Lavender Cottage, nestled on the edge of woods, is a fully equipped two bedroom rental, surrounded by flowers through three seasons, and decorated with the work of the artist owner.
Fully fenced, it is suitable for pets (booked in advance) for a small additional charge. There are no other hidden extras -- unlike many local rentals there is no cleaning fee.
The private beach is a short walk away. When you have spent the day digging clams or hunting agates and beach rocks, stroll down to the Beach Store Cafe for a casual evening meal, or share a bottle of wine back at the Cottage on the patio amidst a spectacular container garden. (On Saturday afternoons, enjoy wine tasting at the Artisan Wine Gallery just around the corner and pick up a bottle of your favorite.)
Cook dinner over coals on the deck, then curl up next to the fire with a book chosen from the extensive library of adult and children classics, or opt for a family dvd/video.
Don't worry about the chores -- Lavender Cottage comes with everything you would expect, including a dishwasher, washer and dryer.

My wife and I have just completed a perfect week of relaxation, hiking, sunshine, and wine with these wonderful hosts and their holiday apartment. The facility is everything promised and more. We were able to walk to the store, the charming beach, a small restaurant. and church. A neighbor hosts a weekly wine tasting that should not be missed. The best recommendation is my wife and I felt like we were leaving friends when we left the Island after only a week. Even though there was just the two of us, the apartment would easily handle more. We are already planning our return, to bring our son and mother to enjoy the area together. The apartment is set in a beautiful flower garden, with fresh vegetables, flowers and birds everywhere. The sunny deck is available to enjoy meals, grill dinner, or just listen to the wind in the trees.Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We loved this great apartment. My husband and I wanted to take my Mother-in-law and Sister-in-law on a little weekend get away while we were visiting Washington in May. Anne's rental is such a great place, lot's of room a beautiful yard, and a great location. We hope to stay there again next time we visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We had a lovely stay at this quiet cottage on the island. Family had come into town and it was so nice to kick back in the wonderful backyard, play some scrabble, walk to the beach and have some quiet time. Anne is most gracious and attentive. Was easy to find, and sooo reasonable! We will be back again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.
