We were both born and raised in the great city of Philadelphia, Pa. the birthplace of our great nation, home of "ROCKY", and our renowned CHEESESTEAKES, enjoyed by many of our past Presidents. Who could forget ROCKY'S famous run through our Italian market seen in all of his pictures culminating in his running up the steps of the Art Museum. The city is a melting pot of history; entertainment; atmosphere; ethnic delights; and a great place to live.
We both love to travel and have been fortunate to do so extensively for the past 20 years in this country, the islands, and Europe. We had also been to Mexico, but not to Puerto Vallarta. One day, my husband said that since he had heard so much about Puerto Vallarta, he would like to go. We were so captivated by its beauty and charm we returned every year and there was no doubt in our mind that we had to invest in our own condo in paradise. About the owner: We love music and we love to dance. We have found Puerto Vallarta to be as perfect a place to enjoy music and dancing as any place we have been to. Walking in town is one of our favorite things to do as everything is so beautiful and the ocean is always in full view. Great coffee shops and restaurants - entertainment on the malecon day and night and sometimes dancing in the center square on Sunday nights to live music. We also love to watch the live shows on Saturday or Sunday evenings on the malecon featuring Puerto Vallarta's great singers and dancers. . Sometimes, we just like to sit on one of the hundreds of benches along the old and new malecon and just absorb the idealic atmosphere. We also love to browse in the hundreds of shops and then just walk and walk all around. Of course when the guadeloupe celebration is on from December 1 - 12th, you have to see it to believe it. It is beyond description.
Why the Owner Chose South Zone:
We have the best of both worlds - the magnificence of the mountains; and a 10 minutes bus ride to Central. We really love the bus ride to and from Mismoloya Bay - the scenery is outstanding - from gorgous villas; haciendas; to magnificent condos/hotels (including the girasolsur), and the ocean all along the way. You couldn't ask for more - you can't ever tire of it. The beauty of the Sierra Madre Mountains is breathtaking.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We love just sitting on our balcony admiring our fantastic view of the ocean, sipping our glass of wine and listening to our music.
In the mornings, we walk our twin beaches which are so beautiful.
We love to eat at the girasol restaurant. It offers the best mexican food and the atmosphere is overwhelming. What better view than the ocean as you enjoy your great meal while watching whales and dolphins swim by.. It is especially fabulous in the evening when you can see all the lights of the city in the distance. Never has a starry night been more magnificent wIth hundreds of stars hovering above and the outline of the mountains all around.
The restaurant has music 2-3 times a week with great bands and a dance floor where we can do our thing.
The gardens at the girasolsur are beautiful with tables and lounge chairs where you can sit day or night and just take in the atmosphere of all its beauty. We also love the sound of the ocean and when there's a full moon, the ocean comes alive. it's awesome.
Around 4PM, while we are sitting on our balcony, the pelicans perform their military manuver as they fly overhead in perfect formation. What a sight.
The serrvice given to everyone by the employees of the girasolsur is outstanding. There is always a concierge at the front desk 24/7 as well as a full security staff. They cater to your every need with the utmost courtesy. As an added convenience, there is a mini market at the girasolsur. They have everything, including liquer; ice; water; frozen foods, etc. So convenient.
There's a special room set up with computers for the use of owners and renters for a nominal fee and it is so convenient.
Our Condo/Hotel is 100% self-containing and we just love it. There's also a full library and gym available.
We feel nothing else compares.
