My cousin and I had high expectations for our trip to Paris. William and Guillaume helped to make our stay amazing and all we could have hoped for. Their home was lovely, clean and oh so "French"! After a long day of sightseeing it was so wonderful to come "home" to the apartment and just relax. The neighborhood was friendly and so convenient to shopping, restaurants, and of course the Metro. I have traveled around the world and this is at the top of my list for destinations not only because of the remarkable city, but because of our special, caring hosts. Thanks so much to you both for everything.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My 11 yo daughter and I stayed in William and Guillaume's rental apartment for 2 weeks and can highly recommend our accommodation as superb. The apartment exceeded all our expectations from the high quality linen and towels to the smaller unexpected touches like a bowl of after-dinner mints left next to the silver service coffee set. William had the apartment stocked with all that you could possibly need to cook a five course meal or to simply have a take-away meal with complimentary extra touches of beer, coke and water. Guillaume took us on a tour of the neighbourhood on our arrival and made our stay even more special by making us feel at home in our environment and familiar with the local transport that is little more than a very short walk away. The number 95 bus actually stops right at the door and will whisk you into Paris central in no time at all. William and Guillaume are the perfect hosts and are a pleasure to know. We look forward to our next visit to Paris and will be sure to return to our 'home away from home'.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at this lovely apartment could not have been nicer, from the moment we arrived and received a warm welcome from Guillaume and a personal tour of Montmartre, to the time we departed at 600am on a snowy morning with William and Guillaume there to see us safely into our shuttle to the airport. The apartment is indeed special. They have thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay (and more) and you will want for nothing. And it is made all the more special as the apartment has all the personal touches which the hosts, having been formers residents, left behind for us to enjoy. The unit is impeccably maintained and William and Guillaume are available at all times to answer any questions and concerns or just as a resource for your visit to Paris. This is not merely a utilitarian apartment, rather truly a home for you to come back to at the end of each day! We loved the neighborhood. The apartment is only 4 blocks from the Metro Lamarck-Caulaincourt and within 2 blocks of the apartment you will find grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, bistrots, pattiseries, boucheries, fromageries, dry cleaners/tailors and a post office. It is simply a rental not to be passed up and we will, and already have, recommended it to others for future stays. And we will be back as well. Thank you William and Guillaume for a delightful stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Just returned from a one week stay at this Montmontre apartment and our only regret was that we could not stay longer. Everything is exactly as stated and pictured but better in person. We were two couples and surprised at the privacy afforded by the layout of this absolutely stunning apartment. Easy access to the Metro, buses that stop literally outside the door, and good inexpensive restaurants everywhere. However, the very best part were our hosts, William and Guillaime. We felt more like guests in their home than mere travelers renting a space. It was wonderful having them near if we had questions or needed anything. Having visited Paris more than a dozen times and stayed in apartments 4 of those times, I can truly say this is the best. However, it is not suitable for young children due to the quality of the antiques, etc.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Beautifully decorated, cozy, excellent location and wonderful hosts! I must say that staying in this apartment more than made our trip a once in a lifetime experience! Truely one of the best places I have stayed in my many many years of travelling, and the top of the list for the generosity of the owners going out of their way to make us feel welcome! My husband and I (from New York), my brother and his wife (from California) stayed at this beautiful and luxury apartment from 12-03-2012 to 12-10-2012. William arranged airport pick up and drop off which was very helpful. They provide all the luxury accessories that travelers could hope to have. Fresh fruits, packed water, soft drink, beer in refrigerator, washer and dryer. Gourmet coffee plus American coffee maker let us feel like home. We enjoyed eating breakfast in the beautiful dining room. William and Guillaume are such a great host. Even William showed us how to use washer and dryer, I had to call him and ask how to open the front washer door. They came over to the apartment right the way to show us how. Guillaume took us on a two hour tour of Montmartre and provided us all information we need to tour Paris. Thank you William and Guillaume. We will be back soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We arrived at 99 bis rue Lamark on November 12 and enjoyed it immensely. The apartment looked glorious in the listing and pictures, and it exceeded our expectations in person. Everything that was described was at our fingertips. The elevator to the apartment was cozy. The kitchen was beautifully appointed, and Guillaume and William had it stocked with anything we could wish for. The apartment was furnished with gorgeous antiques, but still very comfortable and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, the towels first class. William answered my email questions immediately, and Guillaume took us on a walk through his neighborhood so we were able to find special shops and cafes easily. The bus stop was right outside the door and getting into Paris by metro or bus was very easy. Guillaume arranged a shuttle for us to the airport after our stay, and he was very kind and helpful in so many ways. We loved our stay at this lovely location, and would recommend it to friends. Thank you William and Guillaume for making our arrangements and stay so memorable.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We are expats living in Germany and have traveled much in Europe. Our stay at this apartment was by far our best accommodations in all our travels. Not only is the place itself magnificently charming and extremely well maintained, but the owners truly go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect! The apartment amenities were just as stated plus some. We loved Paris and will go back! This apartment will be the only place we stay. Both the bus stop and the metro station were a quick 5 minute walk allowing you to access all of Paris plus Disneyland and Versailles very easily! The Montmartre area itself is beautiful and the apartment is situated closely to bakeries, grocery stores and restaurants.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My daughter and I stayed in this apartment in September and loved every minute. It is beautifully furnished and has everything you could want or need. There were soft drinks and beer in refrig and even fresh fruit. Kitchen was a dream. Hosts were outstanding. They helped us with our transportation around the city -- return bus stops right at the door, and both Metro and bus lines are very near. Our hosts made arrangements for our transportation to the airport upon our departure. We were given a wonderful tour of the neighborhood and suggestions about restaurants in the area. Our only problem was our time in this beautiful apartment was too short. We have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this apartment and the hosts. Pictures actually don't do it justice. Both of us would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Fabulous stay in Paris. An eclectic and well appointed apartment. So French, warm, at-home feeling, luxury without being stuffy. I am very critical about where I stay and I was very pleased with this apartment. It exceeded our expectations. Location is excellent for attractions and restaurants. The web pictures do not give you a true sense of the luxury this apartment offers. You can sit, gaze over the antiques to decide which is your favorite, admire the efficiency of this high end kitchen as you feel guilty needing so much kitchen space back home while still having half the luxury, wave to your neighbors having breakfast on the balcony across the street, decide which classic novel you want to explore today, wonder how you can change your rooms back home to add some of the architectural details you see here, fall asleep in the softness and crispness of the high end sheets and pillows, open the iron window gates to breathe in the fresh air or try to decide if the paintings are what you think they are....I won't tell. It was not our first choice but it was the best choice. Our host could not have been more gracious and helpful. They had Paris maps for us. They had beverages for us upon arrival and fine chocolate mints. They had high count bed sheets, great French coffee, personal care items in the shower, loads of toilet paper, a personal tour of Montmarte and cable/satellite TV for us Americans. This was my third trip to Paris and my second in more recent years. I loved our first stay but we also paid highly for it. This apartment gave us a comparable feeling and experience at half the cost. That's a tall order to fill but fill it they do. They love serving as host and it shows.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We did not have the pleasure of meeting Guilaume; however, William was a gentleman and a perfect host. The apartment is exactly as described, impeccably furnished and equipped, absolutley no extra costs and yet with so many extra amenities - fresh fruit, coffee, spices, bottled water, extra towels, washroom necessities etc. The location in Montmartre makes access to Paris easy - we (4 Canadian professionals who stayed here for 4 nights in August 2012) walked everwhere from the apartment and we took the bus and metro, both very close, whenever needed. William arranged our shuttle from the airport and to the TGV Gare to Lyon; moreover, he gave us a short tour of Montmartre immediately upon our arrival. We could not imagine a better accommodation and give this our highest recommendation - no one would be disappointed staying here.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

It was super! We were offered shuttle service at a reasonable price. We were taken on a walking tour of the area around the luxurious apt. We were given tips about bus service and Metro. Our host lived upstairs and was receptive when needed. We were graciously welcomed and tended to. The fuuly equipped kitchen allowed us to cook, serve on formal china and entertain 10 for an evening meal. The apt allowed for 2 couples to have their separate space. The apt has expensive decorations which are toddler cautious. The entire experience was great!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This flat is everything it says it is and more! Read the other reviews for details. My review serves merely as confirmation of the others. The flat is decorated in 18th century Parisian style. Opulent is not too strong a word to use. And the flat is completely modern, with all the luxury accessories American travelers could hope to find: air conditioning, dishwasher, ice cube maker, self grinding coffee maker, washer, dryer, beautiful bathrooms, surround sound system, flat screen TVs, etc. The only problem is that the flat is so modern, it takes awhile to figure out how everything works. But Guillaume and William live right upstairs, and they were always available to help. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence is rarely seen in the rental business. Moreover, their affection and caring consideration toward their visitors is unprecedented. Guillaume took us on a two hour tour of Montmartre. William helped us find French cooking classes, and then personally escorted us to them. Guillaume and William made us feel like we were family. Thank you both for making our Paris visit unforgettable. Our 10 year old grandson, Ian, is already talking about a return visit to study French.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I spent a week in July in this beautiful apartment, along with another couple, and we wished it could have been much longer. The space is perfect for two couples, with bedrooms on opposite ends of a horseshoe shaped layout which is furnished with just about anything one can imagine. Furnishings range from a very sleek and modern exquisitely designed gourmet kitchen to gorgeous French antique furniture, clocks and lighting fixtures as well as great books and music. William and Guillaume were perfect hosts, acquainting us with the apartment and how everything worked, as well as sharing their considerable knowledge about Montmartre. There were available to help answer questions or give great restaurant suggestion for the immediate neighborhood, but were never intrusive on our privacy. I love staying in Montmartre for its sense of small community and the close availability of great boulangeries, cheese shops and everything you might need, while close metro and bus stops give easy access to every part of the city. I high recommend this apartment to anyone who loves comfort, art and antiques, though it is not suitable for small children unless they are unusually well behaved. We thank William and Guillaume for their artistic vision and hospitality, and we hope to be able to be able to return soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our first experience with VRBO and we can’t imagine a better introduction to the site than our 1-week stay at William & Guillaume’s beautiful apartment. It truly exceeded our expectations far as location, quality of the furnishings and hospitality of our hosts were concerned. We are a family of five (children aged 14, 10 and 7) and we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful way to enjoy Paris than eating at the local Montmarte restaurants & bakeries. We loved the gourmet kitchen that enabled us a break from constantly dining out, and grocery shopping couldn’t have been easier with the local fruits, vegetable & butcher stores around the corner. Transportation was a breeze with one of two available bus lines literally stopping at the door step. There is so much more we can say, but perhaps the best comment would be that if we were to return to Paris, this would be the apartment we would hope to stay in again. My parents, two daughters (ages 9 and 13), my husband and I recently stayed in this lovely apartment where we felt looked after but never intruded upon. The owners, who live upstairs, were very helpful and responsive to our questions and requests. We enjoyed eating breakfasts in the beautiful dining room. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The apartment was also well located - near lots of shops and restaurants, as well as metro and bus stops. I would definitley recommend this apartment to families with well behaved children. It is perfectly situated for 2 couples to stay. I would not recommend the apartment to anyone that is large in stature as many of the bathroom and hallway set-ups are narrow as the owners took great care in designing a beautiful home where all the space is well utilized.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Despite great photos on the listing etc, this apartment in Montmartre really isn't done justice in the listing. First, it's an exquisite space to spend a week in Paris; everything about it is first rate, most of all our gracious landlords W and G. From arranging our arrival and departure shuttles direct to the front door, and every moment in between, our hosts were the most hospitable folks we met on the trip! And we met lots of great, hospitable people in Paris.W&G made sure we felt welcome to their exquisitely decorated and completely modern rental apartment. Due to an overnight flight, we arrived early in the day before the apartment was ready, so G. took us on a walking tour of Montmarte, and we took his recommendations to heart, frequenting the bakery, wine shop, grocery, cheese shop, bistros and other great amenities just steps from the front door on a major thoroughfare in this great neighborhood. We were also just a few blocks from the Metro stop, and so we able to go everywhere in Paris that way, saving lots of $$ we would have spent on taxis. The kitchen in the apartment is fully gourmet, and we made many of our meals in the apartment (I'm a chef), both saving big $$ we could splurge on other things, and taking advantage of the butcher and green grocer nearby. We had friends visiting Paris the same week and we able to have them over for dinner in the formal dining room! Try that in a hotel! And, the nightly rate was below what we were quoted for two rooms for the week in even a modest hotel (there were 4 of us), so in truth we felt it was a bargain. We sincerely wish to return some day, and we are deeply grateful to W & G for making our stay in Paris far better than we could have imagined, and we can imagine pretty well. Thanks again for the great apartment and genuine hospitality, W&G, and I hope this review convinces many others how wonderful your apartment is. Au Revoir and Merci Beaucoup! The only way to do Paris! Amazing accomodations,we were taken such good care of. Four adults fit just fine and no one was on top of each other. Also, I have a disability with my knee and did just fine with the aprtment being on 6th floor because they have an elevator. So, got to enjoy the awsome views and not worry about getting around. It is rare for me to stay at apartments like that because of the stairs, not the case here. Wonderful neighborhood and an expirence of a life time. Great space and wonderful place to relax after long days of exploring Paris. Perfectly located near le marche, pastery shop, bank, resturants, historical sites. Got it all and great people. Can't wait to stay there again. Thank you for everything.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

From the moment we arrived, our entire experience in the apartment and with our hosts was just fantastic! Staying for ten days really felt like living in Paris. We didn't cook in the kitchen often, because there are plenty of great places to eat within two blocks in every direction, but it would be easy to cook up a dinner party for six people with all the equipment! The state of the art integrated music system, along with a selection of romantic/French CDs, and plenty of candles are some of the personal touches. Our hosts were never intrusive, but always on hand with advice, cab bookings, restaurant recommendations and genuinely friendly hospitality. In the immediate area you will find several gourmet food shops, bakeries, wine shops, a supermarket, and at least five restaurants and several bistrots. The neighbourhood is only five minutes walk from the Metro and tourist area of Montmartre, but far enough away to feel local and quiet. The Metro takes you to the Concorde area, and the bus 95 goes to Opera and the Louvre, so transport is no problem. Open any drawer and you will find exactly what you expect to find. Cling film in the kitchen, writing paper in the desk, and placemats in the dresser. Even the bathrooms are fully equipped with toilettries and towels galore. The apartment was so much more than we expected. The blend of ultra modern bathrooms and kitchen with traditional bedrooms and living areas works well. The bedrooms are very quiet, and the whole living area is light and open, although there are shutters for all the windows if you prefer darkness and privacy. I travel with my work and stay in hotels, and this apartment is much better value, and has so much more to offer in terms of quality, space and location than any hotel. 5 stars.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Yes, I imagine that any searcher on VRBO may come across this listing and think, '"This cannot be true...I ( and my family, my traveling companions) can stay, sleep, dream, cook, communicate in a place that looks like an ancestral home, better equipped than Versailles, for THIS price???” You may visit the major hotel websites, shake your head, and but you should return to this description by your landlords who live upstairs on the very top floor of the building. My BFF and I stayed here for one week in April of 2012, and assure you that the apartment is even more luxurious and welcoming than any picture can show. Our weather in Paris was dismal- and the value of having a warm, delightful, well-equipped home base prevented pneumonia- and despair. Just a few personal reflections about the absolute perfection of this flat on Rue Lamarck: a) the landlords are attentive, intelligent, helpful...but do not invade your privacy at all b) the bus stop is outside the door, and the nearest Metro station (Lamarck/Caulaincourt) on the green #12 line is a five-minute walk away c) a little supermarket is across the street- and fine bakeries, wine stores, fruit, flower, and vegetable vendors are literally at your feet. d) the kitchen almost made me regret returning home to mine- butcher block, three ovens, Henckel knives, beautiful cutlery and china and glassware - a pantry with basics and a wall full of spices...oh...and a Krups espresso machine that will save you many Euros with better coffee than any you can get at cafe's all around Paris e) bistros nearby in beautiful Montmartre where the cooking is divine- and your hosts can make recommendations because they KNOW all the owners personally. f) the joy of being surrounded by objets d'art that are genuine, exquisite, and warmly shared with tenants-- how exciting to sit in chairs or write home on an escritoire that would bear a "please do not touch" sign in any Paris museum. If you wish a historic yet totally updated Paris experience ( air conditioning, sound system, TV's, security system par excellence) this apartment is the place to be!!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My niece had rented the apartment for 2 months, and invited me to come visit while she was there. I have never stayed anyplace that was so well equipped. I tried to think of something that was missing the whole time I was there, and never could find anything. The apartment is so beautiful that I didn't care if I ever left it. The location is also perfect, with shopping converient, and the metro within walking distance. The owners are also extremely helpful and friendly, willing to do anything to make our stay more enjoyable. I would very definitely recommend this apartment, and hope I will be able to return there again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Where to begin this review? Perhaps with the helpful e-mail correspondence that went on for two or three months prior to our visit in which William fully answered and even anticipated our numerous questions, even going so far as to book a local restaurant for us for our Christmas eve dinner. Then there was the shuttle arranged to meet us at the airport - a great idea if you have a family, lots of luggage, have travelled overnight, and are jet-lagged - that for a reasonable charge brought us right to the apartment door to be greeted by Guillaume. Also, a special and completely unexpected touch - the (real) Christmas tree we found when we first entered the apartment, fully decorated and lit and under which was a present of marvelous chocolates from the local chocolatier. The apartment itself is everything claimed of it. It's wonderfully designed and fitted. The finish of everything is superb. Every aspect reveals a meticulous attention to detail. Would that we'd had more time to take advantage of the potentials of the brilliantly outfitted kitchen that has everything any serious chef could need. The immediate neighbourhood couldn't have been better. As others have noted, shops and services providing for everything for which anyone could wish abound within a few hundred yards of the front door. Transportation to the City centre, either bus or Metro, is a short walk away. If it sounds pretty much perfect, it is, the biggest problem being that one can just as happily curl up with one of the hundreds of available books or listen to any of the dozens of recordings on the superb, fully integrated audio system as go out and explore. Biggest regret apart from not using the kitchen more? Not being able to take advantage of Guillaume's offer of a guided tour of the neighbourhood. Next time, Guillaume? Cautions? Just two. This is not an apartment for small children. Nor would it be appropriate for very large people unless they like climbing stairs. The apartment is on the fifth floor. The elevator, like many Paris retrofits, is tiny, large enough only for two, average sized adults or one adult and luggage. Finally, we'd just like to say again, William, Guillaume, you were tremendous and no matter how fabulous the space, without you, it just wouldn't have been the same. I know we'll have to book months in advance, but we shall be back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We spent an unforgetable few days in Paris visiting all our favourite places and eating in some wonderful French restuarants but the luxury and comfort of this appartment will stay with us for a very long time. How lucky we were to find it. The warmth of the owners and the welcome we got when we arrived was touching. The appartment was full of style and panache and every creature comfort was there at our disposal, we could not think of a single thing that was missing or that could improve our stay. A few steps from the door we had a bus that passed through and to the tourist sights. In a few strides we hit the deli, the supermarket, the boulangerie and some highly recommended restaurants. Dont miss a stay here or you will miss part of the charm of Paris.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Being born in France, speaking French and visiting Paris every year, I can tell you first hand that Paris is a daunting, beautiful town. Lodging is at best difficult. Enter William and Guillaume, the perfect hosts with the perfect apartment in a great neighborhood. If you like to cook, this is the perfect setup. The kitchen is fully stocked (I own 3 restaurants) and I mean fully stocked. You will lack for nothing. The shops in the neighborhood are ideal for finding your culinary zen. From the butcher, baker and cheese maker, the neighborhood delivers everything you could want. The wine shop just around the corner has a charming female owner who knows her French wines. She can even speak a little English. In fact most of the shop keepers I saw in the area seemed eager to speak English. A far cry from a few years ago. Prices are good as well. All in all this is the perfect place to stay while visiting Paris. I can't wait to get back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had the pleasure of enjoying this Montmartre treasure for a full week. The apartment is exceptionally well-appointed and situated in close proximity to all shops and transportation. It was a five star experience in all ways: the period decor, the warm atmosphere and the outstanding amenities. From the moment we arrived, our hosts treated us like their personal guests; they were gracious and meticulous in their care of us. We believe we experienced Paris in a fuller way because of this rental. As a plus, we spent time in a part of the city away from the big touristy sites and we felt part of a community. This is an exceptional apartment where one is pampered in comfort and safety. A great find.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

VRBO offers fine vacation accommodations; we have rented VRBO properties in the past and been much satisfied. Nothing, however, prepared me for the flatout pleasure of renting this property. The rooms are EXACTLY as described and photographed. Not an inch of hyperbole. The standard of their decoration and comfort is exceptional, from extravagant bed linens to discreet but effective air conditioning, from a well-stocked kitchen (beer, water, pasta, spices and a full pantry) to lovely antiques. The owners, who live on the floor above, provide immediate attention to their guests, whether their helping visitors master the intricacies of the childproof stove or leading a walking tour of Montmarte. Our five-star review is inaccurate in only one sense. We were unable to give this apartment and its owners six stars. If you're going to Paris and want to stay in Montmarte look no further.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have always used VRBO faithfully, but have never had a rental this wonderful. Nothing could have prepared me for the wonder of this elegant jewel set in the best part of Montmartre. The pictures certainly do not do it justice. They don't tell you how every single item in the house is of the highest quality, every fixture installed with great attention to detail - all with the thought of the user's comfort in mind. I'm usually a sceptic, so when I first read that the owner's wish was to share the beauty of this place with others, I'll admit I was a doubter. After seeing how much time, energy, and cost went into preparing for us to come to this lovely rental, I would now agree that this is a verity. Food pantry was stocked with pate' and various food items, high quality oils, balsamic vinegars, etc. Refrigerator full of condiments and sodas. Freezer had two packs of tiny lobster tails and one entire lobster, along with other frozen goodies. Many are things that other patrons left along the way. This house is a home. It is not the caliber of a rental - it far surpasses that. The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is at the top of the hill and it borders a lively, bustling square filled with restaurants and artists all selling their paintings and sketchings. You can't miss that if you go! The house has a magnificent sound system installed that plays music throughout the house. There is one large and comfortable queen bed in each of the two bedrooms, as well as a pullout couch in the living room. Due to the fine quality of the interior, I'm not sure I would cram the place full of people. For us, three was perfect, but it can officially accommodate up to six. Though small, the kitchen is a dream, with all of the best appliances, all neatly tucked into ingenious places. They have certainly made brilliant use of the spaces. Antique clocks chime away the hour, and with the classical music and the open french windows and the sun pouring in, we felt very nostalgic for France. It is a rental to be enjoyed! Lastly, I would like to say that William was wonderful about arranging our last minute trip and is very trustworthy to deal with in every way. Breakfast on Saturday upstairs with William was lovely and we got to know about this area through him. He was just so helpful. Also, Guillaume helped us with checking out at 4 a.m.! I highly recommend this rental and it's one of the few that I most definitely will return to for enjoyment in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The owners of this gem have done a magnificent job of creating an atmosphere for a dream-like vacation. At times, we felt as if we were staying in a palace or a chateau: very classy! The large apartment is decorated tastefully and is impressive on several fronts. While the pictures here on the VRBO site are accurate, they almost don't do "the real thing" justice. You must see this one in person to get the full effect. The place is a prime candidate to be featured in an architecture/design magazine. It is a perfect mixture of classic style with modern amenities. In addition to a modern kitchen, the electrical/electronic systems are impressive. The sound system and wireless-internet options are better (and easier to use) than we ever imagined. The bedrooms are roomy, welcoming, and comfortable. The washer/dryer and dishwasher features are an added bonus (especially if you plan to stay for a few more days). Its location near two Metro stations and also near a major bus line to traverse the city made our stay very enjoyable/easy. We walked to Sacre Coeur on most evenings and felt as if we were honored by being real Parisian residents for the week. Perhaps the most telling experience of our stay is the way we looked forward to returning to the place each evening. While Paris is beautiful, the experience of this apartment was just as scenic and enjoyable. We looked forward to our "return to Versailles" each evening. The owners of this incredible abode provided us with a nice intro and tour of both: 1) the amenities in the apartment; and, 2) in and around the neighborhood. Their instructions regarding how to arrive there from the airport were clear, concise, and extraordinarily helpful. They both speak perfect English and are very personable. We feel as if we not only had a fabulous vacation, but also established a great friendship. We would love to rent this apartment again (and again ...).Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent one week in this sumptuous apartment. What a wonderful way to start out our European vacation. Everything that is written about the apartment is true. It is beautiful, comfortable, has every amenity imaginable, and comes with the best possible owner(s) anyone could ever want to rent an apartment from. The location is perfect. The neighborhood wonderful, with many eateries, shops, and specialty venues abound. The Metro is a couple of blocks away, so easy to use, and can have you to any area in the city within minutes. The apartment is clean, spotless, with wonderful loving touches everywhere. The beds are extremely comfortable with wonderful linens. There is freezing cold air-condtionaing for the summer, with a very well equipped kitchen. I do not exaggerate. You can not go wrong here. We were actually sad to say goodbye to William and Guillume. Thank you to both of you for being who you are.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Imagine sitting in a comfortable chair, drinking a glass of fine red wine, nibbling on the best baguette in town while listening to a street musician playing the trumpet and wondering where your hosts manage to find all the exquisite period furnishings that adorn the apartment. My wife and our three girls stayed here for a few nights and instantly fell in love with... well everything. The hosts are fantastic, kind, considerate and very obliging. The apartment is beyond explanation and full of interesting furnishings and collectables. Everything that we wanted to experience in Paris. The location is great. A short walk to fantastic restaurants, Sacre Coeure, an award winning patisserie and the bus stops right outside the front door although you'd never know from the 4th floor apartment. If you want to stay in the Montmarte area then don't look anywhere else. Stay here. You will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We were celebrating my best friend’s Big birthday. The apartment made it perfect. We made ourselves at home in this HUGE two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. Being from New York Area and knowing the size of city apartments, I was shocked at the size of the apartment, over 1100 sq. ft.. The pictures don’t do the apartment justice. It was everything it looked like in the pictures but better... It is located in a neighborhood setting; every morning we went up the hill for our baguette. The apartment is only a few blocks from the subway. But the best thing about the apartment and Paris were the owners. They were so nice and accommodating. They were there at our beckon call; anything we needed they were there to help us or recommend where to go or what to do. We couldn’t ask for anything more. When somebody asks me what I liked about Paris. I say the best thing were the owners of the apartment.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

William's apartment is everything you would dream of when you think of a Paris apartment. To sit in the living room is to envelope yourself in true French style. To sit there with a glass of champagne at the end of a day of sightseeing is the ultimate. If you like to cook in on occasion, the kitchen is fabulous, very efficient and so well appointed, the finest materials are in the kitchen and bathrooms. It made me feel, now I really have "arrived". The building itself is stunning and it is great to walk in the neighborhood to one of William's favorite restaurants or to wander through the artists in Montmartre, see the Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur and access all of the charms of Paris. We would come back again and againRecommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We were fortunate enough to stay in William's spectacular apartment on both my trips to Paris. The location in Montmartre, the proximity of the bus and the metro, as well as the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the area made the visits totally delightful. Both experiences were made more perfect by William's warm welcome, his exquisite personal decorating touches to the apartment, and his knowledge and love of his adopted city. English is his first language, so communication was no problem, and we found him to be an excellent source of information regarding all the sights as well as the restaurants. We would highly recommend a stay in this beautiful apartment in a very safe area of Paris.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
