Nineteen of us (8 children, ranging in age from 15 months to 16 years and 11 adults) recently stayed here for a lovely and relaxing family vacation. It was very quiet, with only a few boaters and jet skis around. Our morning walks on the beach were great, as it was virtually deserted. The house was so spacious we never felt crowded. We enjoyed gathering every night on the decks to watch the sunset, and then going in to hang out in the living/dining room to play games and chat. The house was so big that those who went to bed early weren't disturbed by the laughter on the main floor. There was a bike/running trail very close to the house, which was quite handy. The house was very clean, and I'd recommend this house to anyone and everyone! The only disappointment we had was that the house wasn't 100% perfect for someone in a wheelchair (I chose this house because it was handicapped accessible). The main floor bedroom was perfect for my mother-in-law, but the bathroom door wasn't quite wide enough for her wheelchair: she had to use her crutches to get in and out of the bathroom. The shower wasn't one you could wheel a wheelchair into, as it had a lip to step over. However, she had no problems getting in the house, or wheeling around the bedroom, kitchen, and living room. We even managed to get her down to one of the decks.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

We are pleased to let you know that we had a terrific week at the lake! We all had fun introducing the kitchen faucet to each of the kids as they arrived. Even the rainy Wednesday did not dampen the spirits. On Friday,we took some time to revisit big red and windmill island. Everyone got home safely and pretty much on time. The lake home was absolutely wonderful. You should be proud of your Legacy! Thanks,Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We spent a wonderful week at the Legacy Home for our annual family reunion over the 4th of July week! The beach, decks and views from the house are AMAZING!! The kids spent countless hours on the beach and in the water...the sand was so nice and the water was warm! The house is very well equipped and maintained...new furniture in the family room looking out on Lake Michigan was particularly nice. The house is perfect for large or multiple families due to its layout with four bedrooms and two baths upstairs, a master on the first floor and two bedrooms in the basement with two queens in each. We had 20 people in our group (10 adults and 10 kids) and never felt cramped for space. There is an air hockey table and foosball table in the great room in the basement which was a nice alternative when the kids got tired of the sun. There is also a nice lawn area between the house and the decks overlooking the water which the kids used to play wiffle ball every afternoon and evening. Lots to do in Holland/Saugatuck/Grand Haven/Grand Rapids too. Mike is great to work with on the renting of the house too. He gave us a lot of the history of their family and the house. Thanks for sharing your great vacation home with us and we will be back soon!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
