The Lake Placid Retreat is a quiet, convenient place for an affordable family vacation. We are just a five minute walk from Main Street and a 15 minute drive to Whiteface Mountain. At the same time we are located on a full acre of land at the end of a private road that offers considerable privacy for an in town location. Features of the property include a 1000 square foot outdoor deck, fireplace, large bay windows with mountain/forest views, king/queen size beds, free WiFi, and laundry room, The house sleeps 8. We welcome children and we frequently host family retreats. MasterCard and Visa accepted. Our prices are all inclusive. No hidden cleaning charges or taxes added at the end of your stay. We accept reservation requests year round for all seasons.

- Our home is perfect for both winter and summer vacations. In winter guests can ski Whiteface Mountain, shoot down the bobsled run, skate on any of our town's three rinks or explore many other winter Olympic venues. In summer guests can enjoy our large outdoor deck and private grounds which include apple and cherry trees, blueberry, raspberry and blackberry patches as well as beautiful flower beds and herb gardens. Though our property is secluded and private we are just a short walk to Mirror Lake, Lake Placid Lake, and all of Lake Placid's bars and restaurants.

Expect nothing less, this home away from home is warm, inviting, comfortable, well maintained, private, well equiped with everything we needed, close to everything in the village of Lake Placid and a short drive to Whiteface Ski Resort. There were full sets of towels on every bed, large bedrooms with very comfortable beds, spacious living room with a beautiful fire place and plenty of seating for everyone, a large dinning table with more than enough chairs for all, and a well equiped kitchen with everything we needed to prepare our meals. We had an amazing and pleasant experience, and didn't want to leave. We hope to return soon!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.
