  At the end of a bumpy dirt road is this gorgeous house with a jaw dropping view on a beautiful almost private beach! We were there from Monday to Friday and had the beach mostly to ourselves. The waves were great for body surfing! Our boys tried surfing with rented boards but the waves broke pretty close to shore so they had a difficult time with the boards. The dog Tepiz was our boys faithful companion the whole time we were there. The Scarlet Parrots, Lucy and Ricky were lovely to watch while I washed dishes and Panchita, the capuchin monkey was adorable! It was so wonderful for my husband and I to just chill on the back patio in the hammock, watch the waves, take walks on the beach and eat delicious fish and chicken tacos from the snack bar on the beach. The boys were so happy they could come and go as they pleased to the beach. Of course they are 20 and 19. Also the house has wi-fi so they were perfectly happy to go nowhere! Be sure to stop at the grocery store Pali before going to the house. It's on the way and once you get to Casa Marbella you won't want to leave, so stop before you arrive! We went into San Juan del Sur to rent a surfboard and pick up pizza one night from Mauricio's Pizza! That's it! Didn't want to leave the house! If you want to be busy, busy, busy, stay somewhere else. If you want to relax, then this is the place! The Master bedroom has three screened windows that allow you to sleep to the sound of the ocean and lovely breezes! The boys had to use their air conditioners or take turns sleeping on the patio in the hammock if they wanted to sleep to the sound of the ocean. We hope to return with friends in the future and have recommended Casa Marbella to our friends who wan to Chill!

  This home was truly amazing. The owners were available for questions any time and the housekeepers, Flor and Frank were so fantastic. Flor was like my dear Mama who took care of our every need and Frank made sure we felt loved, safe and sound. The house dog Te Pe' was a dear friend the whole time we were there. He never came in the house and I am not usually a big fan of dogs but he stole my heart early on. He fetches rocks! He will dive into the surf and come up with the rock you threw and wait patiently for you to throw another. Everything about this house was first class. The view of the ocean from the veranda, the sound of the surf at night, and Flor quietly making sure that your every need is met...sublime. The beach is truly yours for most of the day. Sometimes there will be a small group of folks come in for surf lessons between 11 and 3. The surf there is the best ever for beginners. There is no undercurrent or riptides there and the waves are so nice! Yesne" owns the taco stand on the beach. I just started a tab and he cooked the best fish tacos, pina colada'a and fed us Tona's (the local beer) all day long. It was great because we could sit right on the beach and watch the surf and the sunsets every night. San Juan Del Sur is a 20 minute cab ride away. It was fun to go to town to shop and pick up supplies, book fishing trips and try a new restaurant. I really felt like I had my own private beach the whole time with super classy accommodations. This is the place to be. Look no further. Thank you Flor, Frank and especially Roland for the most beautiful time of my life!

  We had an excellent time. The house was perfect. Panchita the monkey was a welcome attraction to our 7 year old daughter. Waking to the sounds of the waves crashing was perfect. We had the entire beach to ourselves until 11am each day when the locals from SJDS would show up with their surf classes. They would typically leave at 4pm and then the beach would be ours again. When the tide is out, the waves were perfect rollers for our bodyboarding daughter. She had a blast. When the tide is in, the waves were also perfect for surfing. Flor and Frank were excellent hosts and they make excellent food. Highly recommend spending the money to have them cook/clean for you. Clothes were washed, line dried and folded neatly. They have a very friendly dog "Duke" that loves to go for walks. Would definitely sign up again to stay at this rental. Perfect in every way.

  The house was what expected and more. It is a beautiful home, very clean, every bedroom has it's own bathroom, air conditioned. The best part is that it is right on the beach, It is a great beach, very clean and very few people. Also there was a great sunset every night. Highly recommended. Planning to visit again soon!

  My girlfriends and I stayed at this house for a "girls" surf trip in November of 2011! What a wonderful house right on the beach! Very safe, secure and clean. The house is beautiful and HUGE with 4 bedrooms each having their own full bathroom. Perfect for large families or parties traveling together. You could even have a small wedding there! Fran and Flor, the caretakers are a delightful couple and can help make your stay very comfortable. They are always there to help and are great for practicing your spanish. Thanks so much for taking such care of me and my girlfriends during our stay...the memories will be ever lifelong! Hope to stay again soon. By the way...the house even has free long distance to the states, duh, it's a no brainer!!!

  Beautiful home, very clean, modern, every bedroom has it's own bathroom, air conditioned and back up generator. Great place for relaxing or for adventure. Steps from the beach, great for early morning walks or surfing, very close to town where there are many great restaurants and other beach activities. For a minimal fee can stay in and the staff will cook delicious Nicaraguan dishes. Go to the terrace, have a drink, watch the beautiful sunset. Doesn't get any better than this!

  We just got back from staying 12 days in this beautiful home and can’t stop thinking and talking about the fun we had. Every morning we took walks exploring the beach and reefs that are just steps away from the back gate. We had the entire beach to ourselves until around noon when a couple of trucks would finally show up with students ready to learn how to surf. The house itself is spacious and tastefully decorated, making it a relaxing retreat from the afternoon sun, an impressive place to entertain dinner guests, and perfect for listening to the ocean in the evenings out on the veranda. The bumpy 15 min. ride into San Juan del Sur manages to keep this beach peaceful and semi-private, letting you feel like you’re really getting away from the hustle of San Juan del Sur. I’m a beach girl who grew up in Hawaii and I can honestly say that El Remanso is an ideal beach for swimming and body surfing. I love the spirit, warmth, and generosity of the people in San Juan del Sur and plan to bring all of my friends here next year.

  We just came back from Nicaragua and we rented this gorgeous beach house.The house is very spacious and comfortable. Beautiful view of the ocean, great place to go for a walk at night or even in the daytime.You have stores and restaurants minutes away, fully equiped kitchen,bedrooms, etc. Man!!!!!!! If i had enough room to explain it all. My kids not only had a blast swimming, but they enjoyed having their own room. We recommend anyone that is headed down to San Juan Del Sur to strongly think about staying here.. A full house at a reasonable price ( comparing to hotel prices that aren't even the size of the master room ) and in front of an almost private beach.... Can't wait to go back........ Well worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I rented this property back in 2007 and 2008. It was indeed of the best place I have rented in San Juan del Sur especially for the rental amt.. 8 of us went and we all slept very comfortable. The ocean beach is steps from the back patio of the home. Air conditioning through out the house which makes it pleasant and back up generator so we had no problems what so ever..Very secure and safe place. I am planning to go back next year. I hope this property is available then. I have recommended this property to friends and family. Very friendly owners.

  The first time I went was breathtaking, the house is beautiful and the fact that all the ammenities are modern made it feel like home although some of us may not want to cook while on vacation the gourmet kitchen makes up for it and really you would want to entertain. The staff is wonderful and always there to help. What I like about this place that you literally can step off the terrace and you are on the beach, the view is outstanding, the sunset is the best and at night you can hear the waves from the bedroom and when the moon is shining it is wonderful just to sit there, have a tropical drink, listen to music and with the moonlight shining on the water you have the best relaxing vacation, forget the phones and TV as this is the best way to relax. The house is very spacious and each bedroom as it's own bathroom so if you are with a group of people you still have your own privacy. I have been there not once or twice but three times and have had the most relaxing vacation ever, I do intend to go back as I just fell in love with the house and the location and I know I can relax as I am not fight all the hustle & bustle of crowded places. Also you are only 15-20 minutes away from town so you are very close to restaurants that have waterfront view that are very outstanding, I really love this place and as I said I will be back. PS great town for surfers.
