* Two bedrooms – one with Queen-sized bed, one with two twins and one Queen sofa bed in the living room. Bedrooms have roomy built-ins original in this vintage 1930's home built by a respected local builder called 'the Colonel.'
* One bathroom with tub/shower, all new tile floor to ceiling, beautifully accented.
* Fully-equipped kitchen/dining area with all new cabinets, floor and appliances.
* Living room with all new sleeper sofa, TV, DVD player, beautifully refinished hardwood floors.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this cottage. It has been beautifully renovated and decorated. Faye was very friendly and helpful.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My son and I found the charming house to e a perfect fit. This was a great vacation in Silver City. Within minutes to shops, grocery stores, hospital, university, gym and senior center and so much more! The location is pleasant and the birds each morning chirping and seen nearly every day - we also enjoyed the rock patio. Finding trails to walk and even a hot springs for a soak. Now seeing the city blooming with beautiful trees! We have taken photos of the house and the various places. Everything was great for us. We hiked/biked almost every day and spent lots of time in downtown Silver City. Your house is lovely. Comfortable bed, easy to cook here and loved the luxury of doing our laundry. No wasted time! We accidentally broke one wine glass...we hope to be back again! We spent a week here and loved it. The house is very comfortable, nice furnishings, VERY clean, a well-appointed kitchen and some very thoughtful touches - coffee and cream, bread and butter, the important spices and condiments. We loved not having to shop for everything like toilet paper and garbage bags as we have at some other vacation rentals. The owners are very kind, helpful and willing to go a bit beyond....We had a great time in a funky town and always came back to a cozy little house that had everything we needed!Did you find this review helpful? This is a great little cozy get away. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood yet close to the downtown Silver City area, grocery shopping, restaurants, and other amenities . I like to cook and the kitchen was very clean and very well equipped, with a good usable layout and design. Even though it is located in what you could call a typical neighborhood, it felt private as if it were in a remote setting. It is very well maintained and felt very comfortable to be in. It was way more than I expected for the price. I think it would most likely suit the needs of just about anyone. I was alone, but I think 4 or 5 people would be quite comfortable. The owner was helpful, honest and up front with her information and communication. She was also quite prompt with replies to all of my inquires. I spent a few days traveling around the area and a few days just hanging out around the house. It was quite pleasant.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

My wife and I stayed at the cottage for 3 nights starting 9/14/12. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and fresh loaf of bread. The pictures do not do it justice (Faye, next time I should bring my studio lighting and fix this)(: The cottage is immaculate and looks like it was just remodeled. Natural light is plentiful, the beds are comfortable and the NM decor is warm and inviting. Two or more couples could stay her comfortably with a queen bed, two twins and a fold-out couch. The flat screen TV, Blueray player and new gas grill are nice touches. The location is central to everything, whether you are headed downtown, need to pick up groceries at Albertson's/Walmart or one of the health food stores, or are going on into the Gila. You CAN walk downtown, but it probably takes about 10 minutes. We found that it made more sense to drive, with ample free parking downtown and plenty of walking to do once you are there. The cottage is VERY quiet. Faye is a great resource and was very helpful in answering all of our questions about Silver City and the surrounding area. We loved the cottage and will stay there again on our next visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I stayed at this beautiful vacation home for the Tour of the Gila with a friend. The house was very comfortable, nicely decorated, and well stocked with the basic necessities. The owners were great to work with, and we will definitely be back next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car.
