Luxury Squaw Peak Tuscan Villa; Spectacular Views, Central Phx
- Minimum stay:Contact owner

- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:Yes
This private luxury resort Tuscan Villa is nestled in the gated Phoenix Mountain Preserve Estates at the foothills of Piestewa (formally Squaw) Peak Mountain. Its central Phoenix location boasts a unique, tranquil escape unknown to downtown central corridor living. Builder/owner left out no detail, perfecting chemistry between home and natural desert mountain living.
The drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is less than 12 minutes travel time via the scenic Piestewa (51) Freeway.
Entrance through the remote-controlled gate provides guests with the first view of the magnificent home bordering the exclusive Mountain Preserve Park.
Guests enter the estate on winding tumbled pavers that pour into an inviting courtyard, perfect for social gatherings warmed on cool winter evenings by a crackling, mesquite-burning kiva. Dining room and downstairs bedroom guests both have access to the courtyard through beautiful French doors crafted from Bolivian cedar.
Entrance into the 4400 square foot home is through a stately, hand-crafted Cantera door, which directs guest views through the great room towards the aquatic feature carved from the mountain lot. Massive glass pocket doors open the entire great room to a covered tumbled paver patio, guarded by a dozen rough-hewn wood columns in harmony with paver and Cantera stone accents.
Continuing outside, guests are presented with the centerpiece of the Villa--a magazine-featured backyard aquatic playground with a backdrop of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve Park.
Exercise or play in this 2 lane, 25 yd pool, offering seating for entertaining along its entire length. Boasting the largest surface area residential pool permitted in the City of Phoenix, it features year-round use, underwater speakers, fiber optic lighting, laminars, fire features and a 10 person hot tub with adjacent gas fire pit.
Sensational outdoor entertainment continues with a professional grilling/bar area, featuring seating under lighted umbrellas.
A professional outdoor pizza oven offers a unique entertainment option for this outdoor wonderland with multiple serving areas for group or private parties.
Beckoning guests to explore is a three-story spiral staircase directing guests from the grilling/bar area to an expansive second-story deck wrapping around nearly half of the home, featuring a gas fireplace, while revealing downtown city views. Overnight guests can access their bedrooms directly from the deck or the common area of the upstairs level.
For those guests in search of the absolute viewing experience, a third level accessed from the spiral stairs ascends 31 feet above pool level for 360 degree viewing matched only by surrounding peaks within hiking distance. Enjoy amazing Arizona sunsets with drinks from the view deck while waiting for the Valley lights to reveal their splendor from Mesa to the east, through Sky Harbor International Airport and downtown Phoenix, to the western lights of Goodyear and Buckeye.
Inside, extensive use of slate, stone and wood combine for an uncommon harmony. Forty-four doors hand-crafted from Bolivian cedar are used throughout the house, providing a pleasant natural aroma. For flooring, slate covers the entire ground level while the second story is exclusively Brazilian.
An expansive chef's gourmet kitchen with granite counters and knotty hickory cabinets hosts professional grade stainless steel double ovens, built in refrigerator-freezer, microwave, double sink, dishwasher, expansive island with work sink, and stocked pantry. The adjacent butler’s pantry, equipped with warming drawer and a walk-in wine room, allows for your choice of elegant or casual serving.
All over-sized bedrooms have access to decks or courtyards and include private baths. These baths feature vessel sinks, slate walk-in showers, equipped with overhead rain shower features and over-sized Jacuzzi or soaker tubs.
Two large HD TVs provide great room and master bedroom entertainment with an additional LED flatscreen in the master bathroom. Great room surround sound, central music throughout the house, and exterior back patio speakers provide limitless entertainment options.
A Bonus room upstairs is designed for theater, exercise, or extra sleeping quarters.
Adjacent Phoenix Mountain Preserve offers instant hiking, jogging, and mountain biking trails.
Easy five-minute freeway access enables 12 minute PHX Int’l Airport commute while connecting throughout the valley to Scottsdale fine shopping and dining, professional golf, tennis, basketball, baseball, hockey & football sports. Nearby ASU features college sports, including the Fiesta Bowl, while Tempe hosts the annual Tempe Lake Iron Man. Additionally, Phoenix hosts the NBA All Star Game, Phoenix Open Golf
Tournament, the famous Barrett Jackson Auto Auction, and many other exciting Arizona events.
Southwestern vacation living at its finest! You must visit to appreciate attention to every detail and amenities galore.

We spent two weeks at the villa July/Aug 2012 for what was the best holiday my family and I have ever had! First, there is just so much to do in Arizona we managed to tick several lines of our bucket list, including hot air ballooning Next, the villa is ideally located in a superb area to see them all without any hassle - Close to SR51 and I17 and next to Scottsdale, the perfect combination of mountain views and easy access to tha main centers and transport route. Then, the villa itself. It really is breathtaking and made our holiday, with everything you need for a relaxing, comfortable stay. The pool is the best we have ever experienced and this is the first holiday I managed to lose weight, we did so much swimming! We cannot recommend this home to you enough, and if you shoose to stay here, you are assured of a fantastic vacation!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had the most terrific weekend in this home spending time with old friends from out of state. The property is absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained (I know others have said it, but it truly is even more beautiful and luxurious than pictures can show!) and the owner and property managers were wonderful to us (responsive, accommodating, and welcoming). The back yard is a dream with the terrific pool, views, and outdoor cooking options. The runners in the group utilized the easy access to the hiking trails as well. There was more than enough space for the 8 adults in our party and this was the best possible way to share a weekend under the same roof but still have our own space and privacy. This home is a gem and I hope to rent it again next year!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The property was absolutely beautiful! We were pleasantly surprised that the house and yard were better than what the photos showed. We were also surprised with the multi-head showers. It was great! Have already recommended it to another friend that might be visiting in August.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: It's hard to do our home justice via photo or written description. One must visit to appreciate its splendor! Good to know you enjoyed you stay and appreciate your referral

The photos do not do this house justice! It is absolutely gorgeous and everything is in perfect working order! We take an annual golf trip each year to different locations and this house was surprisingly one of the most affordable and by far the prettiest we have stayed in! We will definitely be back! The property managers are very helpful and we honestly could not have asked for anything better!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We rented this home for six weeks which was our very first experience. Everything was as described, but only better in person. We were met by the managers who gave us a tour and provided us with backup written instructions to acquaint us with the home. They were always available for questions and support when needed, could not have been nicer. The location was superb, close and accessible to many attractions, tucked into the mountain side at the top of the residential area, very peaceful and quiet. It is a good size home with an excellent feel of cozy and comfortable. The neighborhood was very friendly and there were many local restaurants that provided excellent food and a community feel. There was excellent hiking on numerous trails right out the back door, or within a very short drive. The bedrooms were very nice sized with walk in closets and great bathrooms. The kitchen was a fun place to cook and we made good use of the dining room and breakfast table. The mountains provided a great view for sunrise on the front patio and sunsets on the back. We were sad to leave. Thank you to the owners for offering us a very memorable stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I booked a trip for some clients to let off a little steam and relax before the holidays. This house was PERFECT! The location is outstanding, Very close to the airport with perfect mountain views and wildlife so close you can actually hear the coyotes howling in the morning. The photos are great and very accurate but it just doesnt do it justice. This place is BEAUTIFUL!!! It has to be seen to be really apreciated. Fresh fruit trees in the back yard with oranges and lemons, There are really cool torches along the pool and an extremely cool fireplace by the hot tub that burns on top of the sand with natural gas. The bedrooms are all furnished with HUGE tvs and stereos, and the bathrooms are the size of small apartments. The hospitality was top notch as well, with a lovely welcome basket with goodies like wine and even coffee for the morning, as well as a great little book with local information like cab companies and local pizza shops. The owners of this property have thought of everything. Thank you for graciously sharing your home. I will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our party of 9 could not fault this amazing rental. Home is more than you could imagine, even from the pictures. The home was beautifully cleaned & extemly well maintained. The property managers were outstanding & at the end of the initial run through the house, they had covered everything & left with all questions answered. 20mins to Downtown in the peak traffic times - great for mixing pleasure with business. We will definitley love to rent again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful stay at the "Lindberg Villa". We slept 10 friends and family very comfortably. We had a catered promotion party using Famous Daves BBQ with approx 125 attending. My family enjoyed the HUGE lap pool and hosted a football party the next Sunday. The home is BEAUTIFUL with GORGEOUS views even from the bedrooms (all with private bathrooms)! The home was built to entertain, have fun in the sun, and relax. The access to the airport was very convenient. Pleasently surprised w/ central location. Looking forward to our next stay at the "Lindberg Villa."Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Louie and Linda are the proud parents of 4 children and 2 grandchildren. We built this home and pool catering to our desire for a comfortable family friendly environment. Louie wanted the house, Linda the pool -- we're all about compromise!! Linda's pool boasts the largest surface area in Phx as she uses the pool for triathlon training (hand-picked lane tiles to include Nemo!) Linda and Louie have done many marathons together and love running or hiking right out the back door in the preserve mountains or onto the nearby canals of Dreamy Draw Park. We are now "empty nesters" and enjoy traveling about for work and pleasure.
Why the Owner Chose Squaw Peak, The Pointe:
The Lindberg Villa was not built as "rental income property." After extensive search of the Phoenix corridor, we purchased this lot and built an ultra custom home and pool revolving around our lifestyle of active living and entertainment.
We have used VRBO for several successful vacation experiences, so decided to give this a whirl.
Especially notable about this home location is the easy, 10-15 min commute to the airport and freeway access throughout the valley. Literally 20 min to most anywhere in the valley.
Private, exclusive, yet not "stuffy." We love our home and surrounding amenities with those who can appreciate luxury Southwestern living with attention to every detail.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
In addition to the plethora of benefits previously mentioned, we love sipping morning coffee on the back patio and watching the wildlife or wandering up the view deck to watch the sunrise. Not surprisingly, our children took full advantage of entertaining their friends (under the watchful eye of mom and dad). Their favorite hangout was the view deck in the evening as we shared our days events.
We have hosted many HUGE events to include a wedding (with rock band!) and multiple celebrations and baby/engagement showers. Yes, it is very durable with slate floors, granite counter-tops, and wood features, but TLC is expected.
