These two structures are perched on the shore of Caspian Lake, one of the most pristine lakes in northern Vermont, a region renowned for its clear mountain air, rolling landscapes dotted with farmhouses and unique Northeast Kingdom history.
This family retreat, nestled on its own secluded acreage of trees and within easy walking distance of the hamlet of Greensboro, has unequaled access to a private dock and, with kayaks and a sailboat, all the water activities the lake has to offer. There are miles of walking and biking trails and back-country roads to explore and fishing in the lake and nearby rivers.
Friendly locals will help you find your way to the best antique and artist’s shops as well as the social events and attractions in and around Greensboro. A quaint general store, gift shop, post office, church and library complete the picture.
Both houses are equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and care-free. They are not winterized and so can be rented only during the Summer and Fall months. Either house can be rented separately.
The house consists of two structures, familyroom/kitchen and bunkhouse, connected by an open breezeway. The main gathering area has a full kitchen and a great-room with fireplace, puzzles, games and books as well as a deck with beautiful views of the lake.
Across the breezeway is the sleeping area, a pine "bunk house" with six bedrooms and two baths, which can easily sleep 12 people. And with the cool summer nights and the occasional calling of the loons on the lake, sleeping can be a magnificent experience.
The cottage, with one bedroom and full bath, kitchenette and living room with pull-out sofa can accommodate 2 adults and one or two small children. It has it's own private pathway and a full deck overlooking the lake.
