This rental was amazing! When we arrived, the place was spotlessly clean and even more spacious than the pictures displayed. Our group was in town for Jazz Fest, and the location allowed us to walk most places we went. Very close to Frenchmen and the quarter. We walked to Jazz Fest too although it was a bit further (1.5 miles). I used to live in the Marigny, so knew the location would be great but was impresed with the upkeep of the house and how easy Larry made it for our group to stay. Would definitely rent his places again if visiting in the future.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This 4 bedroom unit was perfect for 10+ in New Orleans for a beautiful French Quarter Fest weekend. All 4 bedrooms are a good size and the common area was bigger than expected from looking at the pictures beforehand. Only a couple minutes to the great spots on Frenchman St. and even closer to R Bar. Ruby Slipper, a GREAT breakfast spot, is diagonally across the street for maximum convenience. Many other restaurants in this great neighborhood as well, including Port of Call which is a short walk. The walk to the popular areas of Bourbon St. is less than 15 minutes. If anything, bathrooms are a little small but that was no big deal and the kitchen is pretty basic. But large refrigerator and dining room table so we were all able to hang while getting ready. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to be able to walk back and forth from Frenchman and the Quarter in beautiful New Orleans.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We used this charming property for a girl's long weekend (mid 30s) and it was perfect for our needs. We never used a cab, and it was extremely close to Frenchman Street and the Quarter. We enjoyed Ruby Slipper Cafe across the street and Who Dat Coffee Shop a few blocks away. It was very convenient to walk down Esplanade Ave to the water and market, and to shop on Royal Street. The bedrooms were all spacious and we also used the fold out couch which was comfortable. Larry was extremely easy to work with and very quick to answer any questions. I plan to stay here again in the future. Thank you Larry!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We were celebrating my parents' 50th anniversary for a week in New Orleans. Nine people ranging in age from 5 to 74 stayed here and we all had a wonderful time. The space was perfect for all of us. The beds were very comfortable and we made good use of the kitchen. Ruby Slipper, the breakfast and lunch place directly across the street was great. The bathtub could have been cleaner (one of us took a sponge to it and what we thought was just an old, worn finish turned out to be dirt). However, everything else about this property, including the booking process and all my dealings with the owner were so wonderful that it did not significantly diminish my impression of the place. Larry was extremely easy to work with and very helpful. He even found a step stool for my father to help him get into his King sized bed (my father had a hernia at the time). I highly recommend this or any of Larry's other properties. It can be difficult to get a cab so keep this in mind if you are travelling with older people or people with disabilities.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This was a nice property close to Bourbon Street. The owner was extremely hospitable and very quick to get back with any questions we had. He even drove me around to see some different restaurants.nearby. LaPeniche was very good and 1 block away. If you go to New Orleans, you really need to see Big Al Carson at the Funky Pirate. The band is AMAZING and Big Al is a great singer, and also extremely funny.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Group of 8 in town for birthday, and everything was perfect! The layout of the house allowed for privacy with the four bedrooms. We didn't spend a whole lot of time there - too much to do and not enough time to do it all - but kitchen seemed to be well supplied. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Highly recommend La Peniche ... only half a block away and excellent food. We had breakfast there every day, plus a couple of late night pie / munchie fixes. Frenchman Street just around the corner. French Quarter a few blocks, but definitely walk-able. We walked it several times. Also a very cheap cab ride if you don't care to walk (or get stuck in pouring down rain as we did). Larry is great to work with. Would definitely recommend this place, and stay there again. Perfect for large group. Thanks for helping to make my 50th NOLA trip one we will always remember!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Friends of our daughter and her fiance came to town for their wedding, and stayed at this property for four nights so they could enjoy the city before and after the wedding. They practically ran out of positive adjectives in trying to describe how much they enjoyed their stay! All the rooms were sparkling clean, the beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well appointed for their needs. I was the one who booked the home, and I have to say I've never had an easier time making reservations and arrangements. Larry is super-easy to work with, and he was very helpful in responding to my questions. The location in Marigny means no car is necessary. Restaurants, coffee shops, and music venues are all within easy walking distance--and the French Quarter is a hop and a skip away. I've already recommended this property to some friends, and I'll continue to do so.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We stayed here with 2 other couples for 5 nights during FQ fest. The accommodations were perfect for us! The place was very clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood was very quiet. The deck outside was fun to sit and read or just watch the neighborhood. We cannot comment on whether the kitchen was well stocked or not since we did not cook at all. Although we did use the fridge to keep our drinks cold. There are so many great restaurants in New Orleans that we went out for every meal. That is part of the reason you visit NO, the food and the music. A mile from the house, walking distance for us, along Burgundy st in Bywater is a great new restaurant called Maurepas for dinner. Also in that general area is Cake Cafe for breakfast. If you like the bar and music scene you are just a 5 minute walk to Frenchman Street which I would highly recommend visiting. The places are much classier on Frenchman, not at all like Bourbon street. Walking to the French quarter is easy as well. it was so close that we were able to come back midday to the house to take a nap and get out of the sun for awhile during the festival. If you want to visit other areas of the City, taxis are plentiful. We took one to the Garden district. We did not rent a car knowing we would not venture too far( this is our 7th time to NOLA). But if you rent, street parking looked pretty easy in this neighborhood. The owner, Larry, was always available by email or phone if needed. he was very pleasant to deal with. I would recommend staying in this house, and probably will the next time we visit New Orleans.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

A group of us went to New Orleans for the Final Four this year and had an excellent time staying at this house. The location was great - a short walk to the French Quarter and a few blocks away from Frenchmans. The house was a good size and well-maintained, perfect for large groups. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. I was a little wary of renting a place online, sight unseen, but this worked out perfectly. I was also very impressed by the owner and his responsiveness to me. Whenever we emailed or called him during the weekend to ask a question, he responded very promptly and was extremely nice on the phone. We had a small problem with the A/C when we arrived (I couldn't figure it out!) and he sent someone over to get it turned on within 10 minutes. It was a wonderful stay overall and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We visit NOLA at least once a year so when we invited friends to join us for Halloween, we knew we wanted to stay in the Marigny. Unfortunately, some of the other homes we've rented were just too small for seven people so decided to give this place a try. I will never stay anywhere but Larry's homes again. Beautiful, charming and a perfect spot. We could not have been more pleased with our stay. When we did have a question, Larry was able to help us immediately. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean and there was more than enough room for everyone. Halloween was a blast, but the true highlight was the fun times we had over homemade breakfast or late night drinks at the apartment.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Seven of my friends and I stayed in this house for a ladies' bachelorette weekend. The location could not have been better! We aren't exactly twenty-two anymore, so we really appreciated that the street was safe and quiet, but easily within walking distance to the Quarter and Frenchman St. Frenchman was only about 3 blocks away, where you can enjoy fabulous live music both on the street, and at a number of cool little bars. We also walked to the French Quarter a number of times (through nice neighborhoods the whole way). The house itself was lovely. It was super clean and very charming. It has a great balcony and a lot of interesting older architectural features, but also includes the modern conveniences folks expect--including a kick butt air conditioner, which is essential for a trip to the Crescent City in August. It easily accommodated all 8 of us without feeling like we were on top of one another. Also, the property owner could not have been more friendly, helpful or accommodating. He even offered to let us deliver some cupcakes to his office and brought them by the house after we arrived because we were having trouble coordinating their delivery. Overall staying here was a terrific experience. I will definitely try to stay at this property every time I go to NOLA from now on.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: These girls (ladies) were such a pleasure to deal with. They were so nice is every phase of the rental process. They left my house in great shape when they checked out. I hope they come back soon. I highly recommend them to other VRBO owners. Until we meet again, Thank You.

Couldn't have asked for more., The place was just re-done and it blew our group's of 14 (had another of Larry's rentals as well) minds. The ceilings are like 20 feet high and the bathrooms and bedrooms are great for guests. Everything is new or refreshed in some way. There is a central hi-fi system and the A/C blows cold. If you want 4 full, pretty private bedrooms + another sofa bed you can't go wrong. Larry will do anything you need, just ask! I'll be coming back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The property looks exactly as it does in the photos. The balcony view is stunning. The house is spacious and the amenities were more than adequate. We never needed to lock the door nor did we ever fear our safety. We were in walking distance to a grocery store, a drug store, a bar, a bakery, and several restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: This group was a real cool bunch. They were a fun loving group that left the unit in great condition. I would welcome them back again. I highly recommend them to other VRBO owners. Thank You.
