"We had a wonderful time at the Mad Hatteras! The water views were exquisite! The house had everything we needed. The beach was wide and clean. Roasting marshmellows over the fire on the beach was an added fun experience. We will definitely come back soon!Recommended for: Pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

spent the week here. Wonderful accomodations. The place was clean and we enjoyed the hot pool on days we didn't go to the beach. We enjoyed exploring the area and the shops. What a Week!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

This vacation home is beautiful. It is the perfect location (near all the shops and right by the beach!) The neighbors are very friendly and were pleasant to be around all week. My friends and I had a great time laying out on the decks, looking at the ocean and spending time in the hot tub. The front lawn was spacious and big enough for all of our games. We had perfect weather all week and took advantage of being so close to the beach. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation home for spring break. It was a very relaxing week (just what we needed- a break from school work). Also, the owner, Bonnie, was extremely helpful along the way. I couldn't have asked for more. I will definitely recommend this home to everyone I know, and I myself will be coming back! I'm missing it already!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Our family spent a week during the month of May 2010 and had a wonderful time! The home is beautiful with all the amenties for a great vacation. And within walking distance to the Atlantic. The pool and hot tub were very well maintained and we enjoyed spending time in both. We are already making plans to return next year....Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

About the owner: We love this beach house and enjoy sharing it with all of our rentors. We have tried to include everything to make everyone's stay perfect. We think is has everything, but are always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Why the Owner Chose Rodanthe:
We chose this spot because of the special location. It is in a non-comercial and never crowded in the highest season. We love to build a fire on the beach and roast marshmallows at dusk. Quiet but not isolated, there are plenty of nearby activities plus, the pristeen beach is perfect with the pier right there to enjoy fising or watching the 'catch of the day' !
The house is less than a 3 minute walk from the beach with no dunes to climb.. Perfect getaway to relax, but lots of attractions within walking distance too.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The neighbors are great. The views are amazing. The house is decorated and well appointed. Easy walk to the beach and lots of space where you can relax, even with a full house, you will NEVER feel crowded. There is a generous grassy back and front yard in which to play. If the ocean's not kid friendly one day, the pool is the perfect solution! Fun, Fun!
