What a great weekend. Went to Bob and Laura's for some late season fishing and we had a wonderful experience. The owners were super accommodating and went so far as to reschedule the removal of their pier so we could have it for the weekend. The bluegills in the area were very sad about that decision because between 2pm Friday and 10am Sunday we caught 100 of them! The house was perfect and all we had to bring was food. Thanks for the great weekend and we will see you next year. BTW, we caught the fish using wax worms fishing between 1 and 3 feet in depth depending on the time of day. Deeper in the morning and shallower in the afternoon/evening. There is a little sand patch off the left side of the pier and we worked the edges of it all day. Caught some real beasts too.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This place is the best laid out place I've ever seen. Bob is a great guy with helpful tips about the area and I definitely will be asking for a time during the summer. Thanks for the best weekend I've had in a long time. Everyone that was there had a brilliant time.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My friends and I went to this house for a ice fishing trip and it was amazing. We were right off the lake and there is some very good fishing there. My friends and I all caught about 40-50 fish and I personally caught a nice northern pike. The house is very cozy and is very roomy for 6-7 people and the view of the lake is amazing. The owners are very nice and easy to do business with. I will promise anyone that chooses to stay here you will have nothing short of a spectacular time.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

Bob, your house on Lake Delavan is so very cozy and 30 feet from the dock made it so easy to go fishing and parking my boat at you dock was very convenient. The house has everything you need for cooking, meals, etc. and a very nice view of the lake. The sunsets on the end of the dock were beautiful and the location on the lake was perfect. The fire pit-bonfire was very relaxing as well. Gayle and I had a great weekend stay and we will definitely be back next year.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

My wife and I took our 2-month year old son to Bob and Laura's cottage on Lake Delevan in Summer 2011. The home is cozy, comfortable, clean and set perfectly on the lake. All you need to bring is food and cold drinks to enjoy a relaxing vacation... everything else is provided for you. The area is very laid back and not pretentious like some of the other communities in the area and the location on the lake cannot be beat (the sunsets from the porch are amazing)! The neighbors are fairly close on both sides but you still have your privacy and everyone is very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to take our little guy back next year.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

Bob and Laura, thank you for making our stay at your home in Delevan a trip we will never forget. We felt like we were right at home from the moment we walked in. You provide everything anyone would need to have a truly peaceful and relaxing vacation. Now that I have been there, the next time we know that all we need to bring is cloths, food and drinks because you seem to have everything else. I met a few of your neighbors while we were there also who were very nice and helpful. We look forward to coming back to your home again in the near future. Thanks again for everything. Scott.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
