This was an amazine house to stay in. The bedrooms have lots of seperations of space, the bedding is comfy and warm, the views are astounding and the hottub tops it off. We enjoyed the bikes, with the helmets, and the ping pong in the garage. The living rooms are large enough to accomodate a very large family and the kitchen has all of the comforts of home. There are actually two sets of washer/dryers in this home which is great if you have kids. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Eagle Crest home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The Bitterbrush Ct home was a perfect fit for our vacation getaway. The home is nestled on a hillside on a private court. It's spacious layout and breathtaking views were enjoyed by all. There's a pond / waterfall on the side of the home. We enjoyed quiet moments sitting on the patio balcony soaking in the scenery and listening to the waterfall. The kitchen is equipped with the necessary items to cook a meal. The house is tastefully decorated with beautiful artwork and all the bedrooms are spacious. The morning of our departure, we woke up to find 9 deer in the front of the home eating from the bushes. The children were in awe and it was a perfect way to end our weeklong adventure. We look forward to our rental in 2014!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This vacation rental has the most amazing views and provided more than enough space for our family to enjoy. It's close to walking trails and offers a nice little hill to hike up by simply stepping out the front door. The home owners were such a pleasure to work with from start to finish--we have already submitted for our 2014 vacation rental dates!Owner response: Thank you for staying with us! We are so glad that we were able to share our home with you and your family! We really love the views from the house and have hiked Cline butte many times. We really love the size of the house and always feel like everyone has enough space. Thanks again!

We enjoyed this home very much with a group of 12 people! There was plenty of room for all of us. Open floor plan, comfortable beds, large accommodating kitchen, and beautiful views! We would definitely stay here againOwner response: Thank you again for renting with us at Eagle Crest Retreat! We are so glad that you enjoyed the home and had a great vacation. This home was perfect for our family! Even though there were only 5 of us, we used every bit of it. We had people come over for bbq's, our kids had friends come over for movie night & ping pong, we rode the bikes, sat in the jacuzzi, used the jacuzzi bath, etc... The downstairs was an added bonus with the additional cabinets, counter top & mini fridge. It is beautifully decorated & the kitchen is wonderful with the long bar & view of the mountains. The home was so inviting when we arrived. It was very clean & there was plenty of paper products so we didn't have to go out & buy them right away. I would highly recommend this home & hope to rent it again. :)Owner response: We are glad that you enjoyed our house so much! We love sharing our home and are glad that you were able to use the whole house even though you had a small group. Thank you for renting with us and posting your review. Please remember us the next time you are in the Bend/Redmond area. Thanks, Scott & Melody Gibson

This is an absolutely beautiful home with all of the amenities you could wish for. It is clean, comfortable, elegant, and spacious. We had a mini family reunion, with 3 couples, 3 kids, and 2 dogs. The private and common space combination was perfect! The kids enjoyed all the Eagle Crest amenities, from the pools to the water park to the horses and hiking. There was also a wonderful assortment of bikes at the house for our use. It would be an understatement to say that this owner is pleasant and easy to work with! What a wonderful lady who clearly enjoys sharing her beautiful home with others. I will absolutely recommend this home to any friend or family member traveling to this area. You cannot go wrong with the quality of this home for the very reasonable price. We have rented many homes, and this one stands out in our minds as the best. We will be back!Owner response: We are so glad that you enjoyed our home! It is great that you took advantage of the Eagle Crest amenities! We absolutely love the size of this house! It is big enough to give everyone their own space, but not too big to feel lost. We thank you for recommending our home and can't wait to have you back!

Every other year our family gets together to spend a weekend in Central Oregon, and this was a perfect home for us. Everything is exactly as pictured or better! The kitchen was well stocked and spacious enough for us to prepare all our meals. We ate most of our meals on the wonderful deck in the comfortable outdoor furniture. We stayed in the downstairs master, which was very comfortable. My parents were able to stay in the upstairs master, so they didn't have to negotiate stairs unless they wanted to see what was going on downstairs. There were five children with us, and the downstairs living room was a great place for them to hang out and give the adults a little peace and quiet during the day. The owner was very easy to work with, and we received our deposit back without delay. Overall - fantastic home at a very reasonable cost; a great rental experience. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so glad that this was the perfect home for you and your family! We love the spacious kitchen and spend most of our time out on the deck too! The one thing that we love most about this house is the two living spaces. Just like you we put the kids downstairs to give the adults a little peace and quite. Thank you again for renting with us! We hope to have you back.

I hate having to tell the truth, because if more people experience this place, the news is going to get out that this place is Awesome! And then they'll be no room on the schedule for me. Honestly, this home is incredible, inside and out. The Master is to die for. The kitchen is a dream. And the views? When you open the front door, you will be blown away with the view out the picture window directly in front of you. Stunning! The home offers a very private setting, with a great hiking hill immediately out the front door. What a great place for kids. Will we come back? Absolutely! That is if we can just keep others from finding out what a great place this is.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The house is very comfortable and great for large groups. The house is a bit removed from the main resort but we loved the seclusion. Lakeside sport center is very close and the kids enjoyed the pool. Lots of bikes and a ping pong table also kept them entertained. Beautiful view - very enjoyable. The only con was the house was not ready at 4 it was closer to 5. We had to wait about an hour to get in as housekeeping was still there so we went and got our passes for the sports center. The propane was not available for the barbeque till the next day and hot tub was not ready (cold) because it was just drained. The jets didn't work very well - but that could have been user error. Once we got in the house - it was very clean - just need better planning for guest arrivalsRecommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Wow! What a great place for a retreat! We loved this place more than any other we've rented for a small group retreats. We had a large group of twenty-some-year-old men and women, with my wife and me the only ones above 30. The house provided multiple sleeping areas, including the master bedroom where my wife and I could retreat at midnight and enjoy privacy while the games and laughter continued for our church group from Good Shepherd Community Church. The views were fantastic of Gray Butte and Smith Rock plus the setting was very private. The kitchen was well supplied with all the pans, bowls, cups and such needed for a group our size. The living room was great for the entire group to meet, with the basement area, dinning room, and master bedroom providing additional areas where smaller breakout groups could meet. And the gift of a calendar show-casing the owners photos was a nice touch. We will be back in the future. Thanks!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was a wonderful home to stay in! The house is beautiful and spacious. It was immaculately clean when we got there and all appliances (including the hot tub) are well-maintained. I like to cook (yes, even in my free time), so I was a fan of the well-equipped (and beautiful!) open kitchen on the first floor. The home lies on a little hill, so you have a superb view from the deck over the buttes. Loved having my coffee out there in the morning sun, looking over the desert. The house is a bit secluded from the rest of the Eagle Crest resort, as it's located in the recent addition, but we loved the quiet and everything is still within walking distance. The owners provide bikes, which is great if you don't want to take your car everywhere. Distances are short enough to get around quickly on a bike and the resort has smooth bike trails all throughout. Bring your inline skates! We're bringing ours next time for sure. There were only 5 of us, so we didn't use the house to full capacity, but I can see large groups of people having a ball there - especially with the second kitchen downstairs and the spacious living area and deck. The sky at night is just breathtaking. I don't think I've ever seen stars like that from anywhere else but the desert. The master suite & bathroom are a dream!! I now want a bed like that for my own house! Needless to say, my kids were taken with the size of the TV, although I didn't let them watch too much of it ;). Last but not least: The owners decorated their house with really nice artwork and amazing scenic photographs throughout (taken by the owner himself, it appears). Impressive work, showing off Oregon-and-beyond scenery and making you want to go out there climb Smith Rock yourself. I can only recommend this place. My family loved it and nothing bad comes to mind remembering our stay. We're grateful the owners shared this home with us and so were tons of other people (We read the guest book!). Enjoy!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We stayed in this beautiful home with 3 couples, a single, and two children. Everyone had their own bed with privacy. The bedrooms were well appointed and the beds were very comfortable, even the Murphy bed! The best thing about this wonderful home is the living area layout. The main living area is open with plenty of space for people to move around, talk, and get comfortable. The downstairs family room area is also large and comfortable. We never felt crowded and the owners have done an outstanding job decorating and taking care of this home. The outdoor deck is a great place to relax. We also spent some time playing ping pong in the large garage. Melody was wonderful to work with and she made sure our stay was perfect. Our group loved this home and is looking forward to staying again! Thank you Melody!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had such an amazing time at your home! We have a large family and appreciated all the extra bed space you have incorporated. My favorite part was the view from the deck. The privacy of your driveway was so nice for the younger bike riders. The teens enjoyed the ping pong table. We would definitely recommend the property! I would be so excited if your neighbor does decide to rent as well. Thank you again for being so accommodating.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed the weekend at this gorgeous home with three other couples. We had a fantastic time. The house was huge and very clean. It was spacious and had some great amenities. I can't say enough about the views. I have not seen that many colors in a sunset in a long time. The owners were very friendly to work with during the booking as well. I would highly recommend this home as a vacation rental. Our whole crew was very impressed and none of us wanted to leave. Thank you Melody and Scott for a wonderful time. This property completely lives up to its billing. It is luxurious, well-supplied and appointed, convenient to everything at Eagle Crest and Central Oregon and very comfortably arranged. There's something for all ages - a beautiful balcony for anyone who wants to just kick back, a cook's kitchen and grill for creating wonderful meals and lots of toys for the kids - ping pong, bikes, SCREENS (i.e. big TVs / DVD / lots of movies), Wi-fi. Absolutely wonderful. The photos of Oregon taken by Scott are unbeleivable and the hospitality and service by Melody made the planning painless. Was a wonderful home for a get together for a long weekend with 4 generations of family. Fully equipped with everything we needed. The master suite is huge and beautiful and the bedframe is a piece of art. As are the beds in each of the other rooms. All of the beds were exceptionally comfortable with pillowtops or memory foam. Nice decor and arrangement of furniture. Lovely view from the great room and backs up against open space. Large and beautiful deck overlooking the water feature. Simply a beautiful home in a beautiful place. If you come with the kids, take a hike up the hill behind till you find a fort that someone built many years ago of stumps and branches of the Juniper trees that abound here. Just head towards the peak and it is just below the fenceline. The bike trails here are so thoughtfully laid out allowing access to most of the resort. Nothing straight or boring here. The home is on a hillside so the youngest bike riders needed supervision or to be taken down to and back from the bike trails though the driveway and cul-de-sac were level enough for safe riding. The resort as a whole is unbeatable with the three recreation centers - indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs/spas, indoor and outdoor tennis, racquetball and wallyball courts, exercise equipment, water parks for the kids, three beautiful golf courses and lots more. The walk along the river is not to be missed. Saw deer, squirrels, marmots, ducks, geese, swans, jackrabbits and more. For me, just meandering through the neighborhoods and dreaming of owning a place here was as enjoyable as anything. We only wish we had had more time. Hardly worth mentioning but just to be fair and balanced, several in our group seemed surprised to find the table in the breakfast nook an underachiever among the quality furnishings in the home. We hope the owners will replace it with something a bit more solid. Otherwise a clean and lovely home in every regard. Thank you Scott and Melody for sharing your home. And for keeping the communication lines open throughout. Thank you Melissa for having everything in such good order and making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We highly recommend your home and hope to be back again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
