Take a walk through the La Giulia apartment by viewing the video.
The La Giulia Rome apartment is located on a charming, small street just off Via Giulia in a 17th century building. Perfect for visitors who want the conveniences of an apartment in Rome in the historic center with all major sites within walking distance.
For additional information see the URL below for our website.
La Giulia is on the second floor (first floor European) and is entered directly off the lobby of the building. Once inside the apartment’s front door, walk one flight up a wrought iron spiral staircase and you are in the apartment. It is a comfortable studio apartment that is in an excellent location right in the center of this elegant, exciting neighborhood.
As you step into the apartment from the staircase, the living room seating area is to your left, in front of a set of beautiful windows facing over the street. Behind the living area, to your left, is the sleeping alcove. Another set of windows is directly in front of you as you, just opposite the top of the stairs. To your right is the dining area. Just behind you, to the right, is the kitchen and the bathroom.
The windows have picturesque flower boxes planted with seasonal flowers and look out onto the charming street, letting light and air into the apartment. They are set into dramatic arched niches adding an historic architectural element to the apartment. The floors are beautiful polished terra-cotta tiles.
The apartment was renovated in late 2009 and is tastefully furnished with a neutral palette of whites, cream and red accent pieces in the living room area and a modern dining table with seating for four people. It has a large, stunning, stone fireplace mantle surrounding a (non-working) fireplace between the dining area and the bathroom.
The living room seating area has a comfortable love seat sofa upholstered in white. (Note, the sofa does NOT open into a sleeper sofa.) The queen-size bed in the sleeping alcove has suspended lamps on either side of the bed for reading. Cheerful linens and a soft duvet beckon for an afternoon siesta after a busy day of exploring the enchantments of Rome. The ceiling above the bed has beautiful exposed beams and stucco. At the foot of the bed is a freestanding closet and storage area.
The kitchen is a small efficiency-style, hidden behind folding louvered doors. You can fix breakfast or toss together a simple dinner from the fresh ingredients obtained that morning at the Campo de’ Fiori market only a stone’s throw away. It has a three-burner gas cook top, an under-the-counter refrigerator, a sink and a microwave. The kitchen comes with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Along the wall just before the kitchen area is a sleek buffet cabinet that holds serving pieces.
The bathroom is small, but is completely up-to-date with the latest fixtures and a fully enclosed shower.
About the Location:
The Campo de’ Fiori is the neighborhood of Renaissance Rome where the power mongers built their palaces, such as Palazzo Farnese and Palazzo Spada. We know the importance of location, location, location, and this part of Rome qualifies as one of the best due to its proximity to the major sites and the everyday conveniences of local restaurants, pizzerias, cafes, and the Campo de’ Fiori market.
Step out the door and choose between elegant antique shops and art galleries to your right, only half a block away on Via Giulia . Or walk two blocks to your left and select from the freshest produce for tonight’s dinner at Rome’s most famous open air market, the Campo de’ Fiori, meaning "field of flowers".
Soak up the morning sunshine and enjoy an espresso at Caffe Farnese café just around the corner. Or stop off at the end of a full day and enjoy an afternoon gelato or an early evening aperitif. After picking up some fresh fruit or a savory seasoning mix to enhance your pasta sauce from one of the colorful stalls in Campo de’ Fiori, stop into Roscioli, a deli famous for prosciutto, mortadella, salami, cheese, and olives.
Via Giulia is a beautiful street for strolling, window-shopping and people watching, as are Piazza Farnese and Campo de’ Fiori. Many of the streets are named for the merchants that once populated the area: Via del Giubbonari - the jacket makers, Via della Barchetta - the boat builders, Via degli Specchi - street of mirrors.
Only a few minutes walk and you’re at Piazza Navona or the Pantheon. Cross the Tiber and you’re in scenic Trastevere. The Vatican, the Colosseum, the Forum, the Spanish Steps are reasonable walk if you want to work off that pasta and wine from the night before. If your feet are crying for mercy, they are an easy bus or cab ride. Just a few blocks away is Largo Argentina, one of the major bus stops where there is bus transportation available all over the city.

This was our third stay in La Guilia. It really feels like home. With the improvements, the new shower and air conditioner it was even better. The location is just perfect, we walked to all the sites from here. Campo diFiore is just wonderful for fresh fruits and veggies every day. DaBufetto is great for pizza. Alfredo e Ada is the best Restaurant we have been to. Via Banchi Nuovi 14, closed weekends. it is near S Angelo Bridge. Trastevere is a five minute walk, lot's of sights and good food. Piazza Navona, 10 minute walk for nightly entertainment and gelotto. This is a great location to just savor Rome and to be part of the experience, rather than just a tourist.

Italy Perfect's customer service is amazing. Lisa and team are the ideal company to rent an apartment from. They were prompt, clear and focused on providing me with excellent service. They have a nice inventory of apartments to choose from no matter your travel budget. I loved La Guilia because of the location (centrally located, safe, clean, quiet neighborhood). It is one of their smaller apartments but it was perfect for my 11 year old and I. We met several of our neighbors and local business people who were always cordial. Within a 5 minute walk, you have the most amazing restaurants to choose from (Pierluigi was our favorite, recommended by many locals and is only a 1 minute walk). Staying in the La Guilia apartment added to the charm of our Rome adventure.

We enjoyed the super location, cozy studio/one bedroom, many inexpensive restaurants nearby (good food cheap). We'd stay there again when we return and recommend it highly.

This is an excellent studio apartment. The best aspect is the location - 2 minutes stroll to Campo del Fiori with its daytime market and its restaurants and bars. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

La Giulia is a comfortable little nest located in a charming 15-16th century part of Rome. I loved the neighborhood with Campo de Fiori so close by, and made the Campo a part of every day, whether it be for coffee, wine in the evening, or shopping for fresh produce and pasta. I would definitely recommend La Giulia to a friend. It is quite small, and very cozy, but perhaps too small for two large people. Absolutely perfect for one person. I hope to stay there again.

My weeklong stay at La Giulia couldn't have been better. The apartment is cozy and quiet, and is a relaxing retreat from a busy day out and about beautiful Rome. The location couldn't be better, just steps away from lovely Piazza Farnese and Campo dei Fiori, both perfect for people watching over a coffee or glass of wine. Italy Perfect staff were helpful and professional. I especially appreciated the materials they sent prior to departure.

La Giulia is in the best location -- 2 blocks from Campo de Fiori and close to old Rome, etc. Buses are only a few blocks away. The apartment is so quiet we didn't wake up until noon one day. Check the steps carefully. We didn't have a problem, but it is a small area and a small climb up to the apartment.

The accommodations looked exactly like the photos on line. We loved coming "home" to our own place after a vigorous day of being out and about in Rome. We shopped each day for fresh produce, fruits and meat at the Compo di Fiori outdoor market and spent our cozy winter evenings cooking and enjoying this great apartment. The location was ideal for walking to sights, and bus and tram transportation. We would definitely stay at La Giulia again and would also recommend our friends to do so, if staying in Rome. Thank you for making it available to us. Nancy and Keith Mietz, Healdsburg, CA

Rome is one of my favorite cities in the world. This was my third trip to Rome so I knew the area where I wanted to stay. The little La Giulia apartment was in a perfect location, near the Tiber River and also very near the Chiesa Nuova bus stop on Corso Vittorio Emanuelle II. It was easy to hop on bus #40 to Termini and take a train to another town for a day trip, or hop on bus #64 to easily go to many attractions in Rome. Of course, walking in Rome is the best, and La Giulia provides an excellent starting point. As for the apartment itself, the extremely hot water from the hot water faucets (Do water heaters in Rome have temperature settings?) had to be regulated carefully. But generally, the apartment was fine for my husband and me, and we enjoyed our stay there. I certainly plan to call on Italy Perfect and Paris Perfect again in the future. We appreciate the great service. Aldis A. Donald, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama
