in the yard in the morning as well. Great place!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children.
