  "My husband and I just stayed at this condo in Arlington, VA and it was incredible! First of all, my husband was in DC for business and I brought our kids with us. The location was perfect as you absolutely do not need a car. Right out your door are grocery stores, restaurants, shops, the Ballston Mall, and for our kids, ice skating, movies and parks. The building has great amenities, such as a pool, workout room, business and media center. The owner was so accommodating and help set an itinerary for me and the kids. The unit itself is beautifully kept, and you can tell that the owners are meticulous about the care and cleanliness of their condo. They had all new linens/towels, which my husband and I really particular about and the kitchen is really well equipped with clean and new appliances and supplies – it was great for cooking for the kids. Lastly, the owner was amazing to communicate with, as it can be a little unnerving to rent a place without seeing it. We highly recommend a stay here – it will not disappoint you."

  If you plan to stay here, recommend visiting the property first. We arrived at this apartment and were so disappointed at how inaccurate the photographs and description were that we got a hotel that would take us that night. (We had just flown across the country, pregnant, with two small children.) The descriptors of "luxury" and "furniture and linens from Pottery Barn and Nordstrom" may be true of the photos still listed on the website, but not of the actual apartment. The apartment felt dingy, and had been poorly maintained. To the owner's credit, the owner seemed genuinely surprised at the condition of the property and regretful that the photos had not been updated to reflect the current state of being. The owner refused to give us a full refund and instead provided an 80% refund: our plan had been to stay the whole month or more so we felt they still retained too much considering the apartment is not as pictured and not as described. Since our talk with the own back in August, the apartment has supposedly been repainted, but the old photos are still listed -- and in those photos it does look like a nice place. (We really thought we might have entered the wrong apartment, but confirmed with the owner that this was they one they were advertising on VRBO.) The place is not horrible, just not as comfortable as the furniture and linens in the photographs project. Again, recommend visiting first or at least requesting current photos before you commit.

  This apt. is in a fantastic area, clean and easy to get around. You're near all the main lines for transporation and you can't want for anything here. My time here was fantastic, I highly recommend it.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.
