Beautiful, completely updated waterfront home in the heart of Covington on the North Shore of New Orleans. Enjoy the modern and upscale interior and quiet, wooded setting on the scenic Tchefuncta River. Minutes from downtown Covington, antique shops, great restaurants and all the amenities of this popular destination. Just 40 minutes from downtown New Orleans and all the city has to offer. 2 miles from the trailhead of the Tammany Trace cycling trail.
Beautiful antique pine floors throughout with cypress beams and high ceilings in the open great room and kitchen. Master and one other bedroom are downstairs with three more bedrooms upstairs. King size sleep number bed in the Master, a Queen bedroom downstairs, a Queen bedroom upstairs plus six twins (total) in the fourth and fifth bedrooms upstairs. One has 3 twin beds while the last bedroom serves as a media room and has a twin bed.
There are flat screen TV sets in each bedroom with a 42' LCD in the Living Room. Digital cable is included for each TV and wireless Internet service is also provided. Fully equipped kitchen has all utensils and serving items you need to prepare meals in the island kitchen with granite counters and upscale stainless appliances. Seating for 6 at the dining table with room for 4 more at the granite bar next to the table.
Large raised deck overlooking the river is a great place to drink your morning coffee. Large screen porch off the kitchen and dining room is especially nice for relaxing outside in the evenings where you can enjoy the breeze from the river.
Bed linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, shampoo, coffee / supplies and trash bags are provided during your stay. House has a selection of board games, videos, books and puzzles for all ages. Laundry room with full size washer and dryer are available for your use during your stay.
The river is navigable and a public boat launch is available about 5 minutes away. Small boats and watercraft can pull up and tie off along side the property but we do not have a dock on the bank and the bluff rises fairly quickly to about 12 feet above the water level so it is not recommended to allow anyone to climb the bluff unless they are in good physical condition.

We hosted our daughter's wedding in Covington and needed a place to call home for a few days. This beautiful home fit our every need, from hosting a dinner for the groom's family to having enough room for the bridesmaids to dress!! It allowed our family to have space for downtime during this hectic and "dream come true" event. Thank you so much!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

3 couple stayed here for a spectacular Valentines Weekend. The house is very comfortable and well stocked. The location is beautiful.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

If you want to explore the wonderful and busy New Orleans area and then kick back and enjoy the comforts of home, I would highly recommend Magnolia Bluff. This home has been completely renovated and is beautiful and well maintained. It is even better than the desciption and pictures on the website. It is well stocked with everything you need (well enough to put together our Thanksgiving feast) and there is plenty of space for 12 - 13 people. The deck overlooks the river and is such a nice place to relax in the mornings and at the end of a busy day. We were pleasantly surprised to find a nice enclosed porch area which was a great play area for my toddler grandson. The owner is very friendly and accomodating and is available if you have any questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone traveling to the area and my family and I look forward to staying at Magnolia Bluff again the next time we get to New Orleans.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The house was perfect and pristine, as described. It has all of the amenities of home in a serene setting. It accomodates a group very well (lots of seating and living space as well as beds:). The owner was more than helpful. Even called to check on us upon arrival. I would definitely recommend this rental to friends and family.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

11 Adults and a17 month old child were accomadated wonderfully in this home. It is beautifully built & well decorated....we even had room for the BRIDE and her matron of honor on the night before her wedding. We so enjoyed the spaciousness, the screened in porch area & the deck......we spent a lot of time outside. The river that runs through your backyard is so calming just to sit & watch. We stayed at magnolia for a week and we had a blast,everything was as pictured.the view was awesome, we cooked and enjoyed our stay.the view was breath taking.it was 8 of us and we had plenty of room.hope to visit again and we came from Maryland,New York,Alabama,and south Carolina.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I had rented the Magnolia Bluff just this past weekend for my 40th birthday. I was impressed on how well kept the property was. Everything inside was clean and worked immaculately. The view of the river was awesome expecially in the early morning. A few girlfriends and I recently stayed at Magnolia Bluff while attending a convention. The house couldn't have been more perfect. We were in awe by the beauty of the house. From enjoying breakfast on the deck to sharing laughs in the living room, we enjoyed everything the house has to offer. The owners have done a remarkable job to make sure our stay was warm and welcoming. Why the Owner Chose Covington:
This is the home my wife grew up in and we bought it about 10 years ago. We held it as a rental but decided to renovate it completely and use it as a second home and vacation rental. We went down to the studs and completely redid the interior with new windows, plumbing, electrical, cabinets and refinished the wood floors. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The downstairs is set up with the kitchen, dining and living room serving as a great room with a double-sided fireplace. There is a large new deck overlooking the river. The house is situated on an acre with lots of trees, bamboo and azaleas. There are neighbors on each side but they are not that close to our house and the lush foliage and trees make you feel very secluded.
