My family and my husbands family stayed here for Christmas. We had a wonderful vacation. The house was easily big enough to accommodate our large group. The downstairs was like having a flat all to yourselves. Our hosts were awesome. They made our stay a dream. They even decorated the house for us with a Christmas tree and decorations. Could not have asked for more. We also loved the location. Far enough away from everyone to feel like we really got away, but close enough to all the thing we wanted to do and see. We would and plan to stay here again. Thank you so much!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We used this for a "guys weekend" of fishing and golf. The 4 bedrooms gave us all our own bedroom and lots of space. The deck was great to sit outside and enjoy the lake and the quiet. The weather was cool but that didn't ruin the weekend. The owners were great to work with on scheduling. We will definitely try to stay here again. Thank you!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.

We stay somewhere on Tablerock every summer with our extended family. This summer we decided to stay at rustic comfort because of the location and ability to bring our dogs...it was ideal. What the pictures don't show you is the bluffs across where everyone enjoyed being daredevils and jumping off. They also don't show the quite beach that's not too far away, or the quite country like neighborhood this is in. Also, we were so close to Eureka Springs that we made two trips. The house being a walk out was great for the dogs, so we will definately be back. This house is comfortably casual and nice enough to feel at home running in and out from the lake. Also, there is plenty of easy parking for the boat trailer with no crazy driveways or hills to navigate. For our family it's just what we wanted.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

We loved this property so much that we came back for a second stay. Just like the first, the house was awesome. There were several adults and a couple small children with us this time and we were very pleased with the space. The location to the water was wonder. We enjoyed looking out the kitchen window and watching the cliff divers on a daily basis. Grandpa Dan at the top of the hill was as always very nice and helpful. The deer were amazing this year. I was so surprised how many we saw and how often. The location is awesome, the house is awesome, Jolene is awesome....can't wait to come back next year. Only negative for us is not having a boat slip but it is still very doable. Thanks and see ya next year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: You are so kind. It's very nice when people love our house as much as we do. We're looking forward to seeing you again. You came at the very hottest time of the summer so far. I hope you can come in the fall when the temps are more hospitable.

This was the first family (as in grown children with spouses, and a grandchild) vacation in 8 years, so we really wanted to get away from the whole everyone has their own hotel room, and just be together as a family. We really enjoyed this place. It was very quiet and peaceful. We loved watching the little planes take off and land. The water was within walking distance for swimming and fishing. There was one small problem with the air conditioning, but the owner was there by 8 am the next morning with a service man and the problem was fixed within 30 minutes. Thanks for the wonderful memories.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: We're in our second season sharing our home. We enjoy meeting our guests, and apparantly our neighbors do too! Thanks for that! It really is a great place for families to gather. We apprecialte suggestions and comments that can enhance the experience.

This cabin was just what we had in mind! It was perfect for our large group, and we truly enjoyed our trip! The house was clean, well maintained and problem free. Sunsets from the deck were beautiful. We had no complaints at all, and will rent it again in the future! The owners were very nice and friendly, and eager to accomodate us. We met some neighbors, who were also incredibly nice. The perfect family get away!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

WOW! We all had a great time on our vacation. Your vacation home was wonderful. I want to thank you for ordering the FANTASTIC weather. I even went swimming in the lake on our last full day. If I wouldn't know the date (March / April) I would have thought it to be June! We had some great motorcycle rides in the beautiful rolling hills in your area. Thanks for letting us use your home for our time down in MO. Have a great Spring!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Several options for quick day trips like Eureke Springs! Walmart within 20 minutes! Highly recomment.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers.
Owner response: I'm delighted the wildlife cooperated and enhanced your stay! The weather will be cooling off soon. Then the seasonal change of leaves will give our home a whole new demention. I do hope you'll come again. Jolene

Location
Owner info
Year Purchased: 1992
About the owner: I moved here from Texas in 1992, Deryl moved here from Nebraska the year before. We fell in love with the sunsets and each other on the deck of this house. We sold it to a mature couple who were just starting a new love affair of their own. They live happily here till her death a few years ago. So we had the chance to buy the house back. And now we want to share it with you! Beware of the effects of the sunsets!
Why the Owner Chose Golden:
I came from the Dallas-Ft. Worth area looking for trees, water, space, serinity and sanity! I have to go back to the city once in a while to regain my appreciation for the loveliness of my home. I know you'll find that same kind of rejuvinating quiet too.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
You'll find our Rustic Comfort a world away from the usual work-a-day world. Come and renew your energies of mind, body and soul.
