Though our stay at Tiburon Landing was brief (less than 10 hours) it was just what the doctor ordered after a long flight from the East Coast. Waking up with the beautiful view of Angel Island, the bay and San Francisco was wonderful. We cruised to SF and back on the ferry and would highly recommend it to all. While there were four of us staying at the home we found it comfortable and inviting. We hope to get the chance to visit again and hopefully stay a bit longer. Thanks for all your set up work on the front side of our stay and the followup after.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are happy that you enjoyed Tiburon Landing and look forward to your return and lengthier stay to enjoy more of the San Francisco Bay area, Tiburon and the wine country.

Thank you, Lisa, for accommodating our last minute request. Mommy + Daddy + Toddler + 2 dogs all had a wonderful time. The the views from the deck were spectacular and the place itself was both cozy and immaculate. The dogs loved walking the local hills. We had a beautiful dinner at The Caprice. I picked up coffee each morning at 7am from Cafe Acri...a 3 minute drive away. We had a blast and can't wait to come back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

I am rating this rental as excellent, with a couple exceptions. But first the Good stuff!! The view is spectacular!! My husband and I stayed for 6 nights celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We fell in love with the town of Tiburon. The duplex is close enough to walk into town and enjoy even better views of the San Francisco Skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge...that is if you want to leave the deck!! The bed was fabulous!! I struggle with sleep and had never slept on a memory foam bed before....after 6 nights I'm wanting to change my bed at home!! Everything you needed was available and the inside was very nice and clean. We went wine tasting twice and it was nice to come home with a nice bottle of wine and have nice glasses to drink it out of...don't often find that. We rented bikes for the week and took them over on the ferry into San Francisco...did the Segways and then rode back to Tiburon across the Golden Gate Bridge. Another day we took our bikes over to Angel Island and the views get even better!! This was such a great place to stay...away for the hustle of San Francisco, but still close. Also close to wine tasting. If you're looking for a great place to eat with a GREAT view...we ate at Capris right down the road on our anniversary and it was great...and you can walk!! I have only two things that I think the owners should consider. First...this is the ninth VRBO that we have stayed in and have never ran accross all the personal items that were in this place. There was so much personal stuff that we didn't have a lot of room to put our stuff. I think they should do a better job of locking off their personal stuff. The other thing is that as clean as the place was, and as beautiful as the view is...there were lots of cob webs all along the railing on the deck. You had to look through the cob webs while looking at the beautiful view. Neither of these things would defer me from renting this place again, but something the owners should address. I would highly recommend this place. We had neighbors right above us (as this is a duplex), but they were very nice and very quiet. If you're looking for a peaceful place to relax and enjoy San Francisco or wine tasting, this is the place!!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We want to thank you for a wonderful place to stay during our trip to California. We loved sitting outside in "the kasbah" after a long day in San Francisco. The view was beautiful and the weather was perfect. The decor was very nice and the bathroom had a very zen, spa-like feel. The pictures on the website are current and match what to expect during your stay. Lisa was wonderful during our stay and checked on us several times. We enjoyed our stay in Tiburon.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The place is not what the owner says it is. This is the fith time that we have used HomeAway vacation rentals & its the first time we had a horrible experience. It is not a luxury private home. It is the lower half of a run down duplex with someone living in the upper unit & they made noise the whole time we were there. The kitchen & all the appliances, dishes & utensils are old outdated junk. The place is dirty & in need of paint inside & out. The linens are far from luxurious, they where soiled & stained. The laundry room is hidden inside the back of a closet in a dark, dank dungen type of a room complete with cobwebs & spiders. The hot & cold water was hooked up backwards on the washing machine & when I did a load of laundry it destroyed my clothes. The closets & dressers where full of someones personal belongings, there is even junk under the bed. It was very creepy! We could not use the bar-b-q because it is so rusted out that it was not safe to use. The glass panels around the deck railing are falling out of their frames, someone could get hurt or die. We were charged a cleaning fee but the place was dirty before we ever got there. Nearly half of the things listed on the accommodations & amenities list where not provided. The food & suppies left behind by previous tenants was outdated & unusable. There is more to complain about but what good would that do? What I listed above is enough to ruin any dream vacation. There are so many other rentals to choose from why risk your vacation? I have sent letters & e-mails to the owner but they refuse to contact me.Owner response: We are saddened that this review has taken place. Our first business is making our guests happy and we invite you to read any and all guest comments which tell the true story. Photos also tell the true story and we stand behind them. Most disturbing is that when contacted on 3 separate occasions during their stay this party was expressively thankful, enjoying themselves and at no time mentioned any discomforts. Sadly, this appears to be someone frivolously in pursuit of a free vacation. I only wish for them more honest travels without disparaging attempts for a free ride.

My mom and I stayed at this Tiburon location. It was a great all around experience. Lisa was accommodating and friendly and made our arrival and departure very easy. They had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location was superb with beautiful bay views making for a wonderful way to begin and end each day we were on vacation.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children.
Owner response: We LOVED having you both as guests and hope you will return to Tiburon Landing very soon! Come back and enjoy the views and weather in our little subclimate. :-)

This is truly a remarkable place. Perfect for a couple - just the right amount of room and nicely decorated. The view is breathtaking and the hourly changes on the water across the bay with fog and sunshine competing are hypnotizing. We spent more time on the deck than inside. Tiburon is a beautifully kept secret, quite, quaint and very friendly. Lisa and Steve are amazing hosts. Our "neighbors" who are locals graciously took us to the Farmer's Market in San Rafael. You don't want to miss it. Biggest (and best) I've ever seen. There are a million and one things to do in the area, but our favorite part of the day was returning to our little piece of heaven on the bay. Truly one of the best (if not The Best) rentals we have stayed in over the years.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Wow! You've shared the best secret in Tiburon! :-) Thanks for the kind words and we look forward to your return! Cheers.

Fabulous view of the bay and San Francisco! Terrific balcony/patio, very relaxing. We could have spent our entire vacation on the patio, but of course we also spent time in the wine country, Muir Woods, and hiking on the trails nearby. Lisa was extremely helpful and accommodating!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
