This was a perfect house for our large family, six adults and four small children (all under 6). The kids loved the swing, big fenced yard and all the toys (legos) and games. The little boys loved sleeping on the cots and toasting marshmallows over the fire pit.We had a hard time getting them to the beach! the adults loved the extra large porch. We shared family dinners out there every night, the table was large enough for all ten of us.The house was half way between the grocery and beach and we could walk to both.Recommended for: Families with young children.

We stayed in this cottage for a week in August last summer. It was so nice! The interior was freshly painted and the décor is simple and tasteful. The inside has a cottage-y feel (light and airy) but functions like a house in terms of cleanliness, comfort and convenience (Bosch dishwasher and WiFi!). The cottage is great for families. The whole place was very relaxing (tons of old books for kids and grown-ups, some toys, dvds, ipod docking station, etc -- without being cluttered). The oversized yard includes a big playhouse, sand box, a super tall tree swing, hot tub, outdoor shower and room to run. We spent most of our time on the beautiful screened porch. It’s big enough to have a large dining table on one end and a comfy seating area at the other, where we played a marathon game of Monopoly. There are also several decks and outdoor seating areas in addition to the screened porch. I’m kind of a bedding and lighting freak, and appreciated that all the sheets were cotton, the pillows were down, and the blankets seemed new. And there was a nice glow in the evening from the lights throughout the cottage and the porch. I was a little worried that we’d be too far from the beach (it’s 2 long blocks), but we didn’t mind at all. The yard is such an oasis, we had a hard time pulling ourselves away sometimes (but the beach was gorgeous when we did!) We're already booked for this summer.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
