2 dads, 4 sons completed our 2nd annual retreat from the east coast to the ID/MT/WY area. Fantastic time, start to finish. It's not pretty seeing grown men getting wistful as they leave. -Drake is super responsive and easy to work with - the house (which I'll get to in a minute) is in easy driving distance from tons of stuff. We spent time ATV'ing in nearby sand dunes, hiking trails in Warm River Springs, doing a clay shoot, visiting Upper Mesa Falls and Harriman Park...with barely needing to refuel. - the river outside is among the best for trout fishing in the country. Wade, float, cast from the shore -- whatever. Only note that the river is not exactly out the back door. You have to walk down a road. It'll be awesome if/when Drake & co. build a proper path from the house. - The drive to Yellowstone is lit up by snow capped mountains in both directions and worth stopping along the way. - Now, the house. It's like they built it with scalpels, the attention to detail is so thoughtful. High ceilings, stone fireplace, chef's kitchen, giant windows with river views, wrap around deck, etc etc. Rustic luxury without being cheesy. There's a hot tub too, though it'd be better if it was situated facing the river. We cooked and built fires every night, before reluctantly passing out from exhaustion. - Wildlife abounds, eg moose crossing the river outside the house and munching shrubbery right in front of us. At Yellowstone, we saw grey wolves, a black bear, elk, and endless bison. Getting wistful again. Anyway we're eager to return and happy to recommend it to others. A gem that'll only get better.

The house was very nice and had everything we needed. The view was great, as was the fishing. Wildlife could be seen from the cabin porch - bull moose, mule deer, bald eagles. Easy access for day floats on the Henry's Fork. Furnishings were top notch.

Wow!!! What an awesome place. Our family stayed a week and we loved it. Kids range in age from 2 to 17 and all had a great time. We loved waking up to the beautiful scenery. The owners have obviously taken great care in setting-up and maintaining this clean and very beautiful lodge. Drake and Lora were very helpful and great to work with - even answering a middle of the night call because of our own goof-up!! Thanks again for that!!! Very easy drive to Yellowstone, Rexburg, and tons of fishing and sights. We can't wait to go back next summer. Thanks for such a great place to stay.

What an awesome place to stay!! Drake and Lora were outstanding to work with and very helpful - even when we had to call them in the middle of the night because of our own goof-up. I was pretty popular with the wife and kids for finding such a fabulous place to stay. From the moment we walked in the door they were very impressed. But I can't take the credit - the owners have done an amazing job setting the lodge up with everything you could ever need or want. Very clean and well maintained. We can't wait to go back!!

Great location near the confluence of Henry's fork and Warm River, the house is spacious with a beautiful view overlooking the river. The house was recently completed so all the finishings and furnishings are new (as of Sept/2011). As compared to many structures, this has 2 main rooms, one with the kitchen offset by the fire and reading area, and the other room for TV and game playing. The only reason this review isn't excellent is that the hot tub is on the side of the house facing away from the river, detracting from a long soak while watching time while-away. Overall, however, I highly recommend this house, and its owner who takes great care of meeting your needs.

A dudes fishing trip that turned into an adventure. Fished all day and came back to a kitchen that enabled us to cook up some incredible grub and the Big Screen TV that took us to the football games. The mattresses were uber comfortable. Highly recommended. The location is smack dab in the middle of all tributaries of the Henry's Fork river system. Cabin Sheik!

All new interior and exterior. Location was perfect for big water, walkable streams, access to Yellowstone, and relaxing views of the river. Nice front and back yard for bocce or kids play area. Interior finishes were excellent. Kitchen with two new stainless steel refrigerators was nice for a large group with lots of provisions. Beds and bedding was new, sofas new, and a beautiful fireplace. Three different living areas so families can split up or be together for games. Mud room nicely located with new washer drier.

Just returned from a family reunion at Mesa Falls Lodge. Our family loved it! Tons of room and nicely furnished. Great access to the Henry's Fork and other surrounding rivers and streams. Less than an hour to Yellowstone. Spent time four-wheeling, playing games, fishing, exploring, hottubbing...the list goes on. Great place to spend quality time. We look forward to a return trip!

My family and I just stayed at the Mesa Falls Lodge for 3 days and it was so nice we decided to stay another day. The pictures on the website don't do this cabin justice. We were surprised on how spacious, bright and clean it was. Additionally, the details, furniture and fixtures were top notch. This cabin is secluded and private with stunning views of the river. We shopped around a lot and there's really only one other cabin, on the river, in Island Park that would compare to this one. Although, it was just my family, the cabin is laid out perfectly for two large size families, or more, to enjoy their own separate and private areas. We are looking forward to visiting again with some friends. When we vacation we stay in the best hotels and this did not disappoint. Thanks again Drake and Lora. Jason

This is a beautiful, clean and tastefully decorated cabin with high quality appliances. We especially appreciated having 2 refrigerators for our family of 22. The kitchen is well laid out and easy to work in. The cabin sits on a site above the river (about 100 yards down a fairly steep hill), the view is gorgeous, and the road leading from the cabin will get you to the boat dock in about three minutes. The pictures of the cabin on this site give you a good idea of how lovely the cabin is. This stretch of river below the cabin is world class fly fishing. We enjoyed visiting Mesa Falls, Yellowstone and Warm River Springs. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I loved my weekend on the Henry's Fork. The cabin is beautiful and there isn't a bad view to be found. We loved leaving the windows open and listening to the river as we went to sleep. My kids loved the TV's in each room. The place was very comfortable and clean. The beds are nicer than my beds at home. I can't say enough about the setting. Drake and Lora were a pleasure to work with. Thank you!!

Just stayed at this cabin for three nights right after the remodel and expansion. They did an excellent job with craftsmanship and decor - but it's all about the location. It's on the river, with the sound of the water coming through the windows - calling you to throw in a line and pull out a Henry's Fork Rainbow or Brown. Easy and smooth payment and arrangements with the management. It is like staying at a friends home.

Owner response: Thank you for the kind review. We appreciate you staying at our cabin.
