'Casa Bella~Tranquila' - a place of comfort and retreat---is siituated on a 14 acre panoramic hilltop where the majority of the land is left in its natural state; your private country estate offers an ideal getaway to relax with your family. San Diego's main attractions are less than an hour away. Distances: San Diego International Airport - 44 miles; Wild Animal Park/Safari -12 miles; Carlsbad Beach - 28 miles; Seaworld- 42 miles; Legoland -31 miles; nearest golf course is 2.2 miles away. Southern CA main attractions are less than 2 hours drive: Disneyland / 86 miles. Take time to smell the roses, exotic plumerias, and pikakes on the estate's several gardens; watch birds in flight as they traverse across the sky; hike the property where you will see wild oaks, toyon, manzanita, and various birds ; stargaze under the canopy of the heavens and watch shooting stars flit across the night sky; and SWIM in a 45 FT BY 55 FT INFINITY SALT WATER POOL. with 30 ft WATER SLIDE, waterfall, and a JETTED JACUZZI. As you approach your private estate, you will first drive through a quiet oak-lined road. You will come to a gated neighborhood of 10 homes. You will drive up 460 feet of private curved driveway. Finally you have arrived: your hilltop estate with majestic views calls you to come home-sweet vacation home!
The walk to your front door is aligned with fragrant tropical plants and trees.

About Valley Center:
There are currently two major casinos in the vicinity of Valley Center—Harrah's Rincon and Valley View; The town has claim to several well known movie/TV personalities to have lived here: John Wayne, Gary Cooper, Fred Astaire, Randolph Scott, Steve Reeves and the husband-and-wife team of June Allyson and Dick Powell all lived for a time in Valley Center.
Lake Wohlford and Lake Dixon are within 10 to 15 minutes drive from your vacation home. You can go fishing, boating, biking/mountain biking, and hiking. Not far from your home is Hell Hole Canyon, a nature preserve where you can hike and experience and view California's native plants and many wildlife.
Once a year, practically the whole town participates in 'Western Days'. This event is traditionally held over the Memorial Day weekend and consists of a community parade, a gathering at the Valley Center Community Center and a rodeo. Another site of interest is The Lavender Fields at Keys Creek Lavender Farm. This USDA Certified Organic Lavender Farm features an on site essential oil distillery, a lavender labyrinth, a farm store/gift shop. During the FALL, Bates Nut Farm becomes the PUMPKIN capital of San Diego County.

We just had a "Girls" weekend with 7 of us. The property is really, really lovely! The view from the pool and jacuzzi is just fantastic. The pool with the slide is soooo much fun! The backyard and house are large enough to host our 7, plus more if we had wanted, without being crowded or in each other's space. Everyone had somewhere they could hang out if they wanted some alone time to read or nap. But, there were also great spaces to gather everyone around, outside at the large patio table, around the kitchen island and in the living room to watch a movie. I can't say enough kind words about Prima and Joel. They are the perfect hosts. They made us feel welcome and explained everything so we knew how to operate everything correctly. They really did make us feel at home. We really had a wonderful time and will be booking again soon!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Bella! The home was beautiful! We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay plus lots of extras such as videos, toiletries, Easter treats, toys, etc. The grounds were phenomenal! The pool and spa were great. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and fireplace as well.. It is also a working farm so we had fun picking fresh oranges and lettuce. Although this home would be great for any age, it was perfect for kids. They had outdoor riding toys, pool toys, a play house, swing set, water slide, etc. The owner even gave my boys a toy so they could explore even more. Casa Bella is a great place to play and a great place to relax!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing.

Great house, great pool, great vacation. The location is quite private. It's great for a relaxing vacation and spacious enough for a family getaway. I was very happy with the property, the amenities and the professional attitude of the owners. The pictures give a very good impression of the property, if you like the pictures, you'll like the property.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, families with teenagers.

Our circle of 7 neighborhood friends just enjoyed our 9th year of renting a luxury home in Southern California for our annual getaways. This property was yet another amazing one!!! The pool is even more beautiful in person, as is the view. The home was immaculate and well-supplied for all our comforts. The kitchen is excellent for preparing group meals and the couches fit all of us for late-night movie-watching. With an eye toward kid- and eco-friendly renting, the owners are very conservative about energy use, access to controls, temperature and safety precautions. They were very accessible in case any need arose and offered their home generously for our trip. Wonderful people and an excellent stay for a group of women to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect. We had been looking forward to our stay and we were not disappointed. We were impressed by the facilities, the quality of the furniture and the attention to detail in all aspects. Our tours took us to many of the highlights of California, but we were always very pleased to return to the comfort of the property and of course the wonderful pool...very welcome as our visit coincided with a heat wave. The owners were very warm in their welcome and outstanding in their generosity in allowing us to stay in their lovely home. This was our first time to stay at a place from VRBO. We were not disappointed. It was a lovely home. The rooms were as promised. The beds were in good shape. It was easy to sleep. The view was beautiful. The ability to cook on the outside grill helped to keep costs down for a large group. We were able to have good meals without the restaurant prices. We had ages from 3 months to 83 years. All seemed to have a good time. Thank you.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.

We recently stayed for a week at this beautiful home. We had four kids and six adults and the home was definitely big enough and had enough bedrooms and bathrooms to make everyone completely comfortable. The backyard is incredible and where we spent a good portion of our vacation. The backyard is a mini resort in itself thanks to the hilltop view, the large clean pool, and waterslide. If you have kids, you will definitely have a hard time getting them out of this pool! The home itself was immaculate and very well taken care of. It's obvious the owners take great pride in their home. We had totat privacy as the home sits on top of it's own hill on several acres of land. It was close enough to all the major attractions in San Diego that we wanted to see, and yet far enough away from the busy city to give us the privacy and country feel we were looking for. Would recommend this home to anyone!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, sightseeing.

We attended a family wedding in nearby Fallbrook and 11 of us stayed at Casa Bella. What a treat ! We've never experienced a more beautiful, luxurious home. There was plenty of rooms/beds for everyone. The spacious kitchen and family room was our indoor hangout. The gorgeous pool, with its spectacular view, was where we spent every sunny minute. Joel and Prima were very welcoming on the first day, giving us the royal tour. We felt relaxed, at-home, and so comfortable the entire time we stayed. It's right next door to Escondido for shopping and close to San Diego for tourist attractions. We highly recommend this house !Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

You have to see it, to believe it and believe me....This place is all that AND more!....The most important aspect of renting this house is getting to know the owners!....People with true heart do NOT come along that often but Prima and Joel definitely have TRUE HEART and family values!....We enjoyed the home as if it was ours...From the moment we pulled up the driveway we just knew we were "Home Sweet Home".....A clean, complete with everything you need, place to relax and be "Tranquil"....Thanks again SO much Prima and Joel for opening your Hearts as well as your Home!....We will definitely be back!!.......Love Bonny and the rest of the Moore gang!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

About the owner: We have traveled wide and far through-out the world and we now plan on staying more than a week at a time in places we have yet to explore or perhaps to return to some of our favorite places that we've visited.
Why the Owner Chose Valley Center:
Valley Center is a special place in San Diego County, tucked away up on the hills where we breathe a sigh of relief the moment we drive up the grade on Valley Center Road. We have wide spaces between the houses. many are on 2 acres and up. Avocados, citrus and ornamental plants are grown in parts of our town. Here, we can be as private as we wish to be and/or we can be small town folks where the neighbors wave as we hike the hilly streets with fabulous views of /and around our neighborhood.
Valley Center has an equestrian trail where you need not dismount if you were to cross the street while riding your horse--the street lights have push buttons at horse's height.
The movie stars who used to ride their horses around Valley Center such as John Wayne and many others would have approved on how beautiful the town turned out to be.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
The salt water pool / slide of course had given us great enjoyment for our family and our 5 grand children during the summer months. The views are outstanding from both front and back of the house. To observe the numerous birds that fly above and those that roam around the property is seeing nature at its best; for example we have a resident road runner (bird) that claims the back yard as his territory. We often see hawks hover overhead in search of prey. Valley Center has few street lights so on clear moonless nights, we could see the stars with more clarity.
We have fresh clean air to breath.
The people of Valley Center are friendly and many are community oriented.
