One of the original 1920's waterfront cottages located on the beach town community of Birch Bay. Expansive view of the water plus the San Juan & Gulf Islands. Charm abounds in this remodeled 1 bedroom plus den home which has been remodeled but maintains most of its original character. The bedroom has a full size bed and the den has a futon couch. Beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed from the wraparound deck. Beach fires on the beach in front of the house are a favorite.
The Birch Bay community is a fabulous place to enjoy many activities or just the slow pace of the beach lifestyle. A beautiful place to for beachcombing, clamming, flying kites, swimming, kayaking and miles of country roads for bicycling.
If you want to a cosmopolitan experience for part of your visit head to Vancouver, Canada. Birch Bay is only 15 minutes from the Canadian Border. Lots of shopping can be found at Bellis Fair Mall in Bellingham...just 20 minutes away. If you want to go hiking we are only about 55 miles to Mt. Baker ski area and fabulous trails.
