Very clean, comfortable, cozy, and charming!! The owner helped by leaving a key for us, and responding promptly when we found ourselves accidentally locked out because we had locked an outside door not knowing our key would not open it. Also, when we had a question about the location of the remote control for the television and replacing some burned out light bulbs, he replied right away. Our host made us feel right at home--sending us photos via email of what the coffee maker looked like, for example, and leaving a lovely gift basket with some munchies! We found everything we needed: kitchen supplies, even corkscrews and matches--soap and plush linens in the bathrooms! So nice to have internet, strong phone signals, and DVD player!!! We had snow for all four days, and excellent skiing at Brighton Resort. The grocery store (Dan's) on Fort Union was not as close to the mouth of the canyon as we thought, but we found everything there we needed. We saw the Whole Food afterword, and could have gone there as well for some specialized food such as Lactose Free products. Silver Fork Lodge was a great place to meet friends for dinner--lots of character and good food!. Because of the snow storm, we did not venture out of the canyon at all into the city or to other ski resorts--skiing at Solitude was not as good because of the lower elevation and lateness of the season. We could have gone to eat there as well. Lunches on the slopes at Alpin Rose were good! Snowplows seemed to be very efficient plowing the main road in the canyon and the road to the cabin. This would also be a beautiful place to stay in the summertime! A guide book in the cabin details many local hiking trails. I would recommend it year round!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

John was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions & making us feel welcome! The cabin was stocked with everything we needed including little details like shampoo & conditioner, and hand warmers. It has a cozy & secluded feeling but is only ¼ mile to Brighton Ski Resort & 2 miles to Solitude. There is also a ski shop about 10 min away where you can purchase discount lift tickets.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My stay at moose creek cabin met every expectation and then some!! John greeted our family with warm hospitality as well as gifts for us all, which we enjoyed very much;) also provided baby proofing items for our 1 year old that made our stay much more comfortable and enjoyable! Cabin is in close proximity to both Brighton and solitude. The decor and furnishing was very cute and rustic which we absolutely adored. Thank you for making our vacation one to remember. We highly recommend everyone to stay at moose creek cabin! Great place to stay! If the access road to the canyon shuts down you'll be glad you stayed up in the mountains. We had the mountain to ourselves for two hours while everyone who stayed down in Salt Lake City waited in line for the road to open.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers.

Nice, charming cabin settled in a wonderful setting. Warm and cozy, very close to the Brighton Ski Resort, few minutes drive from Solitude Ski Resort. It is perfect for a smaller group who wants to get away from the city, to be outdoors and feel the rustic atmosfere of the mountan. Would definitely return. Tahnk you John for your hospitalityRecommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers.

The cabin was perfect, and very close to Brighton for our snowboarding trip. The owner was very nice and accommodated our requests. Everything was nice and clean, more than I expected for the price! I would suggest this location for anyone looking to snowboard at Brighton or Solitude. I've sure it's just as nice in the summer for a getaway as well.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
