Villa Semua Suka is artistically decorated with Balinese handcrafted art and furniture and collectibles, and is set in a lush garden compound.
We have sought to include every convenience to help make your stay enjoyable.
Located just minutes from the village of Ubud, either by foot, car or bike.
The Villa is on a small walking path about 300 meters and 10 steps from the main road. This ensures that there isn't any noise from cars or motor bikes near our home.
A stay at Villa Semua Suka includes a sumptuous gourmet breakfast of eggs/pancakes/french toast, fruit, coffee or tea, and homemade bread and jam.
We also provide daily maid service.
You will enjoy satellite TV and a DVD player in the large Villa and a TV with a DVD player in the Bungalow as well as wireless internet access throughout the grounds.
All 3 bedrooms have air-conditioning, and ensuite baths with sinks, toilets and showers. There are also two outdoor showers and a tub for flower baths.
The main Villa has a large kitchen with all conveniences, and the Bungalow has a fridge and coffee and tea service.
On the grounds of the garden is a Bale (gazebo), for rest and relaxation, a swimming pool, and a well stocked Koi pond.
Both houses are tastefully designed and furnished with a focus on light, color and craftsmanship. We have attempted to meld the inside and the outside into a harmonious whole.
A visit to Villa Semua Suka incorporates the amenities of a hotel and the comforts of a home.
Keywords: Nestled in the ricefields, far from the maddening crowds of Ubud, built on a small walking path is Villa Semua Suka, a jewel in the crown set amidst lush flowering gardens and cool summer breezes.
Villa Semua Suka was built and completed in 2011, designed with Western comfort and Balinese esthetics in mind. This enclosed compound consists of two Villas, a 2 bed 2 bath 2 storey Villa and a 1 bed 1 bath Bungalow Jepun, as well as a swimming pool, bale for reading and relaxing and a small lotus pond, for contemplation.

Semua Suka is a small slice of paradise on earth. A 15 minute walk on the main road from Ubud, this 2 bedroom 2 bath main house plus 1 bedroom and 1 bath separate bungalow nestled in a bejeweled garden is a pleasure to inhabit. My husband and I spent 5 glorious weeks here and would have stayed longer if the owners had not insisted upon returning. On arrival with our 6 suitcases we were somewhat daunted by the set of rather steep stairs that faced us at the main roadway leading alongside the wall of one of the major supermarkets just outside Ubud. We were heartened by the warm welcome of the staff who had come to greet us and carry our luggage and lead us to the compound. We climbed the stairs and began what seemed at the time to be a long walk along the high wall of the market and then between the walled compounds, across a waterfall made by the irrigation canals from the nearby rice paddies, along a ridge where a cock crowed every time we passed whether day or night to a beautifully carved wooden door which when opened revealed an etched glass waterfall fountain. Beyond lay our home for the next 5 weeks, Villa Semua Suka. Just behind the fountain is a perfectly proportioned swimming pool with the main house on the left and down a few steps directly to the right of the gate the bungalow, each in its own garden. The gardens are thoughtfully landscaped overflowing with the verdant vegetation of Bali both flowers and foliage -- All lovingly cared for by a very talented gardener who also manages the pool water daily so it never has any odor and stays crystal clear. Although the garden around the house and in front of the Bungalow manages to look natural, there is never a leaf out of place. Two large lily/lotus ponds reside in front of the bungalow, one full of active koi who love to be fed and the other housing an enormous catfish. Graceful Lotuses rise regularly from the upper pond and bloom gloriously to be seen from the front terrace of the main house and the bungalow. Not to be outdone, the main house has a small koi pond between the living room terrace and the master bedroom terrace with a small fountain. The large living room-dinning room-kitchen is comfortable and spacious for easy living with large windows-french doors all around. The furniture is comfortable to sit and lie on while the beds are new and very good. Go to TripAdvisor for more.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is a beautiful villa to stay in! We stayed for a week with 3 young kids and it was just right for rest and relaxation! It was an easy 20 minute walk in town and just a 5 minute walk to the big supermarket. We enjoyed the breakfast served every morning, it was a perfect start to our day! The gardens were beautiful and well maintained and we loved the views of the rice fields. The only negative was having the housemaid present all the time and asking us every morning where are we going and what we are doing... there are somedays when you just want to relax. I think she preferred to have the house to herself without guests present all day. Overall a great choice for Ubud!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Just stayed at Villa Semua Suka for 2 weeks. Rented both the large 2 storey house as well as the bungalow. There were six in my family and our grandson. We had a great time visiting museums, eating out every night, and lounging by the pool during the day. Made made us some wonderful breakfasts. My favorite was her vanilla french toast with fruit salad. Everything was brand spanking new! The Villa had just been completed to Western standards. Every comfort and convenience has been thought of. The house was in a neighborhood of ex-pats and Balinese. Our grandson got to play with the child next door and even learned some Balinese words. It was the best and most stressless vacation I've ever experience. All our need and desires were met. We'll tell all our friends and family about Villa Semua Suka and hope to come back again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: We have been traveling to Bali for many years, and have owned a house on the NorthShore since 2004. Last year when we retired, we realized that we could no longer afford to live in the States. The rents were high, the economy low, and the politics sucked! So... we decided to move to Bali full time and to build near Ubud, the cultural heart of the island. We started building in Oct of 2010...and low and behold, were finished 6 months later. Everyone was amazed at how quickly we had completed our project. We now have 2 houses in Penestanan to help fund our retirement. Both of them are for rent...and when everything is full...we travel off to other lands. We have put a lot of care and attention into building our houses and make them as comfortable as possible, while retaining a Balinese aesthetic. Our hope is that others will appreciate them and feel the same way that we do. Enjoy! Barbara & Henry
