My sister and I had a great stay at this unit. It's older, but well-maintained. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes and utensils for any cooking and even baking you might want to do. Basic spices and supplies like oil, vinegar and condiments were in the cupboards and fridge and there were 5-6 trays of ice cubes in the freezer. The fans were great and the windows had louvres. We didn't need to use the AC at all. The bathroom was clean, but could use a new tub. There were small coolers and lunch bags perfect for packing picnics/snacks to take to the beach as well as beach mats, lawn chairs and a couple umbrellas. The beach is very close - only a 2 minute walk and the condo pool is even closer. Check-in/check out was very simple and we were given a parking pass for our car. The place is small and probably wouldn't be comfortable for more than 2-3 adults. The small lanai had a patio set and we had breakfast out there every morning. It overlooks one of the condo BBQ's and picnic tables. This was a very last-minute booking and Melodie was really helpful and accessible by phone and email. She also allowed a late check-out as our flight didn't leave until 11 pm. Good price for what you're getting. We didn't go to Maui to hang out in a condo; it was a great place to come back to after exploring the island and we made good use of the picnic and beach stuff there. Also, I don't think the site mentioned that there is an in-suite washing machine and wooden rack for drying clothes outside. Very handy after a dusty hike on Haleakala.

It is always so hard to lug our suitcases around and try to go to the beach on our last day in Paradise. The owner was quick to accommodate us with a late check out (since no one else was checking in that day). We will be leaving this Saturday. :) This is a thanks in advance for the late check out.
Owner response:Dear Charles and Joanne, Happy to accommodate your late departure. Melodie Miller Owner

The condo was clean and well equipped. Quiet at night. Easy walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. It's small - so I wouldn't recommend more than 2 adults. Convertible bed in the living room not very comfortable and no curtains. Manager was very welcoming. Helped us out when the key got stuck in the door. Can't remember the name of the bar next door..."Moose something" - best deal all round. No waiting, great fish (mahi mahi) and chip dinner...$3 drinks for happy hour. Really enjoyed the Luau in Wailea. Bought it discounted at Costco. Loved the dinner cruise and saw lots of whales as a bonus. You can snorkel off the beach near the hotel. Rental of equipment and beach chairs is close to the condo and very reasonable for the week. Recommend a drive to the north shore to see the surf (Pa'ia)...drive inland to Makawao...Drive up to Lahaina.

This Unit was lovely, the fans were spectacular compared to the rest of the family groups staying in the Kihei area for our wedding! The A/C was great as was the kitchen and all the amenities including the beach towels/cooler supplied. The small deck outside had great outside furniture as well as supplied drying rack and hangers for washed and/wet bathing suits/towels. Travel guides and books were provided also. The only downfall was the bathroom (shower/bath looked like it hadn't been given any love for months), and if you are looking for an ocean veiw you wont get it here. However, it is so central as it is across from a fabulous swimming/tanning/snorkelling beach, next to great places to grab a beer, have lunch/dinner as well as icecream! This unit provided exactly what we needed while inching closer to our wedding date. The transaction was exceptionally smooth and communication with Melodie was always fast, clear and concise. Thank you Melodie for the use of your lovely condo, we truly enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our 8 day stay in unit 267. The condo is located in the best area. Private, and very quiet. There was a constant nice breeze, and we never even used the air conditioner. With the great ceiling fans, and all the windows, it stayed very comfortable. You can walk to many great restaurants, beaches (which are the best) and lot's of shopping real close. I agree with all the nice ladies, I met at the pool....It's the best pool in Kihei! This was our second year at KKN, and we have met the nicest people there. Mahalo : )
Owner response:Dear Ruthie, thank you for the wonderful review. Are you planning to come back next November? Would you like to book the unit now? I can give you a great price.

My visit was wonderful. I installed 2 new high powered ceiling fans to accompany the air conditioning creating a crisp, cool living environment inside the condo. The condo is freshly painted with new lighting over the sink and I added a dining table on the lanai. I know you will enjoy your stay at Kihei Kai Nani.

My friend and I spent almost a month in this unit. Directly across the street from a beautiful beach, next door to a good strip mall with shopping, restaurants, nail place, internet cafe, and bakery with wonderful cinnamon rolls made fresh daily. So, you really don't need a car, unless you want to explore the island (which I totally recommend). The unit has a nice washer, but no dryer. The kitchen has everything you could want or need. Large swimming pool, and friendly staff. On the downside: the living area has a wall of windows, and there are NO drapes. So, at night, you are on display and if you are sleeping in there, it's VERY bright, VERY early in the morning, and in the afternoon, the sun comes directly into the unit which makes it VERY hot. Only 1 usable beach chair. The tile floor was really dirty and the pillows and sheets could use replacing. Also, the ceiling fan in the living area was broken.
Owner response:We installed brand new ceiling fans. Next will be curtains for the sliding glass doors. Thank you for your comments. Also, we will have the tiles sealed again which will help with the gritty feeling. I will ask maintenance to replace the sheets and pillows as well.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here a few weeks ago in Maui. We really appreciated such a clean, well-kept place to stay. It was such a convenient location across from some of the best beaches in Kihei. Enjoying breakfast on the lanai and feeling the nice breeze from the open windows made it so wonderful we didn't even need the AC! Even though we spent most of our trip outdoors, it was nice to have a full kitchen and washer. Really quiet too... which made for a nice, relaxing vacation. Next time we go back, we definitely want to stay here again.

Staying at Jay and Melodie's condo in Maui was the best decision we could have made for our vacation to the island. We really appreciated that it came equipped with all of the comforts of home and the location (right across the street from Kam II) could not have been better. We are hoping we will be able to reserve this condo in the future as we most definitely will make our way back to the island again.

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay in the last week of March at Jay & Melodie's Kihei Kai Nani condominium. It's a great place.... helpful staff.. right across from Kam II beach. This really is the best location in Kihei. Don't hesitate to give Jay a call... he'll give you all sorts of great info about what to do while you're in Maui!

We had a relaxing and enjoyable 16 days at this cozy and comfortable home in Maui. We loved all the comforts of home that this condo had, we especially enjoyed the closeness to the BBQ area, pool, and beach front access. We would not hesitate to stay at Jay and Melodies condo in the future, and would recommend this to anybody.

I enjoyed 10 very relaxing days this past May in your Kihei, Maui paradise. When I first walked into the condo, any expectations I may have had were far surpassed. Everything about the condo was beautiful and relaxing. I had everything I could possibly need and more! The location was also magnificent. The white sandy beaches across the street were perfect for morning walks, afternoon swims and evening sunsets. I also enjoyed the beautiful, refreshing, well kept pool. I am certainly looking forward to staying there again on my next trip to Maui.

Our stay in Kihei was absolutely wonderful! The condo was in a perfect location, couple min walking from a wonderful beach and close to Whilea with our favorite snorkeling place. We found the condo in a perfect condition and well equipped. Both of these were very important to us as we traveled with small children. The washer came really handy. We were also nicely surprised by how well the kitchen was equipped with spices and all! Our daughter also enjoyed playing some games, which she found in one of the trunks, and the books/guides helped us during our trip to Hana. Overall a wonderful experience in every aspect. Strongly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay here and found the condo to be very clean, comfortable and quiet. We definitely found some useful items we didn't even think would be included, such as several useful guidebooks. I especially want to say that Jay was extremely approachable and reliable when making the reservations. He sent follow up confirmations immediately after my credit card was charged, and that alone makes us very happy with our experience. Mahalo!
