Peaceful and comfortable. Swim, sunbathe, tube, kayak, build a campfire, stargaze, and if you're lucky, catch a rainbow!

Our 1400 square foot, year round cottage has 150 feet of lakefront, a 30 foot dock and a swim raft. Built in 1937, this traditional cottage sits ten feet from the waters' edge and is secluded from the state maintained road. The 3/4 acre property has a mix of woods and open, grassy areas. The sun rises on the far side of the lake and shines on the yard all day long.

Stinson Lake is surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest and once we get here, we don't want to leave. However, if the activity or destination is not right out the back door, it most likely is within an hours' drive. This includes golf; tennis; floating down the Baker River; berry picking; visiting the Flume, the Lost River Gorge, the Polar Caves, or Clark's Trading Post; canoeing the Pemi; skiing Tenney, Cannon, Loon, Waterville Valley, or Ragged.

The inside of the house is a non-smoking environment. It is accessed by two doors; the back door, closest to the steps and driveway, brings you into the mudroom and laundry area on your way in to the kitchen. The other door opens onto the enclosed front porch overlooking Stinson Lake. We use this area for dining in the summer. Between these two spaces is the living area; it is essentially two rooms that flow together.

The main living room has couches, comfortable chairs, and a wood stove. The other area is cozy and a great spot for reading or playing games. Beyond the living area are three bedrooms, and a bathroom that is just big enough for all of the essentials: tub/shower, toilet, and sink. The master bedroom has a double bed and two windows that open to the lake. The middle bedroom is the smallest, with room for a bunkbed: double bed on the bottom and a twin on the top. The third bedroom, farthest from the lake, has twin bunkbeds. Our kitchen is fully equipped with service for eight and ample storage space.
